Chapter Text
Wandering through the various streets Hizashi sighed happily at the crisp autumn breeze that rolled in through the city. He had never been one for city living but this one just held a nice disposition when he had looked for a place to call home. His one bedroom with den was comfortable enough that if he wanted to work from home he could and if he needed to go to the studio it was a short walk. Tonight however he had decided to go in to let his coworkers leave a bit early. Stuffing his hands in his jacket pockets he lets his head fall back exposing his throat as his nose twitched with the smells of fall around him. It truly was the best season. His hair had been bunched into a messy bun atop his head exposing his neck to the chilled air. "Damn... forgot my scarf." Pausing in his jaunt he sighed and started his about face to go back and grab it from his office chair. He could smell it. It was perfect, and yet, he had been unable to locate it. Shouta had sensed it since the day it arrived in his town, the perfect specimen with the perfect blood. He’d heard rumours of his kind being driven mad by the scent of their perfect blood, but had never believed it possible until he’d sensed his. Every vampire needed blood to survive. That was just a fact. Not always a lot, just enough to survive, and that was how they went undetected, by leaving their food sources alive. Most vampires didn’t even really like the taste of blood. But there was a one in a billion chance that you’d sense the one that was perfect for you. Rumour had it that the perfect blood came with the perfect lifemate. But Shouta wasn’t sure he believed that either. It felt like he’d been searching for an eternity in this city, driven near mad with the scent of the blood and not the true location; that was until he walked straight into the most beautiful man he’d ever laid eyes on. *This is it. This is him* he thought, smiling as he stumbled slightly from how hard he had walked into the taller man. “My apologies, are you okay?” he asked gently, unable to take his eyes off him.
Moving to catch the shorter man Hizashi's eyes widened as they stumbled. "Im so sorry I should really have looked where I was going. I'm fine though are you okay?" His bottle green eyes shone in the dim streetlight with worry, his face turning a light flush as he blinks a few times with embarrassment as he shook his head breaking eye contact and releasing his hold against him the man's scent threw him honestly... he smelled like paper not in a bad way but in a nothing way. "Again... sorry about that..." side stepping he gives a tight but confused smile before rushing to the radio building.
“No, honestly, the mistake was all mine,” he smiled, hand moving to catch his elbow as the blonde moved to leave. Shouta blushed, realising he was being rude and let him go on his way.
That didn’t stop him following from a distance though, walking into the radio building and smiling at the receptionist. After giving a brief description of the man he’d just seen, she agreed to help him.
“Hey Zash,” the woman smiled as she saw Hizashi leaving again. “A guy left this for you,” she grinned.
*Im a great believe in fate. I also believe there was a reason we ran into one another day. Give me a call* the note stated, with Shouta’s phone number below.
