Two weeks later.
In Los Angeles, CA.
At the courthouse.
(Everyone is inside of the courtroom listening to both sides on why and why Luke's case shouldn't be reopened with them all having to relisten to everything that Luke did in order to kidnap Trevor Sarah Reagan.
Mark looks around the courtroom becoming more and more annoyed by what's being said and then gets up and walks out of the courtroom. Hearing the door opening and see Mark leave Reagan gets up and goes
after him. As they both walked out Maggie turned and looked then looks at Mickey who can tell she's annoyed but doesn't say anything and let's her continue on with what she's saying. After everything is said and
done the judge sent them on break so that he could decide on what to do. After getting up and leaving the courtroom the deputy came out and took Luke to the back looking as smug as he did when he came in
which only pissed his victims friends and family off to no end. Once their out his lawyer tried talking with Maggie but she just walked around him and out of the courtroom followed by Mickey and the other's.)
Marshall: Well that's just great.
Out in the hallway.
(Mark's sitting there as everyone walks out of the courtroom.)
Mark: Let me guess he's gonna let him walk free?
Maggie: Not yet. He still has to decide if Luke's case is even worth reopening.
Mark: I sure as hell hope it's not. There's really no reason I can think of as to why that prick would want to have his case reopened.
Maggie: He's doing what all people found guilty do. They find away to beat the system.
Mark: And he's trying to do that?
Maggie: Yes. The DA's office doesn't like it. But we do have defendant's who do that.
Mark: So if they were to reopen the case.
Maggie: We could add in the choppers crash but until then. There's really nothing we can do.
Mark: Actually I don't really think the DA's office could touch Kat's case.
Mickey: Why not?
Mark: Because she works on a Military ship. If Marshall and Luke find out that Maggie is working on the case.
Mickey: She could lose her job.
Mark: No not really. They'd make her second chair to whoever they found from JAG.
(They look at him and then look off.)
Lorna: What's that mean?
Maggie: Luke can try and take this as high as a Fedral court. But due to the helicopter that she was flying was Military owned.
Lorna: Mark!
Mark: If Luke seriously thinks he's not gonna pay for what he did to that chopper he's dead wrong. I happen to the know the crew on the Lexington. Their not gonna let Luke off with a warning.
Maggie: Do I wanna know?
Mark: Not really.
Maggie: Of course not.
Mark: I mean I could tell you. But then you'd have to send me to prison for bringing it up.
Maggie: I didn't ask.
Mark: Okay than.
Lorna: What you gonna do if they do reopen this case?
Mark: I'm gonna run and hide.
(They start laughing at him then calm down as his phone goes off. He grabs it out to see who it is and gets annoyed so he mutes it and looks at them.)
Lorna: Anyone important?
Mark: No. Not really. If it was I would answered it.
Kate: Like who? Barbie?
Mark: She's not as pretty as people make her out to be. Actually she's kind of annoying.
(Kate laughs at him.)
Maggie: Okay. Someone seriously needs to see his girlfriend.
Mark: I've been trying to see her. But everytime I get the chance to fly out to the ship. I get called back by someone everyone knows as one Mickey Haller.
(Maggie turns and looks at him.)
Mickey: You don't always have to answer when I call.
Mark: Yeah it's not always you.
Mickey: Oh.
Maggie: Babe you need to leave him alone when he wants to go out and see her.
Mickey: I will. You ever plan on going to see her again. I'll behave myself.
Mark: No you won't.
Mickey: Yeah no I won't.
Lorna: Now he finally says it out loud.
Mark: Yeah that doesn't really surprise me when his fiancé is standing right front of him.
(Maggie laughs at him.)
Mickey: Yeah well.
(They continue to laugh at him.)
Twenty minutes later.
Back inside of the courtroom.
(Everyone is back inside of the courtroom ready for the judges ruling and when he comes out and makes his order all of Trevor's friends and family aren't to happy with the decision and get pissed off at him but it
only makes Mark laugh at the situation and then gets up and walks out of the courthouse because he didn't wanna lose it in the courtroom.)
Kirby: You've got to be fucken kidding me?
Sidney: He even tries to talk to me.
Kirby: I hear ya. Let's go you guys.
(They all get up and walk out of the courtroom and Maggie for one can't say she blames them.)
