It was autumn once again, meaning I have to say bye bye to the summer vacation and get ready for my final year at the prestigious JJK University. I was already so done with it, just the thought of going back for another year was making me sigh in exasperation. But again, it's the last one, so I just gotta suck it up a little bit more.
As I arrive at the uni, with the new timetable and the new classes in my hand, I hear someone call to me.
???: "Ayo bestie!"
I look up and am greeted by a very cheery Nobara, coming rushing at me with her arms wide open, ready to hug the living shit outta me.
Nobara:" girl you won't belive how freaking cool the last festival was. Wish you were there"
Y/N:"Haha myeah sorry i was kinda busy breaking up with that piece of shit",i say fake laughing.
Nobara:"About damn time! Ugh i never liked Suguru anyway pfsh", she rolls her eyes at the thought of my stupid ex. "Well anyway I have tea to spill, so buckle up cause this first class I'll need your full attention " she instantly changes the subject as to not make me feel bad about my ex, which i appreciate greatly, and starts giggling like a high school girl. To which I just laughed excitedly along.
Y/N:"Bet. Can't wait to hear how much fun you and Maki had", I say teasingly while winking at her. We both started laughing wholeheartedly while heading to our first class, being happy to see eachother after so long.
We arrived to the class which had a big amphitheater. Everyone was in a good mood since we all got reunited with our friends.
Nobara:"okay i really didn't miss these classrooms.." she sighs annoyed at the sight. " let's go sit up there so we can chat without the teacher getting pissed at us", I couldn't agree more. Nobara already started climbing the stairs, but before I could follow behind her, a very handsome blonde guy catches my eye which makes me stop dead in my tracks. All I can think of is just how is it possible for someone to be that attractive. The guy seems a bit older tho, looks more like a man, a very hot and young man. He is very fit too, even with those clothes on you can just tell that he has a body to die for. He was leaning on his back against the wall next to the gigantic blackboard looking down in his phone, the perfect opportunity to stare without feeling like a creep, well not that much. After a while, as if he felt my eyes on him, he rises his head and looks at me, kinda confused, a face that was like 'um can i help you? Why you staring? Are your eyes broken?' I was so taken aback and embarrassed for staring so long, I just instantly turned back around and rushed up the stairs as fast as I could.
Nobara:"gurl you were frozen for so long i almost called 911. You good?" She asks confused.
Y/N:"hah, oh yeah totally....okay no. You see that guy over there?!" I whisper-yell at her and point at the guy that's still glued to his phone screen as subtle as i can, hyperventilating and out of breath from running up the stairs "he's like so perfect like wtf bestie?!".
Nobara:"uuu we got a new hottie this year. Go get him tiger. Bet he's like an exchange student or something. You can pull the ol' let me show around the campus card" she teases me, but little does she know I'm actually considering to do that. It would be a nice ice breaker and I might also get to know him a little bit.
Y/N:"you know what? i might",I laugh at how stupid I sound right now but before I could talk about the new guy the class has started. Everyone had already taken their seats except the blonde guy. I chuckle thinking it was kinda cute that he didn't even realize that the class is about to start and the professor could enter any minute. But that smile of mine turned into a dropping jaw as I watch him put away his phone, take out his glasses placing them on the bridge of his nose and going to stand behind the professor's desk. NO.FREAKING.WAY.
Professor:"Good morning class. I am professor Kento Nanami, and I'll be teaching you finances this year"
My jaw was still on the floor. Then I rapidly look at Nobara and she has the same expression. We both look at eachother and without thinking we both let out a too loud "WTF?!" In unison, which makes the room go silent. Now we got the attention of not only the whole class but also the hot professor. I instantly slap a hand over my mouth, turning red from the embarrassment. I look at him horrified and could swear that I just happened to catch a smirk on his face, that disappeared as fast as it appeared.
Professor Nanami:"well I must say that was an unexpected reaction", he chuckles slightly, lifting up the mood making the others laugh a bit, while I was still dying inside. "You can call me Professor Nanami for the time being, I do hope we can get along and if there are any ambiguities, please do not hesitate to come to me. Are there any questions?", he then continues.
Of course one of the bimbos, Misa Amane, had to raise her hand and ask a stupid ass question.
