[Cut to the Red Ranger using his Pyro Saber to slash away at several Batlzers, blocking two more, before knocking them back with a firewave. Cut to the Blue Ranger using his Sea Lance to strike at a Batlzers, before spinning around and slashing all at remaning footsolidiers.]

"Izuku/String Bean/Freckles!" The Rangers exclaimed upon entering the room. They spotted their injured friend propped up on one of the infirmary beds, his left leg strapped and both his arms wrapped close to his chest. Everyone dared to think that this was worse than what he had to endure after the Battle Trial. All Might was there too, looking just as stressed.
"Power Rangers!" He uttered, surprised to see the team.
"Sup, big guy!" Kiba greeted him.
"How is he?" Cyrus immediately asked as he gestured to the freckled teen.
"Not very good..." Recovery Girl admitted before facing Izuku. "The bones in your right arm were shattered. It will never be the same as before."
"Damn." Reina made a light noise in response to that.
"H-He's...not gonna lose his arm, is he?" Ayumi asked, gasping in terror.
"Oh, heavens no. I'm going to have to remove the pieces of bones so they don't stay in his joints. That way I could heal him properly," Recovery Girl explained, letting out a sigh. "To push and light a fire in a child...who would go as far as to destroy his own body for what he yearns for..." The Youthful Heroine looks to All Might with disapproval. "I don't like it. You've gone too far. You, and this boy. You can't praise him for this." The No.1 looked to the ground, knowing that Recovery Girl was right.
"No, I don't think that was it." Sora suddenly said, interrupting her rant as she and the others looked to see him approaching the bed. "He... was fighting for himself..." he pointed out while looking at his friend., "He was fighting... to save Todoroki..."
"Young Ukashi..." All Might uttered out, surprised by the Ranger's words.
The infirmary door slammed open, startling All Might and the team. "Deku/Midoriya!" Ochako exclaimed, accompanied by Tenya, Tsuyu, and Mineta.
"You scared me..." All Might muttered, holding his chest.
"Oh. Hello, sir," Ochaco greeted.
"H-Hello..."
"Hey, you guys!" Tsuyu said, noticing the HF team within the room as well. "Where did you go?"
"Yeah, we had something to take care of." Cyrus told her.
"Guys...the next match..." Izuku managed to utter as he opened his eyes.
"On hold until the arena is properly fixed," Tenya explained, moving his hands robotically.
"You and Todoroki totally wrecked the stage!" Kiba exclaimed.
"Lower your voice a little, dummy," Reina said.
Mineta trembled in fear. "That match earlier was scary, Midoriya...What pro's gonna want that?" Tsuyu then smacks him with her tongue.
"Now that's rubbing salt on the wound." she bluntly said.
"Am I wrong though?" Mineta challenged.
Ayumi frowned in reponse. "Hey! Any Pro would be lucky to have someone as dedicated as him!" She said, angrily.
"Alright, calm down!" Recovery Girl insisted as she came over, getting everyone's attention, "I need to focus on surgery right now!" she informed of them.
"Surgery?!"
"Go on. Off with you now," Recovery Girl said.
While the others asked the old nurse some questions, Sora paused and shifted his gaze to Izuku, who had his eyes on Toshinori, who watched Recovery Girl and the kids.
"Izuku." He called out, getting the former duo's attention. "Don't beat yourself up about what happened. Despite losing the match, you've broken through Todoroki's walls to save him." A proud smile curled up the corner of his lip. "If you ask me, that's the strength of a true hero."
Izuku's eyes widened largely at the Red Ranger's words, as well as All Might's.
"See ya out there, buddy." Sora turned and left the infirmary, closing the door with a click.
"What's wrong, Ochaco?" Tsuyu asked as everyone noticed the girl's worried expression.
"I know, but..." the brunette said, very full of concern. "He needs surgery. He really hurt himself."
Ayumi walked over and placed her hands on the girl's shoulders. "Hey, Recovery Girl's the best in U.A, he'll be fine!" she reassured.
