Just as she thinks she’s about to succumb to her sleepiness, the darkness of the room and the warmth of his body wrapping around her like a blanket causing her eyes droop, she perks up at his voice. “Hey, you said that.. Because it’s my birthday, I can do whatever I want, right?” Her nose scrunches up, “I didn’t say exactly that.. But, sure. Let’s go with that.” He swallows nervously, free hand lifting up to caress her cheek, thumb brushing over her lower lip. Her breath catches, making his heart speed up ever so slightly. “Can I?
