Work Text:
Everyone was out doing their own thing tonight. Joon-gi Han had gone to talk to Seong-Hui. Namba was visiting his brother. Adachi went out for a drink with Takashi. Eri was spending time with her Grandmother. Saeko was checking in on her girls at the bar. Kasuga wasn't sure what Zhao was doing that night and considered shooting out a text to see if he wanted to hang out, but wasn't sure if he would be interrupting anything. He had gotten so used to having everyone around all the time these days that on the rare occasions whenever he was by himself he felt a bit lonely. But he knew there was no real reason for him to be so down about it, everyone would be back later anyway.
'Might as well head over to Survive and get drunk till someone eventually comes back,' he sighed in defeat and headed off in the direction of the bar.
As Kasuga pushed open the door and walked in, his mood lightened when he saw Zhao sitting down at the end of the bar. If he was being honest, he was glad it would only be the two of them tonight. Zhao would let down his guard around Kasuga and talk more openly with him when the others weren't around. It always made him feel special in a way. Zhao looked up from his phone and grinned when he saw him.
“Kasuga-kun! You're here! I was starting to wonder if it was just going to be me tonight.”
“I was just thinking the same thing,” Kasuga said as he sat next to him.
From the looks of it, he had a bit of a head start by the time Kasuga walked in. As the Bartender got Kasuga his drink, Zhao hummed happily as he scrolled up on his phone that was laying on the bar top. Curious, Kasuga glanced over. Seems he was looking at recipes. Kasuga couldn't help but be hopeful Zhao was planning on making dinner again soon. After a moment he pushed the phone off to the side. Zhao sighed contently, folding his arms on the counter and rested his head on them. He seemed to really be enjoying his new found freedom. Seeing Zhao so carefree was heartwarming.
“Quiet night tonight,” Zhao said, reaching out and playing idly with his glass, “Not that I mind. It's nice to not have other smaller problems giving us a headache on top of the migraine we already have going.”
“I feel that,” Kasuga took a drink, “But its only a matter of time before some sort of fresh hell breaks loose, so its simple moments like this we have to savor.”
With a small smile, Zhao shifted his head slightly to look up at him through the side of his glasses. He looked incredibly soft like that. For a moment it felt like Kasuga forgot how to breathe. There was another reason he was happy it was just two of them tonight. While Kasuga was the type to just say whatever entered his mind, he felt he couldn't say anything quite yet. He turned away focusing on his glass. Still, should he say a little something at least? Kasuga cleared his throat.
“Zhao?”
“Yeah?”
“I, uh, I've been meaning to tell you how grateful I am for having you here.”
“Hm?” Zhao seemed more alert at that remark.
“Its just, I've been thinking lately. You're always on board with whatever idea I have. You support whatever it is completely and will defend it. Without you, Seong-Hui and Chairman Hoshino wouldn't have agreed to the election plan. And then while everyone was trying to talk me out of the food delivery idea at Omi HQ you were already working on a way to make it happen. I mean, I appreciate everyone trying to help me think things through, but its nice to have someone in my corner who doesn't think I'm completely crazy from the start.”
Zhao slowly sat upright.
“I have faith you, man. Anyone who throws themselves right into chaos and still manages come out on top time and time again, well, they have to be doing something right. I mean its safe to say you have a track record at this point,” he smiled before he became a little more serious, “You let your emotions rule your head and not everyone sees things the way you do. While the idea you have is great, the way you deliver of it can seem irrational to others. Truthfully, if I really didn't think one of your ideas would work I would say so, but I know you have the potential, so I'm always more than willing to place my bet on you.”
“Damn dude, are you always this articulate when you're drunk?” Kasuga stared at him in amazement.
“Hell if I know,” Zhao drained his glass, “But that's how I really feel about it. You're a wild card, but a winner every time.”
Something about being called a “winner” was very touching. Honestly, everything he said was.
“I really don't know what to say, other than thank you,” Kasuga grinned, “I didn't expect that to be so heartfelt.”
“Well, you just happen to bring out that side of me,” Zhao said gazing at him softly.
“I have to head out early tonight, watch the place for me, will you?” the Bartender said, interrupting their moment.
“Oh, uh, okay?” Kasuga said a little confused, as he watched the Bartender walk out from behind the bar.
“If you pour yourself any more, either write it down on your tab or put the money by the register,” he
said putting on his coat as he headed to the door.