"Yeah, you're right, Suzuni." Ochaco said, feeling a bit relieved.
"Ayumi." The Pink Ranger corrected, surprising the Zero Gravity user. "Call me Ayumi."
Ochaco blinked at this, before smiling. "Ayumi."
Kiba perked up at something. "Oh, right!" He spoke, turning to face Sora and Iida. "Aren't you two facing off against each other in the next match?"
"Indeed," the Engine Quirk user then turned his future opponent, bowing to him politely. "I'm honored to be fighting a worry opponent."
"Same here, Iida," Sora responded with a smirk. "Let's give it our all."
"Let's just hope that your next match doesn't end as fast as your last match with Monoma," Reina joked as she lightly nudged Sora's arm with her elbow.
"In Sora's defense, Monoma didn't exactly have anything to offer combat-wise." Cyrus shrugged.
"Well, we better get back to our seats." Kiba grinned, gesturing to the corridor. "I think this gonna be an awesome match!"
"Hey, you guys are back!" Sero was the first to notice the group of Reina, Cyrus, Kiba, Ochaco, Tsuyu, Mineta, and Ayumi all returning before the rest of the class did.
"Kibi!" Mina called happily, waving at the Yellow Ranger.
"Hey, Mimi!" Kiba waved back.
"Where have you guys been?" Jiro asked as Cyrus moved over to sit by Momo.
"Yeah, you missed Uraraka's match against our resident firecracker." Kaminari told them.
"Shut up, moron!" Bakugo snapped.
"We had a quick emergency, but it's been taken care of." the Blue Ranger replied.
"Yo, Red." Reina greeted as she punched Kirishima in the shoulder. "Heard you were pretty badass in your fight."
"Hehe, yeah." The redhead laughed, rubbing his head sheepishly.
["Let's keep pumping out these things and move on!"] Present Mic announced, signaling for Sora to hear to the arena. He started walking. ["Time for the second match of the Second Round!"] Mic continued. ["Get ready to watch two new players duke it out!"] The crowd cheered as both the combatants got into the arena.
["He's the kid with engines in his legs, it's Tenya Iida from the Hero Course!"] Mic described, as Iida was looking determined to win. ["Verses, the warrior in red, who finished his last fight in two hits. Also from the Hero course, it's Sora Ukashiiiiiiiiii!"] The Red Ranger just had a smile on his face as he waved at the crowd that cheered for him.
Iida stared at Sora and vice versa. Both fighters were getting into their stances. This was going to be a close-quarters battle for sure.
"Oh! I feel the tension in the air!" Midnight remarked. "I can't wait for the action!"
Class 1-A was on the edge of their seats. They knew Sora held back during his fight with Monoma, but here, he could let loose and show everyone just how strong he was.
["READY!?"] Mic hyped up the crowd. This was it. Sora and Iida's time to shine. The battle that decided their careers. The battle that would show the world what they were made of. It was time to go beyond!
["BEGIN!"]
"RAAAAA!"
Sora's yell startled everyone as he launched himself forward faster than anyone would've believed.
'THAT WAS FAST!?' was the collective thought of Iida and everyone watching (except the Rangers) as Iida hopped back in an effort to get some distance between him and the onrushing Red Ranger. The young fighter drew his fist back as if he was going in with a right haymaker and Iida prepared his block and counter.
Sora fazed out.
'What?' Iida wondered, just as he felt a presence above him. He looked up and saw Sora dropping towards him, one leg high in the air, getting ready for an axe kick. The leg dropped and there was an explosion that sent rock and dust flying, forcing the spectators to shield their eyes. Iida emerged from the cloud, skidding backwards on the arena. Somehow, he'd managed to throw himself back and get out of the way.
The dust cleared and revealed Sora, the leg he'd used in the kick buried in rock up to the knee, and it looked as if he wasn't able to pull it out.
"Ahh, damn it!" He swore, as he put too much power in that kick.
