Work Text:

Zeff had agreed to watch the All Blue along with the crew, meaning that they could take a well needed holiday.

The kids had started begging the second the end of school came close, and they eventually given in a few weeks ago.

Some beri later, they had a boat hired and five tickets booked for Sabaody Park.

He and Zoro both had mixed feelings about going back there.

Not the amusement park, obviously, they hadn’t even gone there the first time, but Sabaody itself.

So much had happened there, and his recent nightmares had reflected it.

But, the kids wanted to and so they'd caved.

As they walked towards the main entrance, the crowds of people became denser, causing their youngest, Lune, to tuck him even closer against his leg.

Squeezing his hand a little tighter, he reached down to give his hair a stroke.

"You're okay, baby."

The twins, however, were very excited, crowds or no crowds, and had been the entire journey, listing off ride after ride on their pre-planned itinerary for the day. They had everything down to the minute by the sounds of it.

The queue moved quickly and soon enough, they were inside.

All three of the little sea monsters beamed in awe as they looked around at the sheer scale of the place.

"So, what's first?"

"Rollercoasters!" Kiki and Sho exclaimed. "There are so many amazing ones here!"

Having never ridden one only a few years ago, the twins had practically become aficionados on the things, even writing in a shared notebook the names of each one they'd 'conquered' and a score.

They took it very seriously and he had to commend them for it.

"Lune isn't going to be tall enough to ride the rollercoasters." Zoro spoke up. "So if you want to do them, we'll have to split up."

"Well this is a family holiday, so we're not spending the entire day apart, so pick three rollercoasters and then we'll meet back up."

Kiki and Sho groaned before finally nodding.

"Okay."

His husband crouched down in front of Lune, who had gone very quiet, and scooped him up into his arms.

He had a feeling the little guy didn't like the crowds, which was almost confirmed as he immediately tucked himself as close to the Swordsman’s chest as possible.

Zoro gently rubbed his back.

"Come on, let's go to Bubble Town."

He smiled at how much Lune's face lit up at the words.

"Yeah!"

"We'll meet back up here then, just call me when you guys are done." The Mosshead arranged.

He nodded, leaning over to press a kiss to their youngest's cheek.

"I'll see you later, baby."

"Bye, Papa."

And off he went with the twins.

Bubble Town, was the area for kids 1-6, meaning it was perfect for their little one.

Lune had been excited ever since they'd read about the land in the brochure together one night before bed.

As they walked inside, the area was filled with giant decorational bubbles, all a hard plastic, with houses, and shops, and animals all depicted in bright primary colours.

On the left there were stations where kids could draw, do bubble art, take part in a scavenger hunt, and get their face painted. And on the right, there were various meet and greet spots with the Sabaody Park mascots and various residents of Bubble Town such as a yellow Seahorse wearing a Sheriff's badge and a cowboy hat, a mermaid with long pink hair, and a friendly looking bubble.

Looking at Lune, he noticed that he seemed intrigued by the characters.

"Wanna' meet some of them?"

Their youngest was a shy kid, and never really asked for anything, something which they were working on. He wasn't sure whether this would be something the little guy would want to do or not, but it was worth an ask.

To his surprise though, he got a nervous nod in response.

"Will… will you come with me, Daddy?"

He smiled softly.

"Of course I will."

Heading over to join the queue, he placed Lune down and held his hand.

"Daddy?"

"Yes, Lune?"

"What do I do once we reach the front?"

He crouched down beside him.

"You walk over and say hello. You can talk to them more after that if you want, but you don't have to, then the woman behind the camera will take your picture with them."

"Are… are…" He waited patiently for the little boy to find his words. "Are you allowed to be in the photo too, Daddy?"

"Do you want me to be there with you?"

A quick nod followed before those small arms raised.

Scooping the kid back up into a carry, he pressed a kiss to his crown.

"You're my brave boy, aren't you?"

"Yeah." Lune smiled, proud of himself, and he couldn't help but smile too.

They were next and the friendly employee called them over.

It was Sabaody Sam first, a kid-friendly green dinosaur.

Sam waved as they walked over and Lune huddled in a little closer.

"It's okay…" He reassured. "It's just Sam, he's less scary than your Uncle Luffy."

Their youngest giggled.

"Are you gonna' say hi?"

"Hello Sam." Lune accompanied the greeting with a wave, and although he was still holding onto his arm in a light grip, he had uncovered himself a little from where he had been tucked against his chest.

He was so proud.

"Ready! And smile for the camera. Three, two, one."

Snap!

"Well done!" Complimented the photographer.

Once they'd met all the characters and he'd collected their photos, he knew the Cook was going to be over the moon with them. Now though, it was time for some rides, if he could get the little guy to try any.

'Bubble Town Safari'

"Let's go on this one, yeah?"

Lune nodded.

The queues were pretty small in Bubble Town, which he presumed was due to the age limits they had on their rides, but he wasn't complaining as it meant that they would be able to get on quite a bit before his husband and the twins called to say they were done.