Judge: Ms. McPherson!
Maggie: I'm not apologizing to the defendant you're honor. He doesn't deserve it.
(Then she grabs up her things and leaves the courtroom along with Andrea.)
Marshall: Now wait a minute he wasn't done.
Maggie: Would you like me to bring his victims family back into this courtroom and really show you how they feel about your client Mr. Erickson.
Marshall: No.
Maggie: Didn't think so. Plus I really don't think he wants Trevor Sheldon's husband in this courtroom anymore today. I really do hope he tries to sue. I know a very good defense attorney.
Marshall: I.
Maggie: And don't even think about bringing up the Soto case again. Because you've are ready used that card. It's now invalid.
(Then she turns and walks off as Marshall stands there in shock at the back lash he's getting.)
Marshall: I'm only doing my job.
(As he stands there he looks around the courtroom and realizes he's alone and then grabs up his things and leaves.)
An hour later.
Back at Mickey's law office.
(They all walk in and head for the desks.)
Lorna: What happened?
Mark: Fucken judge ruled in Luke's favor.
Cisco: Are you fucken kidding me?
Mark: Wish I was.
Izzy: Mickey that's not right.
Mickey: Oh I know. Maggie and Andrea are just as pissed off.
Mark: What happened after we walked out?
Mickey: Maggie pretty much told the defense to go hell when the little prick wanted an apology.
(They all start laughing then calm down.)
Mark: Yeah that's Maggie.
Mickey: Hearing her say that.
Mark: What?
Mickey: I know I'm supposed to be pissed at her. But I can't find it in myself to be mad at her.
Mark: You just think it's hot when she's pissed.
Mickey: I do. It makes the sex all the more better.
(Mark and Cisco start laughing at Lorna's face.)
Mark: Damn dude.
Mickey: What?
Kate: You honestly get turned on by your fiancé getting pissed.
Mickey: Not all the time no. See Maggie was pissed yes. She wasn't to happy with the way judge ruled. That's a Maggie I can handle.
Reagan: Do we even wanna know which one he can't handle.
Mark: No not really. I've met that Maggie and isn't pretty.
Mickey: No it's not.
Mark: But hey.
Mickey: She does calm down after awhile.
Mark: See at least with you.
Mickey: What?
Mark: You know what can set Maggie off. And that call might of just set her off.
Mickey: Yeah. I won't be seeing Maggie anytime soon. I messaged her but she hasn't responded yet.
Kate: You're not worried about it?
Mickey: I am. But I know Maggie she needs time to cool off.
Mark: See a lot of women out there need someone like Mickey.
(They start laughing at his face as his phone goes off.)
Mickey: Mark in so many ways that was wrong.
(He walks off towards his office to go and answer his phone as he gets to the phone he answers it.)
Mickey: Mickey Haller!
Maggie: Hey.
Mickey: Mag's.
(He closes the door and goes to sit down as he talks to her as everyone else sits out there talking and joking around as Mark's cell goes off. He grabs it out to see who it is. Seeing the number he gets annoyed and
mutes it then puts the phone down as they all continue to talk and joke around as they all continue to joke around Mark's phone goes off again getting him to look to see who it is and mutes it again when he sees
the number again.)
Izzy: Who is that?
Mark: Luke!
Lorna: So it's starting are ready?
Mark: Pretty much. He's gonna be throwing into everyone's faces that he's a freeman and there's nothing we can do about it.
Lorna: Until he breaks the law again.
Mark: Yeah. You know what?
Lorna: What?
Mark: I'm gonna go and see Kat. I could really use her smile right about now.
Lorna: Okay.
(He gets up and goes to walk out when he sees Mickey hang up and then walks off towards his office as gets there he walks in and closes the door behind him.)
Mark: What happened?
Mickey: She's really taking this loss hard.
Mark: What the hell did he do?
Mickey: He approached her and then threatened to sue her.
Mark: For what? Doing her job and putting away the guilty?
Mickey: Pretty much.
Mark: You know it's not really fair to Maggie if he's gonna pull this shit.
Mickey: I know. Mark I can't stress this enough.
Mark: If he goes after her. She has every right to throw the book at the son of a bitch.
Mickey: His idiot lawyer isn't gonna see it that way.
