Present Mic: WELCOME BACK SPORTS FANS TO THE FINAL ROUND OF THE ANNUAL UA SPORTS FESTIVAL! IN CASE YOU'VE BEEN LIVING UNDER A ROCK ALL DAY, LET'S CATCH YOU UP TO SPEED!
Aizawa: Another pun? Really?
Present Mic: THE FESTIVAL BEGAN WITH A ROCKETING START WHEN CLASS 1-A STUDENT, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG STOLE THE LEAD AND ABSOLUTELY DEMOLISHED EVERYONE IN THE OBSTACLE RACE! WOW LOOK AT HIM GO! I CAN'T EVEN KEEP UP WITH HIM!
Aizawa: For those unaware, Sonic is a Mobian resembling a hedgehog, which gives him his spiky quills. With this ability, he can also tuck and roll into a ball.
Present Mic: HIS QUIRK IS CALLED SPEED OF SOUND! SONIC CAN MOVE FAST ENOUGH TO BREAK THE SOUND BARRIER, GOING FROM ZERO TO 767 MPH IN AN INSTANT! BUT HIS SPEED FEATS DON'T STOP THERE!
Aizawa: With enough focus, he can also surpass the speed of light, as hard as that may seem to believe.
Present Mic: SONIC'S LEAD HOWEVER WAS STOLEN WHEN FELLOW CLASS 1-A STUDENT IZUKU MIDORIYA TOOK FIRST PLACE DURING THE CAVALRY BATTLE ALONGSIDE HIS TEAMMATES! BUT THE ACTION DIDN'T STOP THERE!
Aizawa: Both students qualified for the final tournament of the festival, defeating the likes of their strongest classmates.
Present Mic: AFTER COUNTLESS BATTLES SONIC HAS NOW MADE IT TO THE FINAL ROUND AND WILL FACE HIS OPPONENT; BLAZE THE CAT FROM CLASS 1-B.
Aizawa: Blaze is at the top of her class with a quirk called Pyrokinesis. She has complete control over heat and fire, which she can use for both offensive and defensive purposes.
Present Mic: WITH A POWERHOUSE QUIRK LIKE THAT, IT COULD MEAN THE END FOR SONIC'S WINNING STREAK! WHO WILL COME OUT ON TOP AND TAKE HOME THE GOLD? THERE'S ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT SO STAY TUNED!
Sonic is currently in the locker room getting ready for his final match with Blaze.
Everyone: SONIC!
Sonic looks up and sees the entirety of Class 1-A, minus Bakugou.
Sonic: Whoa! What're you guys all doing here?
Tokoyami: We came to congratulate you on making it this far.
Yaoyorozu: And to wish you luck in the final round!
Ochako: You've been cheering us on this whole time, it's only fair we cheer for you!
Hagakure: You're gonna do great! I know it!
Sato: You've got it in the bag.
Asui: Just don't push yourself too hard, ribbit.
Sonic: Hehe, you guys all rock!
Todoroki: Sonic...
Sonic is a bit confused, this is one of the only times Todoroki has ever actually spoken to him.
Todoroki: Good luck. Blaze is strong, I know that firsthand, but I've seen you in action as well. You've been both a worthy adversary and ally. I know you can do this.
Sonic thinks back to his fight with Blaze and how tough of an opponent she was.
"Is this all just a big game to you? We're all here working our hardest to become heroes and save people, but you're just here for the fun of it? And it all just comes so easy for you, doesn't it?... If you're not gonna take this seriously, I suggest you drop out and make some room for someone truly worthy to be here."
Sonic: Thanks, Freezerburn!
Kirishima: No sweat, you've got this bro! Do it to it!
Kaminari: We'll all be rooting for you!
Iida: Make our class proud, Sonic!
Jiro: Don't let us down, Blue Blur.
Mineta: Go get 'em Sonic!
Tokoyami: Focus your spirit. We're with you.
Sonic winks and gives them a thumbs up.
Sonic: I won't let you guys down!
Everyone: YEAH!
Deku: Sonic!
Sonic: Yo! Izuku!
Deku: I just... wanna say thanks... for everything.
Sonic: Aw c'mon don't get all sappy on me now, Deku!
The two of them smile at each other.
Deku: Alright! Then go out there and win this thing!
Sonic nods and they fist bump. Sonic then turns around and walks out to the field.
Music Insert:
Present Mic: ALRIIIIIIIIIIGHT! IT'S TIME FOR THE MOMENT YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR! THE FINAL ROUND OF THE UA SPORTS FESTIVAL! THIS MATCH WILL DECIDE THE WINNER! LET'S INTRODUCE OUR FINALISTS! FROM CLASS 1-B! THE TOP OF HER CLASS! SHE'S HOT TO THE TOUCH AND HER FIERY QUIRK WILL LEAVE YOU BURNED! WE HAVE THE PRINCESS OF FLAMES, BLAZE THE CAT!
