Work Text:
5 days.
5 days since he had heard her voice.
5 days since he had seen her face.
5 days since she had been in his arms.
I can taste it, my hearts breakin’, please don’t say
That you know when you know.
Silent tears trickled down his face, his azure blue eyes hidden behind his glasses stung. The red pulsating around his eyes, he wasn’t a pretty crier, he knew that. But he didn’t care.
But she was.
The countless nights he held her in his arms, consoling her after every nightmare, every heartbreak. He would wipe away the tears prickling at her eyes, saying sweet nothings into her ear, complimenting her, holding her close to his chest until she drifted off into a sweet dream.
She was his dream.
I can’t take it, I’m impatient, tell me, baby
Now I know, you should go.
7 days.
7 days since he had taken her on a picnic date.
7 days since she had smothered him with kisses.
7 days since she told him “I love you.”
I know I’ll fall in love with you, baby
And that’s not what I wanna do.
“‘Toru! Stop that!”
Her giggles filled the room, her body thrashing from side to side as he tickled her stomach mercilessly.
“You know I can’t stop until you tell me ‘I love you’~!”
“Okay! Okay! Satoru, I love you! Now stop this madness!”
She wailed, lightly hitting her boyfriend’s muscular body hovering above her.
“If you insist, (N/n)!”
Pure joy filled his eyes as he stared down at her, releasing her warmth from under him, a smile etched on his handsome face.
The male was shocked as his girlfriend tackled him into a hug, making him lose balance as he fell on his back. Her head nuzzled into his neck, her nostrils filling with his cherry blossom scent.
“I love you, ‘Toru, please never leave me.”
I hope you won’t ever lie to me
And if you do, I know I won’t be your cry baby.
His body shuddered, matching his rapid intake of air. Small grunts came from his mouth as his whole body wept, snot running down his milky, white skin.
He ran a hand through his spotless white hair, he promised her he wouldn’t cry.
His slender fingers seized the edge of the wooden table with such strength that his knuckles turned a blinding white.
I think I worry a lot
I need to take it easy.
5 months.
5 months since they knew.
5 months since her first “I love you.”
5 months since his first heartbreak.
I got this anxious feeling.
“It’ll be okay, Satoru! Just promise me you won’t cry?”
She smiled at him, sat up in the hospital bed and extended out her pinky finger.
“I promise.”
But it goes away for a minute
When I’m with you breathing.
Who knew she would be the one leaving him.