Mark: I guess that's what makes his lawyer an idiot. I'm gonna go and see Kat.
Mickey: Okay.
Mark: All I can say Mick is that. Don't make her talk are right.
Mickey: I won't. Have a safe trip.
Mark: I'm going out to the middle of the ocean. How much more safe can it be?
(They start laughing as he walks out of the office and closes the door behind him. As he's about to walk out of the office fully Luke walks in and Mark looks off annoyed.)
Mark: You've got a lot of nerve showing your face around here.
Luke: It's a free country.
Mark: Yeah well go and enjoy it somewhere else.
Luke: Oh come on. We use to be friends.
Mark: Yeah until you kidnapped two of my bestfriends and killed my husband.
Luke: I didn't do any of that.
Mark: The evidence stated otherwise. Only thing is your lawyer is to big of a fucken dumbass to see it.
(Luke looks at him and laughs off the shock of what he had just said.)
Mark: But him brining up the Soto case in front of the whole jury was solid move on his part. Oh but wait. Maggie isn't like most DA's she regained herself very quickly.
Luke: I was just.
Mark: Why don't you just leave. You are the last person Kate wants to see.
(Luke looks at him and laughs as he turns and walks off as he walks out Mark looks at them.)
Lorna: Yeah he's gonna be problem.
Mark: Yup.
Lorna: But go on Mark.
Mark: You sure?
Lorna: Yeah. If we need you. We know how to get a hold of you.
Mark: Are right.
(He walks off to go and head out to go and see his girlfriend. As he walks out Lorna looks at Mickey who looks very annoyed and texts Maggie telling her to be careful once it's typed out he sends it and then walks
over to her.)
Lorna: Go.
Mickey: Okay.
(He walks back over to his office and grabs his things to go and be with his fiancé and their daughter.)
Reagan: I can't believe he actually showed up here.
Kate: I can.
Reagan: What?
Kate: He wants to try and get our friendship back. But he's not gonna get it.
Reagan: Even if he?
Kate: Even if he does that. He's done far way to much damage to our friendship there's coming back from that.
Reagan: True.
Kate: Let's go home and see the kids.
Reagan: Okay.
(They both walk off to go home and see their kids.)
An hour later.
Over at Mickey and Maggie's house.
(Mickey pulls up and stops the car once it's stopped he puts it into park then shuts it off and gets out after grabbing his things once he has everything he closes the door and locks the car up as he walks up to the
house as gets to the door he opens it and walks inside as he walks in he closes and puts his things down.)
Mickey: Maggie!
Maggie: In the kitchen.
(Mickey walks off towards the kitchen and sees her there.)
Mickey: Hey.
Maggie: Hey.
Mickey: He do anything to you?
Maggie: No. Just ran his mouth like normal.
Mickey: How bad do you think this will get?
Maggie: Knowing this guy. Who knows. I mean we won't really have to worry about him going after Hayley.
Mickey: But if he does?
Maggie: Then he's going to find himself trouble that he doesn't want.
Mickey: Yeah. This isn't your fault.
(Maggie looks at him and smiles at him.)
Maggie: I know it's not. But if he tries anything.
Mickey: Mark's are ready said he wouldn't blame you.
Maggie: Fair enough.
(He smiles at her as he kisses her then pulls away from her.)
Mickey: Hey.
Maggie: Yeah.
Mickey: If you wanna talk let me know okay.
Maggie: I will. I just don't feel like talking about it now.
Mickey: Okay. I'm gonna go and pick Hayley up then.
Maggie: Okay thank you.
Mickey: You're welcome. I love you.
(Maggie looks at him and smiles.)
Maggie: I love you too.
(He smiles at her as he walks off to go and get Hayley from school. As he walks out Maggie throws the towel at the sink and continues to throw things around until someone rushes into the house and over to her
seeing things getting thrown around the house they rush into the kitchen and grab whatever it is she was gonna throw getting her to turn around face her sister.)
Raven: Tough day at work?
Maggie: The fucken judge let him walk.
(Raven looks at her and then looks off annoyed.)
Raven: Fuck. How's Mark handling this?
Maggie: He's pissed so are his friends.
Raven: Shit. I was coming into town to help you guys celebrate. Guess not much of a celebration.
Maggie: No. Just me wrecking my fiancé's kitchen.