“Sure thing?”
“Night,” he shut the door behind him.
There was a moment of silence.
“That was strange,” Zhao muttered finally.
“He's kind of a strange guy, honestly. Nice, but strange.”
The night progressed and they moved on from that conversation to others, which Kasuga was slightly relieved about, worried if it had continued he might accidentally say something stupid. And the way Zhao was staring at him before, he could safely say it would've been a close call. They ended up having a several more drinks, though they might not have written each one on their tabs. Before they knew it their “personal” bottle was empty. With a pout, Zhao looked around and noticed another on the lower counter behind the bar top. He got up and leaned over to grab it.
“Well this one's a little over half full,” he swished it around lightly as he sat back down, “What do ya say to one more?”
“Yeah, why the hell not?” Kasuga pushed his glass over.
Zhao went to pour it into the glass, but missed it entirely. It took them both a solid few seconds of confusion to process that the alcohol was spilling onto the counter.
“Oh shit!” Kasuga was the first to come to his senses.
Quickly, he took Zhao's hand and pulled it up to stop the flow. Slowly they lowered the bottle and set it down, still staring at the puddle that had formed and was starting to drip off the edge of the counter.
“We just wasted all that booze,” Zhao murmured in amazement.
“We?!”
“What should we do?!” he turned to Kasuga.
“Um, um,” his brain felt like it was only working at half power and then, “The counter is clean! Yeah! We can just scoop it back into the bottle!”
“Kasuga-kun,” Zhao looked at him like he was crazy before smiling happily, “That's great idea!”
Kasuga got up from his stool causing him to sway a bit before regaining his balance, more or less. He staggered behind the bar and grabbed the bottle. He put his hand on the counter, ready to carefully try and maneuver the whiskey to edge.
“No, no, wait! Use a glass first!” Zhao waved at him.
“Huh?”
“If you try to put it into the bottle, the mouth is too small, it'll spill everywhere!”
Oh. That did make sense. Kasuga put the bottle down and took one of the clean whiskey glasses and started to push the liquid off the counter into it.
“Its working! Its working!” Kasuga shouted in drunken excitement.
Zhao suddenly sputtered and started laughing. Kasuga looked up, staring at him in confusion.
“Why are you laughing?! This is serious!” Kasuga turned back to trying to scrape the alcohol into a new glass.
“I just,” Zhao snickered, “I don't know. Just seein you like that! Shits so funny to me. Wait! Hold on! Look up at me!”
“Wha-?” Kasuga looked up in time for Zhao to take a picture of him.
“Zhao!”
“What?”
“You can't show that to anyone! That's, like, incriminating evidence!”
“I'm not going to show the others. But I have to say, you look great in this photo.”
“Oh, I do?”
He turned his phone for Kasuga to see.
“You used… the dog filter…”
“Cute, right? Especially with your angry face.”
“Wait a second,” Kasuga thought for a moment, with some difficulty, “You're the one who spilled it. Why am I cleaning it up?”
Zhao looked like he had been caught red handed for something.
“You jumped up first to take care of it,” he said quickly.
“Why didn't you stop me?”
“Umm,” Zhao looked off to the side, “Well you seemed to have pretty good handle on it and I came up with the idea to use the glass. So, um, think of it as I'm supervising.”
He plain just didn't want to do it.
“Tch. You spoiled-”
“Yeah I am,” Zhao cut him off, resting his cheek in his hand, grinning.
There was something about when Zhao would get cheeky with him like that, Kasuga just couldn't help but enjoy it, for some reason. He grabbed the roll paper towels next to him and pushed it in Zhao's face.
“Here. You're wiping down the counter, Mr. Supervisor.”
Zhao sighed and took the roll.
“Alright fine,” he muttered as he ripped a few sheets from it.
By some miracle they managed to get most of the whiskey back in the bottle and the bar cleaned up. Kasuga sat back on his stool and rested his forehead on the counter. He was too drunk to deal with any of that.
“Alright, fun's over. I think we've had enough,” Kasuga mumbled.
“Sure you don't want one more?”
Kasuga turned his head to look at him.
“You, especially, have had enough,” he said firmly.
“Okay,” Zhao said quietly, looking embarrassed.
After a moment, Kasuga got up, wobbling a little as he stretched.
“You should head upstairs and try to sleep this off. I'll wait around down here till someone comes back.”
Zhao glanced at him real quick.
