My life before you was a mess
jake has been in and out of hospitals all his life. not just because of the occasional high fever but because of his many attempts. "'you're so ungrateful! how many times will youdo this? are you a coward? i might as well end you mysel-" jake did not dare look up at his father. the young male was trying so hard to fight back his tears. his father yelled continuously but he was cut off by a familiar voice. it was the nurse that was always assigned to him. he was the only one who knew why jake was like this. he knew every thought that went through his head. "sir you need to leave now or i will have to get security. you are harassing a patient." jake's father huffed and left the room and that's when jake let his tears fall. "don't cry jakey...it's okay.." sunghoon sand and sat next to the older male. jake cried into sunghoon's shoulder and hiccupped. "why can't i just die hoonie..? no one wants me here anyways!" jake cried and hugged his knees. he didnt realize that his sleeve moved up which revealed his many scars. sunghoon held back his tears and hugged jake again. "i want you here jakey..." he said and rubbed his back as the older cried and cried his heart out till he eventually fell asleep.

jake was packing all his stuff into his bags as tears streamed down his face. he carried them and jumped out of his low window and ran towards sunghoon who was waiting by his car. he helped jake put his bags into the trunk of his car and smiled as the two of them drove off. jake had taken his passport and all his stuff only leaving things that had bad memories behind. "thank you hoonie..for letting me run away with you." jake said and looked down at his hands. he dared not look at his arms. "hey , it's okay jakey. i'd do anything for you. remember, i told you , you can always call me no matter how late it is. i'm just glad you're out of that toxic household. you're safe with me now." sunghoon said and drove to his apartment which was way too far away from jake's house for his parents to be able to do anything to them. jake looked out of the window as sunghoon put jake's favourite song on. "you know how much i love this song don't you." jake chuckled softly as he rolled down the window and smiled as they drove down the highway. sunghoon loved seeing jake like this, happy and smiling. "i love you jake.." sunghoon mumbled softly so that only he would hear it but of course, jake heard him. "i love you too hoonie~" jake said and giggled softly.
the two drove to a field and smiled. "let's stargaze for a while , maybe we can see some consellations? i know you love astronomy." sunghoon chuckled as jake pulled him to an area where the sky was clear. "look hoonie! it's the ursa major!" jake said excitedly and smiled widely. the stars always brought joy to jake's day. "hoonie? would you be mad if i joined the stars in the sky?" jake said out of the blue which took sunghoon by surprise. "i won't be mad. i will be sad though..i love you and i can't bear the thought of losing you." sunghoon said and took the older's hand into his. "i'm always hurting hoonie..but for you..i'll fight." jake said and kissed the taller male softly. "be my boyfriend hoonie..?" jake said as a blush started growing on his face. sunghoon started blushing lightly as he nodded. "yes..i'll be your boyfriend jakey." sunghoon said and hugged the younger. "we should head back to my place.."sunghoon said as they made their way back to sunghoon's car and drove to his place.
I was fine to die , I’m a loser in this game
heavy rain was pouring as jake looked down at the cityscape beneath him. "please jake...get down from there.." sunghoon begged as he slowly made his way to jake who was standing by the ledge of sunghoon's balcony. this was the first time he hated living on the highest floor of his apartment complex. " i don't wanna be hurting anymore.." jake cried out and fell to his knees as sunghoon pulled the latter closer to him and rubbed his back. "i'm here for you..okay?" sunghoon cupped jake's cheeks and pulled him inside. "let's get inside.." sunghoon said and brought jake back into the house. he helped the older with his shower and they were now in bed cuddling. "i'm sorry you have to deal with me hoonie.." jake said and looked directly into his eyes. "don't apologize jakey...it's okay.." sunghoon played with the older's hair as they both drifted into their dreamlands.
the next day when the two woke up, sunghoon decided to take jake to a theme park, he knew the younger loved theme parks so for their first date as lovers, he took him to one. "hoonie look here!" jake said as he took a picture of sunghoon with the polaroid camera he had brought with him. they spent nearly all day there and jake had taken a ton of pictures of them together. "i'm gonna put all of these into a scrapbook!" jake said as the two of them watched the fireworks from the roof of sunghoon's car. "you make me so happy yknow hoonie?" jake sand and layed his head on sunghoon's shoulder and hugged the penguin plushie the younger won for him. "i do.?" sunghoon asked and turned his head to look at the younger. jake nodded and pecked the younger's lips. "let's go home..i'm tired.."jake said as they both got into the car and made their way back home.
I’m full of problems, love sick
"sunghoon can i steal your hoodie pleaseee!" jake whined and pouted at sunghoon who was busy working. "go ahead sweetie i don't mind" jake giggled and happily took his favourite hoodie of sunghoon's when he heard his phone start going wild. he was getting calls and messages from his dad. he stared at the messages and bit his lip. the messages were harsh and they hurt, a lot. he sighed and placed his phone down before going to sunghoon and watched the younger work. "hoodie what's for dinner?" jake asked. "huh? on , you're favourite! i'm gonna head to the store to buy the ingredients i need okay? i love you baby." sunghoon said and kissed jake's forehead , cheeks and lips which caused the shorter male to giggle slightly...
little did sunghoon know that would be the last he saw jake smiling..
At the tips of my feet. Everything turned pitch black

"jake! i'm home! " sunghoon said as he entered his apartment. he was gone for only about 30 minutes. he looked in the room , game area but couldn't find him anywhere. he knocked on the bathroom door and spoke, "jakey? you in there?" he could hear the water running. "im coming in okay?" he said and pushed the door open. he screamed and dropped to his knees from what he saw in front of him. there was jake, dead, blood covering his arm and wrist. he picked jake's body up and shook it. "j-jakey..? p-please wake up..." sunghoon begged as tears streamed down his eyes,a few falling onto jake's face. regret and guilt crawled up his back. if only i brought him with me...if only i didn't leave and just requested for it to be delivered...if only...
sunghoon called for an ambulance and watched as they took the love of his life away. the police questioned him but his mind was blank, empty. he went back into the house and fell to his knees, bursting into tears. he walked into his room where he found a book with a letter stuck in between two pages. he flipped through the scrapbook as more tears came poring out of his eyes. it was a scrapbook full of pictures of them two , him and jake. he wiped his tears away as he opened the letter.

i'm sorry i decided to do this but i was hurting too much. my
dad tried to take me back by harassing me and he threathed
me. everything was just built up in my chest and i broke.
please don't be too sad over me okay? i'll always be by your
side even if i'm now a star in the sky. i'll love you forever

next competition okay? stay strong for me hoonie..

tears were now continuously flowing out of sunghoon's eyes. he looked out of the window and saw a star, it was the brightest one among all. "i love you jake...i'm sorry.."
sunghoon gripped the railing of his balcony and closed his eyes. "i'll see you soon jake..." but before he could do anything, he heard someone burst into his apartment. he knew it definitely would be one of his friends
“sunghoon! jake hyung is alive! he survived” he heard a voice yell which caused him to get off the balcony and towards the voice. “you’re not lying right..? h-he’s really still here..?” sunghoon stuttered out. riki nodded and hugged the older male. “let’s go see how he’s doing okay?” the youngest said and pulled sunghoon with him towards his bike and quickly cycled to the hospital he was sent to.