Raven: I'm sure he'd understand.
Maggie: I know he would.
Raven: Where is he anyway?
Maggie: He went to get Hayley from school.
Raven: Oh.
Maggie: I'm not pushing him away. I just I hate this sometimes I really really do.
(She walks around her and out of the house to stand out on the patio. As she gets out there she leans on the railing to look out at the city as Raven joins her.)
Maggie: I feel like I let Mark and his friends down.
Raven: Why?
Maggie: I just. I feel like there was something that those two idiots were holding over the judges head.
Raven: Okay.
Maggie: But I can't prove it Rav. I can't.
Raven: I'm sure there's something we can dig up on them.
Maggie: I'm sure there is. But what?
Raven: Doesn't Mickey have an investigator?
Maggie: Yeah why?
Raven: Maybe he can look into the judge find out just what it was that Luke was holding over his head.
(Maggie looks at her and nods her head at her.)
Maggie: Now there's an idea.
(She grabs out her phone and texts Cisco.)
Maggie: How are things between you and Kelly going?
(Raven looks at her and laughs.)
Raven: Good.
Maggie: Say that once more and I just might believe you?
Raven: Their great really. I mean her ex is doing everything he can to break us up. But other than that.
Maggie: What is she doing?
Raven: You remember while Mindy was doing everything she could to try and break up Sidney and Kirby?
Maggie: Yeah. Sidney was at her wits ends until she finally snapped at her and told her that if she didn't get Mindy to leave them alone she'd end up doing something that would make her regret it. Why?
(Raven looks at her sister who looks at her and she starts laughing.)
Maggie: You didn't?
Raven: Yup. I did and well.
Maggie: What she do?
Raven: She knew I was feed up with him always getting in the way and finally said something to him.
Maggie: Oh boy.
Raven: Yeah only with me. I made it seem like i was going blow off his manhood.
(Maggie looks at her and starts laughing.)
Maggie: I shouldn't find that funny.
Raven: So what the hell are you laughing for?
Maggie: Because it was funny.
Raven: Well then see.
(They start laughing again then calm down as they continue to talk and joke around. Over the next several days. Everyone in Mark's life continue to try and get on with their lives but are finding it very hard when
Luke keeps showing up trying to cause trouble and with Mark out on the Lexington spending time with Kat after learning from the judge that Luke was walking he didn't wanna stay in LA and deal with Luke so he
left. Which was fine with his friends until Luke started causing them problems and trying to get Maggie to do something that would get her to lose her job and Mickey being who he is knowing enough is enough
called Mark who quickly flew back to help get Luke to back off. And Mark's timing was spot on because Luke was about to do something to Maggie that got him to act quickly and rushed into the house.)
Mark: Hey.
(Luke hearing his voice turns to look at him and laughs as he goes to stab Maggie only to get bat to the face sending him over as he hit the floor Mark rushes over to Maggie who quickly put herself into her friends
awaiting arms.)
Mark: Lorna get her out of here.
(He hands her off to Lorna as they both walk off Mark gets him up and starts beating on him as he continues to beat on Cisco rushes into the house and over to him as he gets to him he grabs him off of Luke and
takes him out of the house once their out of the house Mark's holding his hand as the police rush back in and quickly arrest him. Once he's been arrested again Mark walks over to Maggie who hugs him getting
him to smile at her.)
Maggie: Thank you.
Mark: You're welcome. What the hell has been going on here?
Maggie: For the first three days you were gone. Things were fine.
Mark: Okay.
Lorna: But he quickly started coming around the offices and started harassing Maggie and me.
(Mark looks at them and then looks at Cisco who looks annoyed.)
Maggie: Mark I think he knew you weren't in the country after those three days.
Mark: Why's that?
Lorna: Because whenever we would threaten to call you he would laugh.
(Mark looks at them and then looks off annoyed.)
Mark: Fuck.
Mickey: Maggie!
(She looks over at Mickey and runs over to him as she gets to him he quickly hugs her as Kate and Reagan run up to them along with Sidney and Kirby.)
Mark: Son of a bitch went after her.
(They all look at him and get annoyed.)
Kate: You got here quick.
Mark: My girlfriend knows how to fly.
