Summary
It is the year 2099, and Earth has been gone for nearly fifty years. All humans live on Mars in pressurized domes, in a civilization that had started to feel like the only kind of home anyone can remember. When NASA selects six young women for the most ambitious deep-space mission in history, humanity holds its breath. For Megan Skiendiel, the mission is everything she has ever wanted and nothing she was prepared for, least of all Jeong Yoonchae, the most self-contained person Megan has ever met. Six months in, a rerouted heading and two words, "candidate zone," begin to pull at a thread that will unravel everything they think they know about why they were sent out there. But at the center of all of it is the gravity between two people who found each other at the edge of the known universe and discovered that some distances cannot be measured in kilometers.
OR
A young medical officer on the most ambitious space mission in human history finds, somewhere between the stars and a discovery that changes everything, that the most uncharted territory is the girl tending the garden at the heart of the ship.

Summary
In a country like Indonesia, where religion is a social norm and love is tightly defined, queer love is often pushed into silence. It is forced to exist quietly—through stolen glances, hidden hands, and constant fear of being seen. Love here doesn’t get to be loud or safe.
And yet, it still exists.
To love in a place that tells you not to is an act of resistance. Even when it has to hide from judgmental stares and inherited hatred, queer love survives—soft, careful, but real. Sometimes, surviving is its own kind of courage.
Inspired by the dialogue from Selamat Pagi, Malam (2014)
"Religion plays such a big role here, yeah?"
"Makanya (That's why)"
"Makanya apa? (That’s why what?)"
"There's no place for us here."Series