Seeing his chance, Iida rushed in, jumped and threw a roundhouse kick.
Sora raised his right hand, as if answering a telephone, and caught the kick on his shoulder and upper arm muscle. Iida's eyes widened in astonishment as his attack was stopped as if it was nothing. The Red Ranger struggled for a moment then yelled as he threw his arm out, knocking Iida off balance and buying himself the time he needed to wrench his leg free.
The Engine Quirk user bounced back and skidded to a stop, snapping back into stance. Lee got himself under control and reassumed his pose as well.
A wind passed over the field, whipping Sora's hair into a wild frenzy. Neither fighter hesitated before speeding at each other again, eyes burning and fists ready to strike.
The two sprinted at each other, going into a speedy clash with Iida throwing his kicks and Sora countering each time.
Sora and Iida reappeared in a swirl of dust and a clap of thunder, the latter's shin slamming into Sora's as both tried to hit the other with a high kick that would've connected to the other's head if they both hadn't tried the same move at the same time, the shockwave from the colliding blows flying out with a whirling dust cloud.
The two bounced apart and got ready for another round of attacks.
["Oh man!"] Present Mic announced. ["I can tell this battle is sure going along fast!"]
Tenya began running again, this time circling Sora and observing his movements. He didn't have too many options fighting someone like Sora, so he had to think on the fly and come up with a plan that could maybe help him win the fight. He had his Recipro Burst, but he was only going to use that as a last resort, so he needed to try something else.
Sora kept his eye on Iida, watching how fast he was running and how far he was. When he got that figured out, he went on the offensive, using his speed to cut off Tenya and threw out his arm to clothesline him. Iida just barely managed to pull his upper body back and skid under the attack. He used his momentum to then grab the Red Ranger by the back of the shirt and then began sprinting towards the closest edge to the arena.
The crowd was cheering at the spectacle that was unfolding, meanwhile Class 1-A was impressed with how well Iida was doing so far, but they knew that it wasn't going to be over that quickly.
Tenya was getting closer to the edge, readying himself to throw his opponent out of the arena, but then was jerked to a stop. Sora firmly planted his feet on the ground to stop him, and it worked. He didn't have any time to react as Sora used his free hand to grab the arm that was holding him and then throw Iida over his shoulder and slam him to the ground. The Engine Quirk user winced from the shock, but snapped out of it when he saw his opponent jump in the air and attempt to slam him with his fist while he was on the ground.
Without any time to lose, he kicked himself up and out of the way of the attack, letting it strike the ground and causing it to crack a bit. Tenya then dashed towards Sora while he was getting his hand out of the ground and delivered a kick to the boy's back, making Sora flinch for a second, but he didn't stop there. Iida, with his leg still pressed to Sora's back, put more power into his engines, adding much more force and managing to make his opponent hit the ground hard a few yards away.
The crowd was cheering even more from the spectacle and Class 1-A was very surprised to see how well Iida was doing. A few actually had some stuff to say.
"Ooh, that's gotta hurt!" Kiba winced as he saw Sora get kicked in the back and sent flying by Iida.
"Wow." Tsuyu commented. "Iida's doing even better than I thought."
"Yeah." Sero agreed. "He's actually making progress against Ukashi."
"At least it's a step up from his last match against Hatsume," Reina added.
"His speed really is something else." Shoji remarked.
"And on top of that, he hasn't even used his special move." Kaminari pointed out.
"Then he might actually have a chance of beating Ukashi?" Kirishima thought out loud.
"Well, maybe." Izuku stated. "But that's only if he can surprise Sora at the beginning and then throw him out of the ring before he can retaliate."
Bakugo scoffed at that last comment.
"Even if Iida did use his special move from the Cavalry Battle, Sora could find a way to dodge it and his engines would stall after that, giving Sora the opportunity for a counterattack," Cyrus reminded his classmates.
"Yeah." Ayumi nodded as her gaze remained on the Red Ranger. "Even when it may seem impossible, Sora has a way to come out on top."