(They start laughing as Mark walks back into the house to go and look around along with Sidney and the other's as their looking he sees the knife that Luke was gonna use and puts a glove on once he has them on
he picks it up and looks it over as he's looking the knife over Kirby walks up to him and kneels down next to him.)
Kirby: What's the matter?
Mark: I know this knife.
Kirby: How?
Mark: Because it's the one Trevor gave me for our two year wedding anniversary.
(Kirby looks at him and then looks at the knife in her friends hands.)
Kirby: How the hell would he of gotten his hands onto that knife?
Mark: I don't know. I left it with you and Sid.
(Kirby looks at him and then looks off annoyed.)
Griggs: Was that knife he was gonna use?
Mark: I think so.
Griggs: You know whose knife that is?
Mark: Yeah.
Griggs: How do you know?
Mark: Because my husband gave it to me for our two year wedding anniversary.
Griggs: Okay. Can you?
Mark: Yeah.
(He puts the knife into the bag and he closes it up as Mark and Kirby continue to look around the house to see if they can't find anything else. As their search of the house continues they don't come with anything
until they look around the bedroom and Kirby sees something getting both Mark and Griggs attention they both walk over to her and she points out what she's found and Mark looks at it.)
Mark: That's a hole.
Griggs: Haller putting holes in his walls?
Mark: No. This wasn't done by Mickey. As far as I can remember he's never hung anything on this wall.
Griggs: So why's their hole in his bedroom wall.
Mark: Good question.
(He grabs out his flashlight and shines it into hole and he sees it.)
Mark: Son of a bitch.
Kirby: What?
Mark: He's got a camera in the wall.
Kirby: What?
Mark: There's a camera in the wall.
(He reaches in and grabs it out to see if it's recording.)
Griggs: Is it connected to something?
Mark: No. It's wireless.
Griggs: I can't stress enough how bad this is.
Mark: Yeah and I'm sure Luke got an eye full too.
Kirby: Why?
Mark: Because this camera is facing the bed.
(He puts the camera against the hole again shows them where the camera was aiming.)
Kirby: Shit. He's been watching her and Mickey?
Mark: Yeah. He has been. Makes you wonder how many camera's he's put up around this house.
Kirby: Who knows.
Mark: Griggs have your guys scan the walls for cameras.
Griggs: Okay.
(He walks off as Mark shuts the camera off and looks at Kirby as he places it into the evidence bag and they close it up then walks out of the room as Mark looks around the room more and then walks into the
bathroom as he's looking around Mickey walks in and over to him.)
Mickey: You are right?
Mark: Yeah. I'm fine. How's Maggie?
Mickey: She's freaked out. Why you checking my bathroom walls for holes?
Mark: Because your bedroom had a camera.
Mickey: What?
Mark: There was a camera facing yours and Maggie's bed.
(Mickey looks at him and then looks off annoyed as Mark spots another hole and looks at it and spots another camera.)
Mark: Kirby!
(She rushes into the room and he pulls the camera out of it's hole and shows her.)
Kirby: Shit.
Mark: I don't know what the hell this was doing in here. Unless you and Maggie signed up to do porn.
(Mickey looks at him as Kirby's trying to keep from laughing.)
Mickey: We didn't.
Mark: I have a feeling Luke became obbessed with Maggie.
Mickey: Damn it.
Mark: Did you two ever do it in here?
(Mickey looks at him as Kirby's trying to keep from laughing.)
Mickey: Maybe.
Mark: Hey no judgement here man. Me and Kat do it all the time in the bathroom.
(As of hearing her name she walks into the bathroom and gives her boyfriend a what the hell look.)
Mark: Love ya babe.
Kat: Yeah.
(They continue to laugh as Mark puts the camera into the bag and hands it to Kirby.)
Mark: Hell I'm sure Sam and Richie do it a lot in the bathroom.
(They both look at him and then look off trying to keep from laughing.)
Richie: Hey.
(Mark walks off laughing at his face.)
Richie: That's rude.
(They continue to laugh as they continue to search the house. Over the next couple of days the police continue to investigate Luke and his actives all thanks to him going after Maggie the police are once again
reinvestigating Luke's case and with the added evidence against him they should be able to put him away again for a very long time. Once the investigation was done and over with they handed the case off to the
DA's office who happily took the case back and put one of the best prosecutor's on the case and no it's not Maggie or Andrea seeing as to how their both to close to this case. No who the DA's office called in was
someone Mark was completely surprised to see when she walked into the courtroom. The day of Luke's bail hearing hearing her voice Mark looked up at her and then quickly stood up to see who it is.)