Reaching the front, they climbed into a small safari vehicle before the ride began.

At quite possibly the slowest speed he'd ever travelled at, they drove through the jungles of Bubble Town, passing by animatronic animals as they passed.

Looking down at the seat beside him, Lune was grinning from ear to ear.

"Zebra! And Daddy look, there's a big lion!"

He smiled.

"What else can you spot?"

"Ummm… oh, a gorilla!"

The ride did one loop of the jungle before returning to the station, and as they disembarked, Lune was jumping up and down in pure joy.

"Did you like it?"

"Yeah!"

Walking out of the ride, he grabbed the map from his pocket.

Next up was the pirate ride, which the little one had already noticed, judging by the gasp he'd let out.

"Daddy! Daddy! Look! They're pirate ships!"

As they stood in the queue, he watched as the ride operated.

There were small pirate ships which went up and down as well as tipping backwards and forwards a little.

His immediate thought was that Lune was used to storms hitting the All Blue, so the ride was hardly going to be a challenging one for him, the second, was that the kid seemed to be beaming even more than he was before.

"You excited for this one, kiddo?"

Lune nodded.

"I want to ride on a pirate ship like Daddy and Papa did!"

And he couldn't help the smile which came to his face at those words.

As the ride came to a stop, his eyes widened as he caught sight of one of the ride vehicles.

"Merry…"

Lune looked at him and then back at the ride they were heading towards before realisation hit him too.

"Daddy! It's Merry!"

The little one eagerly climbed inside.

Joining him, he clicked the door shut and took a seat, making sure to fasten their son's seat belt before the ride began.

The attraction proved to be a huge hit, with Lune giggling happily the entire time as he tried to splash the other riders with water from the little water canon on the front of the boat.

At one point, he saw a flash and realised that there must be an on board photo.

They had to get that.

As they came to a stop once again though, Lune was practically bouncing up and down in his seat.

"That was so fun!"

"You'll have to tell your Uncle Usopp all about it, I'm sure he'd love to hear about Merry."

Lune nodded.

Just as they'd collected their photo, his transponder snail began to ring. Tucking the souvenir away in the pocket of his yukata, not even having time to look at it, he answered the call.

"Hi, we've just finished, where abouts are you?"

"We're still in Bubble Town."

"Okay, well the twins wanna' go on the carousel if Lune does too?"

"Do you wanna' ride the carousel?" He asked.

"What's that?"

"I'll show you."

"We'll meet you there." He answered.

"Okay, see you soon."

Hanging up, he tucked the snail away before scooping Lune up once again.

Leaving Bubble Town and heading into the hustle and bustle of the main park, the carousel wasn't too far away.

"Horsies!"

He chuckled.

"Seahorsies."

"Like the seahorsie I met earlier, Daddy."

"Exactly. So do you wanna' ride it too?"

Lune's eyes watched as the ride went round and round.

"You don't have to if you don't want to, it's your choice."

"I want to."

He heard footsteps before Kiki and Sho ran over, Sanji not far behind them. The twins immediately burst out into stories of their experiences on the rollercoasters and how much they'd enjoyed them.

He smiled.

"So you had a good time then?"

They nodded.

His husband's arms came to collect their little one from him and transfer him over.

"Hello, baby."

"Papa!" Lune smiled. "Papa! We went to Bubble Town and we met lots of characters, and went on a safari, and… and there was a pirate ride too!"

"Woooow." Sanji grinned. "You'll have to tell me all about it later, yeah?"

The little guy nodded eagerly.

"Let's go on the carousel, Lune." Sho encouraged.

"Okay."

And so they all got into the queue, which thankfully wasn't too bad of a wait, before boarding.

The twins had their own seahorse each, whilst Lune had wanted to stay with his Papa and ride with him, their little one sat with his back against Sanji's chest, those small hands holding the pole while the blonde held him upright.

He had taken the seahorse directly beside them.

"Did you have fun in Bubble Town?" His husband asked.

"Lune loved it, and we got some great photos."

This certainly perked Sanji's attention.

"Really?"

"Yeah, look."

He pulled the photos out of his pocket and flipped the lids of the holders to reveal Lune next to various characters.

The last photo however caused a gasp to escape the blonde's lips, just as the sight had for him on the ride.

"Merry?"

He smiled.

"Yeah, I guess the park used her likeness."

Neither of them wanted to admit just how emotional seeing a copy of their first ever ship had made them.

Organ music began to play an upbeat melody a few seconds later, distracting them from their thoughts as the carousel whirled to life.

The giggles of their kids followed as they went round and round and round.

It was a beautiful sight, one which warmed his heart.

He never thought he would ever have a family, or kids of his own…

"Zoro…" His husband spoke softly as he leant across and pecked him on the lips. "You okay?"

He smiled.

"I'm fine… I'm just happy."

Sanji smiled too.

And as they sailed home that night, three conked out kids asleep against him, the blonde smirked.

"So, should we book again for next year?"

"Definitely."