Tenya kept his eyes on Sora, watching him as he got up, shaking his head to get some dust off him. He didn't look damaged at all. It's just like Iida thought, he can't beat him by knockout. The best option is to win by ringout. But how? He's not going to use Recipro yet. He needed to try at least one more option first. He got himself ready for his next attempt.
The speedster then began sprinting around the arena, seemingly trapping Sora in a circle. Picking up more speed than he did to confuse him.
["IIDA HAS THE YOUNG UKASHI COMPLETELY SURROUNDED! AT THIS STAGE, CAN HE EVEN ESCAPE FROM IT!"] Present Mic pointed out.
'From this speed, I doubt he can see my movements,' Iida observed quietly as he continued his random pattern, with Sora making no effort to see where Iida was coming from.
Just as he continued picking up more speed, time slowed down and Iida watched in shock as the other teen's head swiveled around and a single red eye glanced back at him.
"Hehe. Not bad, Iida." The Red Ranger smirked.
'No! He can see me!' Sora's reaction time was fast, and it'll be even faster now that he knows what kind of moves Iida will pull. He knew he can't win in a hand-to-hand fight with Sora, but there's still more tricks to do. If Iida were to win, he'd have to finish the battle quickly.
It's risky, but Iida's down to one more option left. If it worked, he'll most likely win, but if it didn't, he'd lose. But it was worth a shot. Iida took a deep breath, and prepared himself. Fortunately, he can rely on his speed to be unpredictable with his attacks, he only needs to be a little creative.
"Apologies, Ukashi. But this ends now!" Activating his Quirk, he caused blue flames to shoot out of the exhaust pipes of his engines. Sora's instincts went off as he realized what he was about to do.
"RECIPRO BURST!" Iida called out his special move as he ended his encirclement and shot towards Sora at high speed. When he closed the range, he jumped and lifted his right leg. As he assumed, Sora was able to dodge the attack at the last second.
He now had 10 seconds before his engines stalled. He had to win in that time frame. So, Iida used the momentum to lift up his left leg and swing back around to kick Sora in the back of the head...
Only for his eyes to nearly pop out of his head as Sora merely raised an arm and blocked the attack with much effort, even as the ground beneath them cracked upon impact.
This made everyone in the audience gasp in shock as Sora held him back. "About what you said earlier, I agree..." He began as he looked up at the shocked teen. "This ends now."
Using his other arm, Sora seized the speedster's leg and jerked the limb and Iida felt a jolt in his stomach as his path went from paused to circular as Sora began to spin, adding Iida's momentum to his own centripetal force.
Everyone present at the battle watched in awe as the Quirkless boy spun Iida once...twice...three times before he released his grip on the bespectacled boy and sent him flying away across the arena.
Getting his feet under him, Iida managed to stop his backward progress, screeching to a halt, just inches from the white line.
'That was too close. Another few feet and I would have gone over.' His thoughts were interrupted when he heard a rushing noise in front of him. 'What?' He managed to turn just in time to catch a glimpse of Sora, hanging over in the air, horizontal, one leg cocked back. The force of the brutal kick made Iida go flying once more, though this time, he was launched out of the arena.
Iida landed on the ground, sliding for a few seconds before stopping. He held his cheek for a bit, because that hurt him a bit more than expected. The crowd was still silent, until Midnight broke the silence. "Tenya Iida had been forced out of bounds!" She announced. "Sora Ukashi advances!"
Sora smiled, wiping his nose as the crowd cheered for his victory. He was genuinely surprised with his friend, because there were a few close calls.
He ran over to Tenya and helped his friend up. "That was a really good fight." He complimented. "You got some real power behind those legs."
Iida sighed as he sat up. "Not powerful enough, I suppose." He said. He then saw Sora reaching out his hand to him. Iida took it and smiled, as Sora pulled him back up to his feet.
"SO YOUTHFUL!" Midnight cried out in delight, just like she did when Kirishima and Tetsutetsu showed their good sportsmanship.
