Narda was on her nightly patrolling when she saw it. It's just a blur of red and blue and it's hurtling rapidly towards a vacant lot on the outskirts of the city. She hurriedly flew towards it to investigate.
She saw the large crater first. Then the seemingly lifeless form of a woman in the middle. She'd think her dead if not for the pained groan the woman let out.
The EMT in her kicked in and she quickly ran to the woman's side.
"Miss? Can you hear me?"
She's answered by another groan and a small nod. Narda quietly disagrees because no human would survive a 50-foot fall. She checked the woman again. Except from dust and dirt, her face is unharmed. She proceeded to the woman's body, and that's when she saw the iconic suit and her crest. She'd recognized it anywhere.
"Oh my god! You're Supergirl!" Narda couldn't help the excitement running through her. This woman was one of her heroes.
"Uh, hi. Where am I? " Supergirl broke Narda's internal gushing as she remembered their current situation.
"Oh, sorry. You're in the Philippines. I was just patrolling the city and I saw you falling. Are you okay?" Narda was surprised she got through that sentence without making a fool of herself. She still can't believe what's happening.
"Yes. I'll be fine. I just need a few hours to get my energy back." Supergirl sat up and began dusting herself.
"Oh, okay. Is there anything I can do to help?" offered Narda.
"Well, I- uh... need to eat. Like a lot of food." Supergirl answered sheepishly.
Narda smiled as she thought of one specific person who could definitely help with that. Since Supergirl can't fly, she offered to fly her there.
"I'm Narda, by the way." she introduced as they flew through the city.
"Is that your superhero name or your real name?"
"My real name."
"Well then, I'm Kara."
-------
They landed in a familiar balcony of an apartment that Narda's been on more than a hundred times. Which by now, also feels like a second home.
"Regina? Are you here?" Narda called around the apartment.
The place was dimly lit. Narda briefly thought that maybe Regina was still in her office but she was proven wrong when the bathroom door opened and she heard her.
"Narda, I swear to God, if you're here to ask me to sew your wounds again, I will stab you myself. Oh- uh, hi." Regina's tirade was cut the moment her eyes landed on the other woman.
Narda quietly snickered as she saw her friend who rarely gets caught off guard got tongue tied. "Regina, this is-"
"Supergirl. I know who she is." Regina confidently said as she got over her shock.
"Right. Supergirl, this is Regina. She's uh... my friend." Narda saw the amusement and the raised eyebrow of the other superhero but she ignored it.
"Nice to meet you, Regina. You can just call me Kara, by the way." Kara smiled and offered her hand as she introduced herself.
"Hi, Kara. Why are you here?"
Narda ended up explaining everything to Regina. She also told her about Kara needing food, which was the main reason they're at the apartment.
"Okay. But why bring her here?" Regina asked, still visibly confused.
"Um... well honestly, you're the only rich person I know who could feed her. I also thought it would be less questions that way." explained Narda. What she didn't say was that Regina is always her first thought when she needs help. Thankfully, nobody in this room can read minds. "Also, if I bring her home, can you imagine the questions and gossiping I'd get from my neighbors? I'd be the talk of the town." she jokingly continued.
"Fine. I'll order the food." Regina sighed, clearly resigned to the fact that she could never say 'no' to anything Narda asks.
And the answering grin Narda gives when she says yes is always worth it.
"Thanks, Regina. You're the best."
"Regina, can I use your bathroom?" Kara asked.
"Sure, it's the first door on your left."
"Thanks." Kara left to clean up herself.
When the hero disappeared around a corner, Narda let out a quiet scream and started bouncing up and down. "Holy shit, Regina!!! It's Supergirl!!!"
Regina only rolled her eyes at her. "Would you like to follow her to the bathroom, Narda?"
"No! I feel like I'm dreaming right now. And if it is, don't wake me up."
"So you're saying your dreams usually involves you ruining my night?" asked the taller woman.
"Ugh, you know what I mean. It's just, this is so surreal. I have a poster of her in my bedroom." the hero revealed.
"TMI, Narda." Regina scoffed. She looks visibly annoyed now at Narda's gushing. "Here." she handed a paper towel at the other woman. Narda was confused but still accepted it.
"For your drooling." Regina said before disappearing into the kitchen to order the food.
"No, I wasn't." the hero indignantly replied but she still touched the corners of her mouth just to be sure.
Narda quickly put the paper towel back when she heard Kara coming back. Kara's face is clean and she looked every bit of the majestic superhero that she is. Narda could feel her ten-year old self die and be brought back to life in that one perfect moment. When the moment passed, she directed Kara to the living room so they could sit and wait for the food there.