The audience cheers for Blaze as she steps onto the field.
Silver: YOU'VE GOT THIS BLAZE!
Kendo: GO GET 'EM BLAZE!
Monoma: SHOW THE CLASS 1-A TURD UP!
Tetsutetsu: GO FOR IT BLAZE!
The rest of her class and the crowd cheers for her.
Present Mic: AND HER OPPONENT THE ROOKIE SENSATION FROM CLASS 1-A! LIGHT THE FUSE CAUSE HE'S A ROCKET AND HE'S READY TO GO, KICKIN' ASS FAST AND PUTTING ON A SHOW! THE BLUE BLUR HIMSELF, THE FASTEST THING ALIVE! THE ONE AND ONLY, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG!!!
The audience goes crazy for Sonic once again. All of his classmates are cheering him on.
Mina: GO GO SONIC!
Kaminari: GO GET 'EM SONIC! THIS IS YOUR MOMENT!
Kirishima: WIN THIS THING BRO! YOU CAN DO IT!
Ochako: GIVE IT EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT SONIC!
Jiro: YOU'VE GOT THIS, SPEEDY!
Mineta: RUN CIRCLES AROUND THE FLAMING WHO-
Shoji covers his mouth before he can finish.
Shoji: That's enough out of you.
The two students stand opposed to each other.
Blaze: You've made quite a name for yourself here. Impressive.
Sonic: What can I say? I'm the most famous hedgehog. Y'know, I've been thinking about what you said.
Blaze: I have as well. I misjudged you, Sonic. I believed you were an egotistical show-off with a powerhouse who didn't care about what being a hero meant... but I see now, there's more to you than that. I was the one who was misguided. I was so concerned with upholding my family's legacy, that I lost sight of why I wanted to be a hero.
Sonic: You don't have to apologize... I'm not always the easiest person to read ya know. But it's like I said. This fight isn't for anybody else.
Blaze smiles at her foe.
Music Insert:
Blaze: You're right. So prove me wrong. Show me you have what it takes to become number one!
Sonic: Hehe! No hard feelings when I win, right?
Present Mic: ALRIGHT!!! IT'S TIME FOR THE FINAL ROUND!!! FIGHTERS READY?!
Sonic gets in a position to run. He plants one foot on the ground, while pushing the other back ready to take off. For a moment, his lightning flows through his body. He looks up and his eyes quickly flash a bright blue.
Sonic: This is it...
Blaze:...no holding back now. It's time...
Sonic: Here we-
Present Mic: CLASH!!!
Sonic: -GOOOO!!!
In mere seconds the battle begins. Sonic and Blaze begin rushing each other, moving at incredibly high speed. They clash several times, seeming almost evenly matched in both speed and strength. Blaze attacks Sonic with rapid Fire Claws and Sonic dodges, retaliating with lightning-fast punches of his own.
The two of them keep exchanging blows before colliding once more and blasting each other back again.
Ochako: Oh man, she's almost as fast as Sonic!
Iida: Indeed. She's definitely a force to be reckoned with.
Deku: Every attack is boosted by her fire power. That's one heck of a technique. Still... Sonic's got this.
Blaze ignites her hands and begins shooting flames at Sonic.
Blaze: Flame Burst!
Sonic charges at her, boosting forward while evading her attacks.
Sonic: Gonna have to be faster than that to stop me!
He then begins rolling and lands a spin attack on Blaze knocking her back. He lands a few more spin attacks before circling around her, surrounding Blaze with a blue tornado attack.
Mina: Haha! Yeah, he's got her on the ropes!
Silver: Get out of there, Blaze!
Blaze gets trapped in the vortex, however she uses her fire to propel herself upwards, then charges and fires a Flame Burst downwards into the vortex causing an explosion that knocks Sonic back.
Sonic: Woah!
Sonic flies backwards, sliding across the arena, still in the ring. He then revs up a spind ash and launches himself at Blaze again. Blaze also begins spinning using her Axel Tornado as she clashes with Sonic. The two of them keep rolling and spinning into each other at high speeds across the arena.
Jiro: Fire tornado? That's pretty badass.
Mina: It's like she's got her own version of the spin dash!
Hagakure: Sonic's in trouble! He might not pull through.
Todoroki: No, we've got to trust him.
The two of the break away again, before Blaze jumps up, spins in the air, then uses her Burst Dash to rush towards Sonic, who quicksteps out of the way. Blaze continually tries the technique until she finally lands a hit on Sonic, knocking him back again.
Sonic: Rgh! Not going down that easy!
Sonic clenches his fist once and his eyes flash blue as he revs up into a ball, and uses the Spin Shot technique to fire energy waves at her. Blaze is able to block all but one of these projectiles, not having time to react when Sonic boosts into her, knocking her away with an Updraft.
