Robin and Steve are weirdly close Eddie thinks.
He's turned up at Steve's before and seen the two emerge from the bathroom in towels because they've just shared a shower. And if Robin wasn't the biggest lesbian he'd ever met then he'd definitely think there was something going on between them.
He gets used to their cuddling and the way they wear each other’s clothes and apparently platonically shower together, but the way they follow each other into the bathroom is kinda strange even for them.
He'd thought once that he and Gareth have the same sort of relationship as Robin and Steve. They tell each other everything and yeah he helped Gareth shower and get dressed when he broke his leg that time but he'd never even dream of hanging out in the bathroom while Gareth takes a shit just so they can keep talking.
But apparently, that's something Steve and Robin do.
He's over at Steve's as usual - dozing on the couch because he'd been up all night with nightmares - and Robin's telling Steve something about Vickie. Eddie's not really listening, he's too tired, but he does hear the way Steve says, "Hang on, I gotta take a dump."
He thinks nothing of it until he notices the room has gone silent. He peels his eyes open and sees that they've both gone. He assumes that Robin's gone to stand outside the bathroom door while Steve's in there - which is weird but it's them so whatever - and figures now he's more awake he'll go grab that glass of water he's been wanting.
But as he walks past the closed bathroom door, Robin's nowhere to be seen. He goes into the kitchen and chugs some water but as he's on his way back to the living room he hears voices.
They're coming from the bathroom, so he puts his ear up against the door and all he hears is Robin's voice as she talks about Vickie's new haircut. But then he hears a splash before Steve's voice cuts in to ask Robin a question.
That's when he realises they're both in there - continuing their conversation - as Steve shits.
He's glued to the spot in shock when he hears Robin say, "Don't flush when you're done, I'm gonna pee first."
"Yeah, cool, I think I'm done now anyway."
"Move then."
Eddie hears a scuffle before, "Jesus, Robs, at least let a guy pull up his pants before you push him out of the way."
"You were taking too long!"
Eddie shakes his head and goes to sit back down on the couch. They're so fucking weird.