"Is it really okay for me to be here? I'd hate to intrude on your friend."
"Absolutely. I think Regina just acts annoyed out of habit. She doesn't like it when her plans change. But I've disrupted a lot of her plans now and it's become our thing."
"That's interesting." Kara responded with a knowing look.
"Oh, don't I know it? It'll happen when it happens, I guess." Narda grinned with the same knowing look on her face.
Kara only chuckled at that. "So, Regina's a friend who threatens to stab you themselves if you show up bloodied and bruised but still stitches up your wounds anyway. Yep, I had that friend too. She's my wife now." she concluded with the biggest smile on her face. She looks happily in love.
Narda could only beam at her as the hero's contagious happiness came in waves.
"Anyway, can I get you anything? Water, juice, wine?" Narda offered.
"Water is good. Thanks."
Narda briefly left to get her guest a glass of water. She came back to Kara just finishing a call.
"So...nice costume." Kara mused when she accepted the glass.
"Right. Let me just change real quick." Narda blushed. She totally forgot that she's practically half naked in front of her hero.
She ran to the bathroom to spit out the stone. Her costume turned into her faded shirt and a sleep short. She doesn't think coming out in what's basically her pajamas is better than her costume. So she opened a drawer of her things. Like she said, she'd done this many times before to earn herself a drawer in Regina's bathroom. She took a neatly folded jogger pants and the university hoodie she begged the other woman if she can have it. She quickly changed into it. When she came back out, Regina's on the opposite side of the couch passionately discussing something with the superhero.
The two looked up when she reached the living room.
"That's my hoodie."
"Nope. You gave it to me. It's mine now."
"It has my name on the back."
"So?" Narda challenged but was only met with a huff from the other woman. "What were you guys talking about anyway?"
"Your costume actually."
"What about it?"
"It's too revealing. And Kara thinks so too."
Kara quickly shook her head as she tries to explain, "Oh, no. I just thought it seems quite uncomfortable. I mean, don't you feel cold all the time?"
"That's what I keep telling her. I mean, I know she looks gorgeous in it. And her body is perfect, but there's too much unprotected areas of her body that these criminals can easily get to."
Narda blushed at Regina's rant. She doesn't even think the other woman was aware that she's basically complimenting Narda. Kara's smirk was the only proof she has that she didn't imagine the entire thing.
"I literally can't do anything about it." she countered when her beating heart slowed down enough.
"Of course, you can. You can do whatever you want."
"Well, you could make her another suit." Kara helpfully suggested. "I mean, you've clearly gave it a lot of thoughts. That's actually what my wife did. She made this suit. It's pretty great." She grins proudly and pushed a button on her chest. The suit she was wearing slowly dissipated and left her in a shirt and work pants.
"Holy shit! That was absolutely cool." The awe on Narda's face can only be comparable to someone who saw a mythical being coming to life.
"That's impressive. I've never thought of designing a suit before. Buy maybe, I will." Regina said. Her face falling deeper in thought as seconds go by.
"Oh, no. What have you done, Kara?"
Their discussion was interrupted by the buzzing of the intercom.
"That must be the food."
"Oh, good. I'm starving.
"When are you not?"
"Why are you so mean to me?"
In a short time, the food was spread over the huge coffee table. The foods was basically what you'd see in a typical Filipino feast and could feed a family, their relatives, and their uninvited guests who always comes along.
"Wow! It smells delicious." Kara excitedly comments.
The young superhero grinned, "Yeah, wait till you taste it. Dig in."
Between Kara and Narda, the food was wiped clean in no time. Regina was alternating at feeling fond and being disgusted at how fast the food was inhaled.
"That was so good. Oh Rao, I am so full. Which I rarely am. Thank you." Kara said, appreciatively.
"You're welcome." Regina smiled at their guest and asked if they'd both like a glass of wine. The two nodded their ascent.
"Is Regina, the only person who knows about your super-powered alter ego?" Kara asked Narda.
"No. My family knows about it. I got my powers from my mother, who was the superhero before me, and she got it from her mother and so on. The stone gets passed down from mother to daughter." explained Narda.
"The stone. Where did it come from?"
Narda took the stone from her pockets and showed it to Kara. "Here. It's from a planet called Marte. That's where my mother came from actually. She was a refugee here on Earth. Then she became a superhero because she can't bare standing by when she has ability to help."
"You're mom sounds amazing."
