Chapter 1: Marry Me Buck!

Chapter Text

Taylor Kelly, Buck's reporter girlfriend with light orange hair, a smile with white, pearly teeth, and always wearing something ready for the camera.
She'd been eagerly awaiting a proposal from Buck for weeks but it hadn't came. No matter how many fancy restaurant dates, pointing out fancy engagement rings, or liked wedding pictures on instagram.
"Eddie." She thought as she scrolled to his name on her contacts. Buck's closest friend, Taylor clicked on the name and began to type a lenghty message. Closing with "Talk to Buck please, hint heavily that he should propose, please. With all sincerity, Taylor."

Eddie lay on the 118 couch, his legs propped on Buck's thighs, who sat at the other end of the couch playing an intense game of flappy bird. A message chimes through on his phone from Buck's girlfriend.
When he reads it he can't help but feel an unknown feeling tie his stomach into a tight knot. Getting married? Something told him he didn't want Buck to marry her. He told himself it was intuition of a bad couple but something else bugged him too.
Eddie only noticed he was making a grimaced, half disgusted face when he felt Buck staring at him.
"What's that face?" Buck held back a laugh. "Oh I just got a strange text... from Christopher." Eddie lied, he felt bad for doing it immediatly. Eddie clicked of 'Bucks Gf' and onto 'Christopher' and scrolled up until he found a funny message. He passed it to Buck who lit up with a massive smile. Guilt.
"Alright shifts over boys." Bobby called out and they all left the 118.
When Buck arrived home he saw Taylor, browsing idily through her phone at wedding rings. "Hey you! Did Eddie talk you about anything today?" She smiled showing buck her straight teeth. "That's a weird question?" Buck gave her a confused look before giving her a quick kiss. "Oh nothing." Taylor smiled again, but when Buck turned around it turned into a upset frown.  "Alright love you, i'm going to bed, long day." Buck yawned going up the stairs to his bed.
Taylor reopened her contact to Eddie. 'Eddie, move fast my wedding dress i've picked out is going to be finished being tailored soon.'
When Eddie opened it he felt a flush of anger churned with jealousy. 'Okay, how long?' He texted back, how long did he have to put this off for? '2 weeks.' Taylor sent back. 'I'll hint at him for the week, Tuesday next week i'll tell him full on?' Eddie sent back relunctantly. No he wont. Taylor entered a smily face and a large thumbs up.
Eddie bit his lip and ran a frustrated hand through his chocolate hair. "How am I going to get through this one buddy?" He said to Christopher who lay asleep in his bed. Eddie gave Christopher a kiss on the forehead before heading to bed himself.

The next week Eddie and Buck talked the through the week like usual, not even a mention of marriage. Until Tuesday rolled around and Eddie found himself wanting more than anything to come down with a horrible illness and not go to work.
But he was fit and well by the time his shift started. And the first person he ran into was Buck, in the lockers, unsuccessfully shoving his bag into his locker.
Eddie laughed a little at his struggle and earned a playfull scowl from Buck. "Let me help you." Eddie sighed, he got behind Buck and placed his hand on Bucks' and led it up to put the bag vertically in the locker instead of squishing it horizontally. When he closed the locker the reality began to settle.
Eddie stood with his crotch to Buck's back, his hands laying comftorbly on top of Bucks'. Butterflies swarmed around in Eddies stomach, and his heart fell out of rhythm and began to beat faster. Buck held his breath and his cheeks flushed red, he didn't want this moment to end and neither did Eddie. But it wasn't their choice as the emergancy bell rang and Buck was the first to move, running off to the truck. Eddie clenched his fists and sighed heavily in embarresment and followed slowly after.
In the truck the two where silent, Buck couldn't think of anything beside the sweet feeling of Eddie against him and his breath, warm, agaisnt his neck. He wished Eddie had stopped him and kissed him. Eddie's mind rushed, hoping so much that he didn't stuff up his relationship with Buck.

Part 2 soon.
