Timeline: 10 years before the current events
Giada's pov
"Okaa-san I'm going to the park. I'll be back before it gets dark" I say to my mom before putting on my shoes
"Giada-chan you know that I'm ok with you going to the park alone but always remember-" she starts saying before I cut her mid-sentence
"To not talk with strangers and never accept anything from them. I'm a big girl okaa-san, I already know these things"
She smiles and crouches down in front of me, putting her hand on my head and moving my hair a little
"I know that you're a big girl Giada-chan, you and Shin-chan are growing up so fast" she says before wiping away a tear that fell from her eye
"Mom don't cry"
After that little moment she stands up and looks at me smiling
"Now go to the park sweetie"
*At the park*
I'm at the swings with one of my friends, whose name is Suzuki Sonoko, when we both see the guy who sells ice-creams
"Giada-chan do you want some ice-cream?" Sonoko asks
I nod my head at her question and she takes my hand, guiding me to her mother that is sitting on a bench
"Okaa-san can we get some ice-cream please?"
We go towards the guy and wait for our turn
"Good afternoon little ladies, what flavour do you want?"
"Chocolate and vanilla please" Sonoko says
"Strawberry please" I say after her
After buying our ice-creams Sonoko tells me she has to go home so I give her a hug before waving her goodbye
I start walking around the park while licking my ice-cream until I see a woman sitting on a bench alone
She looks sad
Without thinking about it I start going towards her
"Onee-san, are you alright?" I ask the lady
She looks up when she hears my voice
Now that I have the chance to look at her face I can say that she's very pretty
"Your eyes are very beautiful onee-san" I say at her
The lady shows me a little smile and starts speaking
"You shouldn't talk to strangers little one but I'll answer your question anyway...yeah I'm alright, I just had a long day"
I look at her not believing what she's saying and that's when an idea pops in my mind
"Here onee-san, take my ice-cream" I say extending my hand with the cone towards her
"Why are you giving me your ice-cream?" she asks
"Because you're sad and when I'm sad my mom always gives me ice-cream to cheer me up, I hope it works for you too" I say showing her my biggest smile
She stares at me with a look of surprise in her eyes before she shows me a small smile
"Thank you..."
"Giada, Kudo Giada" I finish her sentence
"What's your name onee-san?" I ask after
"My name's Vermouth"
What a strange name
"I don't think that's a name miss, what's your real one?"
"I can't tell you" she answers
"But why?" I ask
"Because it's a secret"
She puts her index finger in front of her mouth and whispers
"A secret makes a woman, woman"
After that she crouches down and gives me a kiss on the cheek
"Thanks for the ice-cream, you made my day a lot better" she says before going away
I smile to myself, thinking about the fact that I made that lady happy
Looking up at the sky I see that it's getting dark so I decide to go home
*At home*
"Welcome back Giada-chan, did you have fun at the park?" mom asks me
"Yeah I had so much fun okaa-san" I answer
I go inside my room and lay in my bed as I start thinking about the woman I met today
I hope to meet her again one day