"Yeah, she was. She got killed in battle against an enemy planet who followed her here." It happened a while ago but Narda still gets a little emotional whenever she talks about her mother.
"Oh my god, that's terrible. I am so sorry." Kara looks genuine in her sympathies. She remembered reading from a magazine that Kara lost her entire planet when she was young.
"Thanks. And now, I'm doing my part. Well, I mean, I have no idea what I'm doing half the time but-"
"She's a natural and she's amazing at it." Regina finished her sentence for her. A look of combined fondness and pride directed at her. She blushed for the third time that night. When she reached them, she handed them both an empty glass.
"I don't doubt it." Kara smiled as she tipped her glass towards Regina so she could pour wine on it. "Thanks."
They finished the bottle while sharing battle stories. It was almost midnight when Kara accidentally blew through her wine glass and it immediately frosted.
"Fuck, that's amazing!" exclaimed Narda.
"Well, I guess my powers are back." Kara grinned.
"You need to go back now?"
"Unfortunately, yes. My wife has been blowing up my phone since I landed here. She worries too much." she said and added a conspiratorial wink to Regina when Narda wasn't looking. "I also need to make a full report on what happened. Thank you both so much for your help. It was really great meeting you both. And if you ever end up on my side of the earth, come find me."
Kara hugged them both before walking towards the balcony. She gave them a little wave before flying into the night.
"So, I'm amazing, huh?" Narda teased the other woman.
"I just said that to make you look good in front of your crush." Regina deflected as she started tidying the room.
"My crush?"
She followed Regina into kitchen and deposited the wine glasses in the sink.
"Yeah, you were practically drooling." answered Regina. The quiet accusation was clear in her voice. Narda found it adorable.
"No, I didn't." denied the superhero. "I've just never met another superhero before apart from my mom. Also, have you seen her? She looks like a goddess."
"Oh look, you're drooling again."
"I just think your jealous."
"Excuse me?"
Regina whirled around so fast that she lost her balance. But before she could fall, Narda snaked an arm around her back to catch her.
Narda thought the night was already perfect. She met her childhood hero and she was great. But what happened next, definitely made this night one of the best nights of her life.
Narda wasn't sure who leaned in first. It didn't matter. When their lips met, it was both nothing and everything Narda could have ever imagined.
It was soft and fiery. It was curious and sure. It feels all too consuming and being reborn again all at once.
Narda would've happily kept kissing Regina if not for their need to breathe. They rest their forehead against each other as they breathe hard. Too afraid to loose the connection so soon. And when their eyes finally met, it feels like destiny. Like everything that happened in Narda's life has led to this moment. She knows it sounds cheesy as hell and if Regina could hear her thoughts, she'd definitely kick her out.
Her thoughts are interrupted when she felt a soft pinch on her side.
"Why did you have to make the first move?" Regina asked, looking annoyed.
Confused, Narda took a step back and looked at the woman she just had her tongue shoved into. "Wait, what?"
"It should've been me. I should be the one who makes the first move." Regina uncharacteristically whined.
"Well, we can just forget about that and you can come here and kiss me."
"That's impossible."
"Yeah, I agree. That was definitely unforgettable." Narda grinned as she slowly walked back towards the woman who makes her heart beat a mile a minute. "Regina, we're going to have so many firsts together. I promise I'll let you do most of it." she sealed the promise with a soft peck on her lips.
"Aren't you a bit assuming?"
"No. I am absolutely sure of it." the hero confidently answered the woman in her arms and gave her another kiss just because she can.

Two weeks later Narda receives a package. She saw from the tag that the shipping address was from National City and had the logo of LCorp. She carefully opened the box and found a letter and a familiar hexagonal-shaped box. She picked up the letter first.
Narda,
I'm a possessive person. I'm sure you know this already. And what's mine, should only be mine. I should be the only one who sees your well-toned body. No one else.
Also, haven't I worshipped your body enough to grant me exclusivity?
P.S. I only designed it but Lena Luthor made it.
xoxo, Regina
Narda swallowed the stone, transformed to her super-powered self and flew towards the woman who deserves to see the suit first. She's sure she broke a personal record at how fast she flew to reach Regina.
The bang from the office door that Darna slammed open caused a stream of expletives to come out from her girlfriend's beautiful mouth.
"What the hell, Narda?!"
She answered her with a grin and placed the box against her chest. Just like how Kara did it. "I just thought you'd want to see this first." she said before pushing the button.
The suit materialized before their eyes.
It was perfect. And needless to say, a lot of first happened that night.