“Um, alright…” Zhao quietly cleared his throat.
There was an odd pause that the end, as if he had more to say but changed his mind. Kasuga watched as Zhao stood up from his stool, stumbled about three feet and started to fall forward.
“Whoa!” Kasuga rushed over and quickly caught him, “Careful, man. Don't want you breaking your face.”
He looked down at him with a warm smile. Zhao stared up at him in drunken wonder, before looking away with a chuckle.
“Kasuga-kun, always coming to my rescue,” he said softly, “What would I do without ya?”
“Well in this case you probably would've kissed the floor.”
Zhao snorted a laugh.
“You're so weird,” he slurred out, then put his arms around Kasuga's waist, resting his head on his chest, “So warm too.”
Kasuga froze. Zhao wasn’t exactly the touchy-feely type, he must be more drunk than either of them thought. That or he was really starting to open up more. Either way, the hug felt great.
“You smell good,” Zhao hummed, “Is that Twist?”
“Thanks! Yeah. Found it yesterday in one of those suitcases that was lying around.”
“Oh yeah, I've been wondering what those are about. City's weird.”
“No shit,” Kasuga muttered.
There was a moment of silence between them. A warm, fuzzy feeling took over him and Kasuga raised his hand to place it on Zhao's head, but quickly realized what he was doing and held back. He was enjoying the close contact a little too much.
“Anyway, we should probably get you to bed,” he dropped his hand, “You want some help getting up the stairs?”
“Um. I wanna say “no” just to be difficult, but I don't think I have the energy for that right now,” Zhao mumbled and leaned on him more.
Kasuga laughed.
“Well good, because I would feel terrible if you fell or something. I'd end up having to carry you.”
“Hm. Maybe I'll be difficult then, but we'll skip the part where I hurt myself and you can just carry me up.”
“Oh? You want me to carry you?”
Zhao made a choking noise.
“You're right about me needing to sleep this off,” he said quickly.
“Wha-?”
“Just help me up the stairs, please.”
Like some sort of comedy routine, they tried to navigate the stairs together. Bumping into the walls, tripping up and missing steps, Zhao almost fell again this time almost taking Kasuga down with him. They made it about halfway up but then had to take a second since Kausga's head was spinning; honestly, the both of them probably needed someone else's help. After what seemed like forever they finally made it to the top.
“Too many stairs. Stairs suck,” Kasuga whined as he dragged himself and Zhao into the front part of the room.
Making their way to the back Zhao lost his balance. Trying not to fall, they tripped over themselves and fell to the ground anyway, Zhao landing on Kasuga. With a laugh, Kasuga sat up as Zhao pushed himself up from the ground. His hair was a little out of place and his glasses were resting near the tip of his nose.
“Makin myself look like a real ass tonight,” he muttered, “Sorry about that.”
“You're fine,” Kasuga smiled, “If anything, I think you're kind of cute like this.”
Kasuga lightly pushed his glasses back into place, Zhao’s eyes crossed slightly as he did so. He looked up at Kasuga in reverence.
“How are you this wonderful?”
“Huh?” it felt like Kasuga's heart skipped a beat, “Wonderful?”
“After everything you've gone through and still are going through, you remain kind and selfless. You just want to help everyone and want them to be happy. Because of that, you've brought so many different people together and we all somehow get along perfectly. It's amazing. I'm so grateful you and everyone let me be a part of this ragtag group of yours. Honestly, I can't remember the last time I felt this connected to others. I feel so lucky.”
Where was this coming from all of a sudden?
“When Mabuchi started that coup-,” he cut off and looked off to the side, “You barely knew me, you didn't owe me shit, you had every right to leave me hangin if you wanted, and yet you were still determined to come to my rescue. Who the hell does that? Sometimes its almost unbelievable you consider me to be your friend. That you would take me in. That you'd go out of your way for me, worry and care about me, so genuinely. You're amazing. You're-Uh…”
Zhao looked a little worried.
“Oh! I'm… I'm a mess tonight,” Zhao moved away and sat back on the floor, “Just look at me spillin my guts to you like a drunken idiot. Shit.”
“No, no. You're fine, really,” he paused for a moment, “I really don't mind you telling me all this. I'm glad, actually. You know I like seeing this side of you. I already knew you were like this deep down. Its nice to see you wearing your heart on your sleeve.”
