Chapter Text
“Who’s there?!” Diluc asked almost in a growl.
His mind and body were still a little bit groggy from sleep but that won’t stop him from going on defense. Years of training have completely made him sensitive to his surroundings even when he’s asleep. Besides, who would even dare to approach him in the middle of the night?
Just as he was about to go for an attack, a familiar voice registered into his ears. “Wow, sharp as ever ‘Luc.” Kaeya teased with an amused smile on his face.
Diluc let out a sigh of relief and relaxed his body. “Archons, Kae. I was just about to attack you! What are you even doing in my room!?”
Kaeya just chuckled and walked closer towards him. “I know Master Crepus has a whole day planned for you for your birthday, I figured…” his visible eye shifted away from his gaze. It was like, Kaeya was embarrassed to say the last part.
It was then Diluc realized that Kaeya was wearing a robe instead of his usual night attire. This was unusual given that Kaeya only wears a robe when he’s about to take a bath. He wanted to ask him why he was wearing it but all of his thoughts went blank when Kaeya disrobed himself in front of him.
Diluc’s eyes and mouth grew wide open in disbelief and all the last remnants of sleep completely left his body.
He can’t believe it.
Kaeya, his closest and dearest person ever, was now bare in front of him. The robe completely discarded in the floor, it was not like he cared about it anyway. After all, his eyes were glued at Kaeya’s naked figure. There was only a few scars and blemishes around his body as opposed to Diluc who has numerous scars all over, his slightly muscled body, especially his chest and thighs, glistened under the moonlight. Diluc closed his mouth and gulped. He can’t believe that his mouth just watered by just staring at him.
Kaeya must have felt Diluc’s heavy gaze on him and squirmed a bit. His face started to reddened before staring back at him, “—I’ll give my present to you early.”
Wait, what? Did he just heard it right? Did Kaeya just… Oh archons, this was starting to be his favorite birthday yet.
“Kae…” Diluc breathe hitched. His eyes can’t leave Kaeya’s naked figure and he was certain his hard-on was completely visible for the other to see. It was not like he was trying to even hide it. Sure, they had touched each other before but they never go past anything that would make the other one uncomfortable, and besides… “I thought we promised to have our first time when we’re both adults.”
Kaeya’s lips curled and wrapped his arms around Diluc’s neck as he leaned close and whispered in his ear, “I know but I want to give you something special for becoming a man.”
Diluc suppressed his voice. He wanted to scream out of joy and the way Kaeya’s voice sound so seductive and melodic in his ears made Diluc’s pants grow a little bit tighter. He was now conflicted about whether or not he should accept Kaeya’s offer. Diluc truly loves Kaeya, he already did promise a future together but they also promised to have their first time when they’re both of age.
“Well?” Kaeya cocked his head and stared deeply into Diluc’s eyes.
It was so difficult to think of anything else when Kaeya’s beautiful starry eye stare so intensely at him. Diluc gulped and his hands shakingly made their way around Kaeya’s waist as he pulled him close.
It won’t hurt anyone right?
Plus, Kaeya consented and he knew, Kaeya would respect his decision if he wanted to stop. Diluc tried to rationalize everything inside his mind yet his hands already made their way to carry Kaeya in his arms.
They share a deep and passionate kiss.
It was something Diluc hadn’t felt before. His heart was beating fast, he was starting to feel nervous but at the same time, everything felt so familiar. Having Kaeya’s lips pressed against his, and their bodies close to each other.
They made their way to his bed and he gently plopped Kaeya in the middle.
“So I guess we’re doing this?” Kaeya asked, his face flushed, and chuckled nervously.
Of course he would be nervous as well. This will be their first time after all.
Diluc as compensation, ran his hand around his cheek and caressed his face for reassurance. “yeah… I guess…”
This time, Kaeya ran his hands all over Diluc’s body. Marveling at how chiseled and muscled he is underneath all those layers of clothes. Diluc found the action endearing and caught one of his hands and place them around his face, “You’re so beautiful...” he whispered and then placed a small kiss on his palms.
They moved slowly, Diluc ensuring that he won’t do something harsh and hurt Kaeya in the process no matter how many times Kaeya have to tell him that he came prepared. Diluc didn’t want to take a risk. He wanted to make this experience amazing and beautiful for both of them and not for him alone.
When he deemed Kaeya to be prepared enough, Diluc removed his oil-slicked fingers and opened Kaeya’s legs further, “Are you ready?” he asked in a hushed and low tone.
Kaeya nodded his face already as red as Diluc’s hair.
As Diluc slowly penetrated him, Kaeya clung to him as his life depended on it. Diluc didn’t even care about the scratches Kaeya would leave, if it would help elevate any pain, then he wouldn’t mind.
Holy archons, Kaeya felt amazing. He was so warm, so tight and so welcoming that Diluc must have forgotten to breathe. “Are you alright?” he mumbled when he felt every inch of himself fully sheathed inside of Kaeya.
Kaeya, who was breathing heavily just nodded.
“It’s alright, if I’m too much for you to handle, I can wait until you fully adjusted. We don’t have to hurry.” Diluc insisted, he could see tears at the corner of Kaeya’s visible eye. Did he hurt him or did he felt as good as Diluc’s feeling?