Mark: Erin!
(She looked at him and smiled as she walked off towards the front and Mark looked at his friends then laughed.)
Mark: Other then Maggie.
Kate: Is she good?
Mark: Oh yeah. She's the Maggie McFierce of the New York DA's office.
Kate: Whoa.
Mark: Yeah. Luke's got one hell of power house as far as DA's go.
Reagan: Are you saying?
Mark: I'm saying Luke and his lawyer have no chance of him beating this charge.
Reagan: Good.
Mark: Yup.
(They start laughing as they stay and watch as both sides of the courtroom go back and forth about bail and why they believe Luke should or shouldn't get it and when Erin mentioned how Luke Fox is a possible
flight risk. His lawyer tried something that got Mark to laugh out loud at him.)
Mark: Sorry your honor.
(Then he tells Kate and Reagan who start laughing then calm down. After bail was denied the judge had set a date for Luke's new trial and even while in jail getting ready to go on trial for his crimes even behind
bars it didn't stop Luke from still doing everything he could to screw up Mark and his friends lives and once that was found out the judge had set another date for his trial and it was lot closer then Luke and his
lawyer had planned on. During Luke's trial both sides of the courtroom were once again talking to the jury and telling them why or why not Luke shouldn't go back to prison and one of the reasons why Luke
shouldn't go to prison is because the police never actually looked at other people who could gone after Sarah Sawyer Reagan Queen and Trevor Sheldon. But the one victim his lawyer failed to mention was the
crash at time had taken someone's life. And that was quickly brought up by Prosecutor and it threw both Luke and his attorney who tried to fight it but the judge allowed and after days of testimony and arguments
between lawyers the judge sent the jury back to discuss a verdict. And then dismissed the courtroom until the jury came back.)
Out on the walkway.
(Mark's standing there looking out at the city as Maggie walks up to him.)
Mark: How you doing?
Maggie: I'm are right. I gotta tell ya.
Mark: What?
Maggie: Your friend in there is giving me a run for my fucken money.
Mark: Yeah. She is.
Maggie: Damn.
Mark: Oh come on Mag's.
Maggie: What?
Mark: We all know you're the best in the state of California.
Maggie: Shit I know.
(They start laughing then calm down.)
Mark: How are you and Mickey doing?
Maggie: We're great. I mean with me not having to handle this case.
Mark: What?
Maggie: Me and Mickey have been planning the wedding.
Mark: Oh really?
Maggie: Yeah. It's not gonna be very big. Just big enough for close friends and family.
Mark: Sounds like an idea.
Maggie: Yeah.
Mark: Something bothering you?
Maggie: No. I'm actually looking forward to the wedding.
Mark: Well that's great to hear.
Maggie: It is. How are things between you and Kat?
Mark: Their great. She really makes me happy. And that's not something I thought I'd ever say. Not after losing Trevor.
Maggie: At least you found someone whose there for you.
Mark: Yeah.
Maggie: Anyway.
(They start laughing as Mickey walks up to them and puts his hand onto Maggie's back getting her to turn and look at him.)
Maggie: Hey honey.
Mickey: Hey.
(She kisses him then pulls away from him.)
Mark: Jury back?
Mickey: Not yet. Andrea said she would text when they did.
(Mark nods his head at him. As they all stand out there talking and joking around. Mickey gets a text from Andy saying the jury was back which sent them all back towards the courthouse and back towards the
courtroom as they get there they all rush towards the courtroom and go to their seats. Soon after arriving back in the courtroom the judge came back in and then brought the jury back in once their jury was back
in the jury box. They all sat down and continued to watch as the judge talked to the lawyers and to Luke and then asked the jury if they had come up with a verdict and they had. And they had once again found
Luke guilty on all charges which of course got his lawyer to look back at Mark and his friends who were smiling and were just waiting so they could go out and celebrate yet again on their victory of getting Luke
send back to prison. Now all they had to hope was that he stayed in prison this time and didn't try to cause anymore trouble but they all know he will.