Misa:"Are you a vampire? Because you look so young. And dare I say handsome ", she says shamelessly. But honestly I felt the same. And now I was very annoyed that every girl was now crushing over him. Like I saw him first lmao. Not that it mattered. Well...not anymore.
Professor Nanami just chuckled slightly "No, I'm afraid not. This is my second year teaching but my first at the JJK University, so maybe that'll explain why I look younger. Um..any other questions...maybe about the subject?" He was getting a bit annoyed, it was obvious he got these questions all the time, but he remained very professional. No one was saying anything, he was scanning the class, and his eyes landed on me. How amazing.
Professor Nanami:"Splendid. Well if there aren't any more questions i would really love for you to quickly introduce yourselves so i can learn your names and faces. How about you start miss... ?" He was still looking at me. But stupid me was too captivated by his deep brown eyes that I forgot to speak for a sec.
Y/N:"Y/L. My name is Y/N Y/L, I'm 24 and I can't wait to leave this place" I try to ease the atmosphere and it seemed to work since people started laughing and agreeing with my comment.
Professor Nanami:"Pleasure to meet you Y/N". Ugh my name rolls so nice off his tongue "I must say it would be a shame to see you leave already. Hopefully you'll stick around a little bit more ", at that I just put on a professional smile but inside I was a total mess. He indirectly told me not to go just yet. Or am I just reading in-between the lines? I don't quite know just yet but the way he said it made my insides turn. Nobara playfully slaps my arm getting me out of my trance and whispers at me.
Nobara:"My lord!! Was he flirting with you just now??" She couldn't stop giggling but I just brushed it off. I didn't want any false hope, but was secretly hoping it was for real and not just me imagining things for the 9 millionth time.
After everyone introduced themselves, professor Nanami explained his subject for a bit and what we are going to cover this semester and after that we were free to go. Everyone was quick to leave, the two of us took a bit longer since we were so high in the amphitheater. Nanami was packing his notes and laptop as we reached the bottom. Nobara already exited the classroom and I just stole one more look at the handsome and unreachable blonde man.
Y/N:"Have a nice day, professor", I say giving him a lil smile trying to be polite and make him feel welcome. His eyes instantly rise to meet mine and smiles slightly, and I'd be lying if i said it didn't make me melt for a bit.
Professor Nanami:"Thank you. You too have a great day, Y/N", I nod, and was almost out of the room but I stop in my tracks when I hear him speak again "and please next time don't scream profanities during my class. It is very distracting".
I felt embarrassed once again, remembering how stupid that was of me. I turn around hastily and go to his desk, standing in front of him with worried eyes, hands slapped together feeling really bad for being a nuisance.
Y/N:"Professor Nanami, please forgive me, I did not mean to interrupt you, I just um..I was surprised about something and I-..." he looks at me kinda amused and I literally forgot what I even went up there to apologize for. "It..it won't happen again. I promise ". He straight up started laughing wholeheartedly at that. I just stood there confused, arching an eyebrow.
Professor Nanami:"ah forgive me. But your reaction was hilarious. I really struggled to contain myself back there. I know you weren't expecting me to be teaching, but you need to try and be more subtle when you are surprised", he just smirked at me knowing damn well I find him attractive. In that moment I wanted the earth to just swallow me and spare my suffering.
Y/N:"I-...", I clear my throat and say with more confidence,"as i said before. It won't happen again, SIR." I say in a cold tone, emphasizing on the word "sir". He immediately pretends to be shot in the heart, placing one hand on his heart, acting hurt and all that.
Professor Nanami:"Ouch...now that hurt", he says teasingly.
Y/N:"It better", I chuckle and storm out of the classroom, but not before hearing him scream "I'M NOT THAT OLD!", I just smiled without thinking, dashing outside in need of air, still blushing like crazy. What was that conversation?? He's a professor! I can't talk like that to him! My god this is bad ...he might fail me on purpose now..
Nobara:"bestie tf took you so long to come out? Did you end up making out with him or what?", she laughs.
Y/N:"no...but I think I might be failing this class..." I sigh worried, not just because of the conversation we just had, but also because I won't be able to concentrate on the subject with him around. This is gonna be hell...