“But what about your—“
As Kaeya’s about to protest, Diluc captured his lips, “Don’t worry…” and they both melted in the act. They took their time, savoring each moment. From the way their lips press against each other, the way their skin touch against each other, each thrust Diluc made and the moans Kaeya elicited.
Everything was too good, too perfect that at the back of Diluc’s mind, he wondered if something bad will come out of this but it was easily overshadowed by the pleasure he felt and was never thought of again.
When they both reach their climax, Kaeya coming first and then Diluc. He hitched his breathe and unloaded all of his seed inside of Kaeya. It felt so great, Kaeya felt amazing.
Kaeya was amazing.
He trailed kisses around his skin, Kaeya cupped Diluc’s face, kissed him for the last time as he whispers, “I’ve always loved it when you gently touch me like this.”
Diluc smiled and returned the kiss, “I can be gentle as much as you want.” He promised and embraced Kaeya a little bit too tight.
“Happy birthday Diluc.” Kaeya greeted tenderly.
As Diluc looked at the clock, it was a few minutes past midnight already. With a small laugh, he placed another kiss on Kaeya’s temples before replying, “Thank you, you’ve given me the best gift I could ever ask for.”
“Don’t be silly.” Kaeya easily dismissed his statement with a light pat on his shoulders. They moved a little bit to find the best way to enjoy their body heat and post-orgasm bliss. “Don’t forget that you still have an entire day of agenda with Master Crepus”
“True, but I’m sure my dad just wants to talk about some things. I wish… we could have spent our time like this more often.” He hoped. It was not like he didn’t want to spend his entire birthday with his father but the fact that Kaeya was not invited just rubbed him the wrong way.
True, Kaeya was not fully adopted in the family and won’t be named as an heir like him but it would have been great if his father at least invited Kaeya for one of their agenda today.
Well, they still have his evening party but still…
Sensing Diluc’s discomfort, Kaeya tucked a few stray strands of his hair behind his ear and replied, “Maybe in the future.”
“I hope so too,” Diluc responded and held Kaeya closer to himself.
Diluc wakes up with a groan. His vision is still a little blurry and his feeling a little heavy.
He blinks a few more times to fully wake himself. He’s met with the cold stone he’s lying down, oh that’s right, he was supposed to be on his way to Inazuma but the port closed themselves for the incoming storm. With nowhere else to go, Diluc settled in the cove nearby to tend his injuries, he must have fallen asleep soon after. He looks at his side and realize that it is now raining heavily.
The sound of heavy rain pouring accompanied with lightning and thunder in the background would have made him focus on his current predicament yet… all he could think of is about that dream.
He slowly sits up right, and stare at the dark grey sky.
Why did he even remember such thing? It was all in the past. A past he sorely wants to erase and forget.
That traitor… how dare he…he growls internally and the images of their shared night replays itself in loop. That no matter how much Diluc wants it to stop, it won’t.
Why?
He wants to burn it, to burn every piece of memory he has with Kaeya into ashes. He hates him, he really does with all his heart that he even felt a little betrayed that his subconscious would even dreamt of Kaeya—especially that night before everything…
No.
Diluc must not think of it anymore.
Oh how naïve and foolish he was back then.
If he could have gone back in time, he would have smacked his younger self for being so blind. To fall such a tactic from someone as two-faced as Kaeya, Diluc can’t believe he fell to his charms. Can’t believe that he had fallen in love and even evoked promises that sounded like a marriage proposal to him.
It makes his stomach churn in disgust.
If he had known what Kaeya truly was, then he wouldn’t have gotten his heart and sanity broken like it is right now. He clenches on his chest, it hurts, it really does and Diluc’s certain the pain he’s feeling is not from the injuries he sustained from the fatuis he massacred but rather from the painful memory of the past.
He hates him.
He hates how Kaeya easily threw everything they had and broke his trust.
How dare he?
Why did he even do it?
Why did he…
“Forgive me Diluc…”
Diluc clenches his fist out of anger. If Kaeya was so keen in telling him the truth, then why did he ask for his forgiveness? No, scratch that, why didn’t Diluc kill him then? Could it be there’s still some lingering feelings?
Perhaps.
Because Diluc’s certain that he could have easily killed Kaeya back then. Even when he was blessed with his Vision then, Kaeya still has no idea how to use them while Diluc is already proficient at using his. So why?
He could have easily put the claymore in Kaeya’s neck but instead, he let him live.
Diluc clenches his fists out of frustration. Because of his own emotions, he let a traitor live and for what? For a silly hope that everything Kaeya said is not real? That he just said it to let Diluc express his frustration? That seems to farfetched and yet, he badly wants to believe it because no matter how much Diluc wants to hate Kaeya, he still loves him. So badly.
That’s why he needs to burn all of it, to burn all of his past regrets and mistakes along with the injustices and evil of the world but most of all, burn his love towards Kaeya.
At the outskirts of Mondstadt, Kaeya sobs loudly as he holds the last piece of miracle Diluc has given him.