“Heart on my sleeve, huh?” Zhao absentmindedly traced circles with his finger on the floor, then sighed, “Kasuga?”
“Yes?”
“I'm not sure if you've noticed, but I'm pretty sure you have, um,” he took a deep breath, “You mean a lot to me and I owe so much to you. I… I feel you've made me remember what a real connection between two people should feel like. Knowing that the other person also cares for me.”
Kasuga's heart was pounding. Was he…?
“As weird and as selfish as it may sound, I'm thankful for you interfering and unknowingly helped the Great Wall fall apart. Even if you never took that bait and got involved, Mabuchi would have tried to kill me eventually, war or no war. I know that now,” he voice wavered slightly, “I should've listened to you that night you showed up at my door. I just didn't want to hear it or believe it. I just-”
He bit his lip and shook his head sadly before moving on.
“When the dust finally settled and I realized I finally found a way out of my position in the Liumang, I also realized it was you who gave me that way out. In a sense, you had given me the chance to live in more ways than the one,” he sighed, “You talk about wanting to be a hero and, honestly, I already think you are. I consider you my hero at least.”
Again it seemed Zhao had said more than he meant as he suddenly looked embarrassed.
“God. Hearing myself say it out loud sounds so goddamn cliché! Ugh!” Zhao grumbled, covering his face.
“You really mean all that?” Kasuga asked in disbelief.
“Yes,” he whined and after a moment he dropped his hands and stared at him, “Damn it. Ya know, since I'm getting this all out now and I'm drunk enough, I'm just gonna come right out and say it point-blank: Kasuga, I really have thing for you, alright? Like I'm completely and utterly just crazy for you.”
Kasuga's jaw dropped slightly.
“I thought maybe it was just some sort of “damsel in distress, saved by the brave knight” kind of shit that had me feeling like this, and it probably started out like that, but then we started really getting to know each other. You're passionate, kind, caring, you're hilarious too. It was kind of hard not to fall for you. And I know that we flirt a lot, what I don't know if that's you not being aware that you're flirting or you are and just having fun, but I've been meaning everything I've been saying pretty much from the start.”
Kasuga tried to say something, but nothing came out. He was starting to feel like an idiot with his mouth hanging open.
“Um, Kasuga?” Zhao asked nervously.
“Zhao, I…”
Frustrated he was unable to find his words immediately, he simply reached out and pulled Zhao close to his chest.
“Kasuga?” Zhao breathed.
“I do feel the same for you. And I'm sorry I left you confused about about it. I know I tend say things without thinking most of the time and it might've seemed like I was unknowingly flirting with you, but I really do mean all of it. You mean so much to me,” he took a deep breath, “Sometimes I feel like, in a certain way, you seem to understand me a little better than most people. It's comforting. And whenever you talk to me, like really talk to me, you let your walls down and I get to see that other side of you, I truly adore it. You call me amazing, but you're such an amazing person yourself.”
He felt Zhao put his arms around him, holding onto him tightly.
“As difficult to talk about as it is, when we faced off with Mabuchi for the last time; you were so willing to put your life on the line to make sure he got out alive even after everything he did and was still going to do to you,” he paused for a moment, then said in a serious tone, “That was some of the strongest shit I have seen in a long time. There aren't many people who would or could do something like that. And while I was angry with him for what he did to you, I couldn't help but admire your compassion and your courage and determination. I respected you before that, but seeing you like that just cemented those feelings further. I found it moving.”
“Y-you serious?”
“Completely.”
Zhao pulled away to look at Kasuga. He looked like he had been fighting back tears.
“Why didn't you say so sooner? Not nice to leave a guy in the dark, ya know” Zhao lifted his glasses to wipe the side of his eye.
“Its not like I haven't thought about saying something,” Kasuga rubbed the back of his neck, “I think about it a lot actually and I meant to bring it up at some point later. It's just… it wasn't the sort of thing that was at the top of my list of priorities, with everything else going on.”
“Oh… I understand,” he started to lean away from Kasuga.
Zhao seemed like he was trying to hide his disappointment, but was still a little too drunk to pull it off.
“I don't mean that we can't… I don't mind if we, um, I mean the cats out of the bag, right? So like, what the hell?” Kasuga shrugged and pulled him close again.
After a quiet moment of surprise, Zhao laughed.
“You really just go with the flow, don't you?”