"That spiky haired kid really turned it around at the end." A fish guy said.
"It looked pretty back and forth to me." A girl replied.
"The boy with the engines used his speed to try and overwhelm his opponent. Smart." Another guy said.
"But that other guy recovered and pushed him back a few times, even stopping that engine guy's attack with one arm!" A lizard guy remarked.
"That clash near the end though was pretty strong, right?" The female Hero next to the lizard added.
"It left a small crater." One of the Robots agreed. "You need a lot of strength to be able to do that."
"Are we sure he's Quirkless?" Another one asked.
"I don't know, but both of them were pretty good." A third Robot said. "They'll go pretty far."
Soon, both boys returned to their seats, where they both got surrounded by their class.
"Holy crap, Iida!" Kaminari complimented. "You managed to make Ukashi put in some effort."
"That fight was amazing!" Hagakure praised. "Both of you were at each other's throats."
"Seriously. When you did that move where you kicked Sora in the back, even I felt that!" Kiba exclaimed, rubbing his head in emphasis.
"For real!" Mina joined in. "I had no idea you could kick like that!"
"Very impressive, Iida." Tokoyami commented. "I thought Ukashi would be unbeatable, but you've given me some doubt about it."
The speedster was happy to receive the praise, but was a bit confused. "I'm surprised that you're not all congratulating Ukashi on his victory, but I do appreciate the kindness towards me."
"Well, we were expecting you to lose, so." Minoru stated, before getting slapped by Asui's tongue.
"What he means is that we predicted that Ukashi was going to win." Jiro corrected.
"But you nearly proved us wrong a few times, and that is worth praising." Shoji added.
"Not only that," Kirishima started. "But that first part of the fight was so manly! Keeping up with each other in speed, freaking badass!"
"Red's not wrong." Reina commented. "I mean, I was honestly surprised by how you got a few hits on Sora."
"I'd like to say I enjoyed this fight, Ukashi. It makes me even more determined to train harder so we can have a rematch." Iida told Sora.
"I look forward to it. But don't sell yourself short, man. Your brother would be proud of you for getting this far in the games." Sora said with a smile and his hands in his pockets.
"Thank you, Ukashi." Iida said with a nod. "I suppose this means that you'll be fighting against Todoroki in your next match. I wish you the best."
"Thanks, Iida," Sora said with a smile.
Suddenly, Iida's whole body started shaking up and down. "Woah, man! What's going on with your body?!" Cyrus shouted in shock.
"No, it's just my phone." Iida replied, pulling out his phone from his pocket.
"Uh, I pretty sure people don't normally do that," Ayumi said awkwardly.
Iida looked at the caller ID and was a little surprised. It was his mother. "It's my mother. Excuse me, everyone. I'll have to take this."
"No worries, man." Sero waved off, before Iida walked off to find a private place to talk to his mother.
"Hello, Mom? I hate to tell you this, but I lost." Iida said into the phone, standing behind a corner.
"No, son, son, I'm not calling about that. I mean, I'm sorry. But, Tenya, please listen carefully."
What she would say next would be repeated in the speedster's worst nightmares. Filling him with horror and disbelief by what she told him.
"It's your brother. A villain got Tensei!"
Hero Killer: Stain stared out into the city, his face contoured a look of glee and rage as he licked the blood off the blade of his worn and partially damaged katana.
The man who had haunted Tokyo's Heroes' cities was an intimidating, muscular person who walked with a distinct hunch and had a flat, somewhat-triangular face without a nose, and an extraordinarily long tongue, tainted with numerous small papillae. He had rather long, black hair, which he wore in a messy fashion; it would have draped over his face if not for his headband and mask, and small red eyes with tiny irises.
Armed to the teeth, he sported a dark combat suit, plated with metal armor across his body to holster his weapons. The torso was sleeveless, so he instead wraps his arms in yellow bandages, all the way from just below his shoulders to his wrists.