“Well, we already told each other how we feel, so-”
“Yeah about that,” Zhao gave him a stern look, “Don't you dare tell anyone anything I said, alright? No one can know.”
And here he goes putting up the front again. That didn't take very long.
“I won't say anything.”
“Promise?” Zhao brought his face closer, glaring at him.
“Yes! I promise!” Kasuga leaned away a little, “You going to turn me into a meat bun if I don't?!”
“No, but you certainly would be the softest and the sweetest if I did,” Zhao said lifting his glasses onto the top of his head and moved closer.
He took Kasuga lightly by the chin and pulled him into a kiss. How many times had Kasuga thought about this? Zhao pulled away for a moment before going back in for another, a little more passionate this time. As Zhao slipped his tongue between Kasuga's lips, Kasuga slipped his hands under Zhao's jacket and brought them up his back, pulling him close. Zhao brought his arms back, shaking his jacket off, letting it fall behind him. Kasuga felt his stomach flip with excitement and nerves. He had no idea where things were heading tonight or far it would go, but he wasn't going to question it right now. With his attention back on Kasuga, Zhao placed his hands on either side of his face and with a bit more force, pulling him into another kiss. He was demanding, but gentle, fitting, considering his personality. And Kasuga was more than willing to let him lead. Pulling away for a moment, Zhao then leaned forward, pressing his lips to Kasuga's neck. Planting small kisses up and down it, before stopping and sucking lightly on one spot.
“Mmm,” Kasuga's grip tightened on the fabric of Zhao's shirt.
Zhao ran his hand up the back of Kasuga's neck, tangling his fingers lightly in his hair.
“Your hair is so soft,” he said as he leaned back slightly, “Like a fluffy puppy or somethin,”
Kasuga made a noise of disapproval.
“C'mon. Really?” he muttered in annoyance.
“Aw, have I made puppy angry?” Zhao said with a smirk, “I'd say I hope you don't bite, but that would be a lie.”
“O-oh?”
That caught him off guard, but now that he thought of it Zhao did kind of seem the type to like that sort of thing. With a sly smile, Zhao launched himself forward, pushing Kasuga back onto the futon. Kasuga' looked up at Zhao hovering over him, who was was staring at him with an intensity. For a brief second he felt a bit out of his element.
“You seem a little nervous,” Zhao tilted his head to the side.
Shit.
“Do I?” he felt self-conscious now.
“If not nervous, maybe shy?” he raised an eyebrow.
Kasuga was silent for a moment, before clearing his throat.
“Um, lets just say my experience is a bit limited,” Kasuga admitted quietly.
“Oh?” Zhao looked surprised, “Am I going too fast for you?”
“No! You're fine,” there was no way in hell he was going to pass on this, “I just wasn't expecting you to pounce on me like that. And the way you were looking at me was a little… uh…”
Zhao laughed lightly.
“Well, since we're bein honest here tonight, I'll admit I've been thinking about this for a while now,” he slowly brought his hand down Kasuga's chest.
“Have,” his breathing hitched for a moment, “You?”
Kasuga felt a bit flattered by that, having had similar thoughts himself about Zhao.
“Uh-huh,” Zhao smiled, “Right now is like a dream come true.”
He moved his hand further down Kasuga's waist then stopping between his legs, tracing the outline of his cock through his pants with his fingertips. Eyes fluttering, Kasuga gasped quietly.
“Oooh, not bad,” Zhao's voice was low, “Should've guessed you'd be on the bigger side. Be a crime if you weren't, honestly.”
If Kasuga wasn't flushed before he certainly was now. He wasn't expecting that compliment. He wasn't even sure what to say to that. Without a word, Zhao suddenly leaned back a little; patting at his pant's pockets, seemingly confused before looking disappointed.
“The hell am I thinking? Of course we don't have anything to do this right. Ah well. Hope you don't mind just getting your dick sucked tonight,” Zhao turned his attention to Kasuga's belt, unbuckling it quickly, before moving to his fly.
“That's fine,” Kasuga croaked out.
Zhao chuckled.
“Guess this just means we'll just have to sneak off sometime soon and get ourselves a hotel room for an evening. Sound good?”
Kasuga could only nod in response.
“You're so cute, Kasuga-kun,” Zhao said sweetly.
Not taking his eyes off him, Zhao pulled off his rings one by one, letting them drop and scatter on the floor. With the last ring removed, he turned his attention downward and his eyes grew wide.
“Well damn, you're about busting out of your boxer briefs! The anticipation gettin to ya?” he smirked.
He pulled down the waistband of his underwear and took hold of him, slowly stroking his full length.
“Z-zhao…” Kasuga breathed.
“I've barely even done anything yet and you're already calling my name,” he hummed in amusement.
He picked up the pace a bit more and Kasuga's back arched up a bit from the futon. Zhao placed his hand under Kasuga's shirt, gently pushing it up. Lost in his own little world, Kasuga heard the sound of a zipper. Lifting his head a little and glanced down, noticing Zhao was working himself with his free hand and felt a spike in arousal. Panting lightly, Zhao bent down and slowly ran his tongue up the underside of Kasuga's cock, then sucking lightly on the tip before taking him fully into his mouth. Kasuga gasped loudly and placed his hand on Zhao's head, the other twisted up in the sheet. Zhao took his time, steadily bobbing his head, messaging his tongue on the tip every movement. He pulled off briefly to catch his breath.
“Hah… Ichiban,” he whispered desperately before dragging his tongue up his cock and deep-throating him in one fluid motion
Kasuga let out a loud moan and bucked his hips without thinking. Zhao made a small choking noise, but didn't seem to mind, however. Mouth full, Zhao let out a muffled moan and started to bob his head faster. Kasuga was panting heavily now, his fingers gripped in Zhao's hair. He was so close.
“F-fuck! Ah! I'm-!” but he couldn't finish that thought.
His head tipped back in silent moan as he pushed Zhao's head down, orgasm washing over him.
“Holy shit,” he whispered as his fingers loosened from Zhao's hair and his hand fell to the futon.
Zhao pulled off of Kasuga and focused on stroking himself faster, until he finally came with an exasperated breath. Neither of them spoke for a few moments, both lost in the afterglow.
“That… was… fucking amazing,” Kasuga panted out.
“Well thank you,” Zhao said, sounding quite pleased with himself, “Looking forward to next time, though. We'll have some real fun then.”
“Can't wait,” Kasuga's voice cracked a little.
With a quiet laugh, Zhao moved up a little and grabbed a tissue to clean himself off.
'Probably should do that too,' Kasuga reached over and grabbed one.
They took a second to take care of themselves before laying back down on the futon. Zhao laid next to him, head on his shoulder, arm outstretched across his chest. Kasuga put his arm around his shoulders, placing his other hand on Zhao's. They stayed like that for a short time, enjoying the quiet moment.
“So whats the deal?” Zhao asked, finally.
“Hm?”
“Like are we a thing now? Or do you want to wait till everything's over? Or do you not want-” he dropped that thought, “I feel like this more of your call to make.”
Now that they were starting to sober up they had to face reality. Kasuga took a second to think.
“I'm fine with us being together right now,” he pulled him close, “But if things get really crazy we might have to put it on hold for a little while. If that's alright with you?”
“Of course,” his grip an Kasuga's shirt tightened, “If it comes to that, I can wait.”
“Thank you,” he kissed Zhao softly on the forehead.
As they laid there, Kasuga felt himself starting to drift off to sleep. Being able to fall asleep with Zhao next to him like this was such a comforting thought. Now that his body was starting to cool back down a slight chill ran through him. Kasuga rolled his head over to find the nearest blanket. Noticing the other futons, he slowly began to realize something.
“Um, Zhao?”
“Yeah?”
“It's getting late, someone's bound to come back soon, so we should probably…”
“Oh shit!”
Now very much awake, they quickly scrambled to clean up and fully put themselves back together. Everyone would have their two cents to put in if they found out the two of them had been messing around while they were gone. All the nonstop jokes and teasing, they'd never hear the end of it. As Zhao started to put his rings back on, he stopped when he picked one of them up. He stared at it for a moment.
“Here,” Zhao turned, taking Kasuga's hand and placed one of his gold rings into his open palm, “I want you to have this.”
“For real? You sure?”
“Of course I am. And I think the red stone will go well with your suit.”
Kasuga slipped it onto the middle finger on his left hand. It did look rather nice.
“Thank you,” he said looking down at it, “Does it have any kind of special powers?”
Zhao laughed.
“Um,” he thought for a moment, “It ensures the wearer's protection from all types of attacks. Its like having someone there by your side to guard you and keep you safe.”
With a smile, Kasuga leaned forward, kissing him softly.