Sonic: How about that?!
Blaze tumbles back across the ring, before landing on her feet and ignites her hands once more. Blaze uses her Fire Boost as the two of the keep clashing into each other at high speeds. Blaze blocks an attack and tries to blast Sonic away with another Flame Burst. She ignites her hand and strikes Sonic with a punch that causes an explosion, almost like Bakugou's quirk. The blast sends a heatwave into the crowd.
Mineta: Man I didn't think she was that powerful! She's a walking flame thrower!
Yaoyorozu: They said she was the top of her class, she definitely lives up to her title.
Tokoyami: Looks like they're at a standstill right now.
Once the dust clears, it's revealed that Sonic managed to block the attack and is still standing.
Blaze: He tanked it?
Sonic: Nice try! My turn!
Sonic rushes at Blaze, charging up energy in his hand. His eyes glow blue and some red markings cover his body. Deku sees this and his eyes widen.
"Wait a second... I recognize that power... It's just like... when I use One for All..."
Blaze also charges at Sonic, igniting her hand again and making a fist. The two of them collide and land a solid hit on each other.
Yaoyorozu: They seem to counter each other blow for blow.
Kaminari: At this rate, their fight could go on forever.
Iida: Then it's only a matter of who gives out first. Look at them they're clearly exhausting themselves.
Sonic and Blaze rush at each other, both of decking each other in the face, before pushing each other back. The two of them stand opposed to each other on opposite sides of the ring. At this point, they are both getting worn down and exhausted.
Blaze: *panting* I... must admit... you are one of the strongest opponents I have ever faced... I'm glad we got to do this...
Sonic: *panting* Same here... now I know just how strong you really are...
Blaze: As do I... but this ends now Sonic...
For a moment, Blaze remembers meeting Sonic for the first time.
Blaze: You helped me come to my senses. You helped me remember why I want to become a hero, but... I won't let you win this fight!
Sonic: Heh. I wouldn't have it any other way. It's been fun Blaze, but now... I'll show you what real speed is!
They both stand up, knowing that this next hit will decide the match.
"Thank you Sonic... for reminding me what it means to be a hero."
Both fighter's auras flare up and explode with power. Sonic's body is shrouded in lightning and his eyes are glowing bright blue. Blaze's body is covered in purple and red fire.
Without another word, the two fighters boost right into each other, head first at insane levels of speed, blowing dust and dirt all throughout the stadium. They're going head to head, pushing against each other.
Deku: Ugh! They're trying to knock each other out of the ring!
Kirishima: OH MAN THIS IS CRAZY! THEY'RE SO FAST!!!
Silver: COME ON BLAZE! YOU CAN WIN THIS!!!
Tetsutetsu: YOU CAN BEAT THIS GUY!
Kendo: GO FOR IT BLAZE!
Sonic and Blaze both look each other dead in the eyes, gritting their teeth as they try to knock each other out of the arena.
Kaminari: C'MON SONIC! YOU'RE ALMOST THERE!
Kirishima: DON'T GIVE UP BRO, YOU'VE GOT THIS!
MINA: WE'RE ALL ROOTING FOR YOU SONIC!
Class 1-A cheers for their friend, as Deku looks down in awe.
"Sonic... one of the first friends I ever made at UA...he helped me so much... he's been like a big brother to me since day one..."
Flashback to the entrance exam...
Sonic: Nothing starts 'til you take action... if you have time to worry-
Deku: -then run...
At that moment, Deku stands up and shouts.
Deku: SONIC! DON'T GIVE UP NOW! GIVE IT EVERYTHING YOU HAVE AND WIN THIS THING!!!
Sonic hears him loud and clear. He flashes his iconic smirk at Blaze.
Sonic: Hehe! Sorry Blaze, I've got too much at stake here. My friends got me this far, and I'm not about to let them down now!
Sonic begins speeding up and pushing even harder. More and more electricity begins to spark from all over his body.
Blaze: W-What?!
Sonic: HERE'S GOES! GRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!
Sonic boosts again, breaking the sound barrier and causing the loudest Sonic Boom he's ever done. With that final attack, Sonic sends Blaze flying out of the ring. Blaze has been KO'd.
Present Mic: BLAZE THE CAT HAS BEEN DEFEATED! WE HAVE A WINNER! SONIC THE HEDGEHOG OF CLASS 1-A WINS!!!
The stadium erupts with cheers and applause. Confetti fills the air. The mega screen displays the winner. Sonic's family at home cheers for him. All his friends cheer for him in the stands.
Kaminari: ALRIGHT SONIC!!!
Kirishima: WAY TO GO BRO!!!
Mina: HE DID IT! SONIC DID IT! HE WON!
Deku just looks down and smiles at his friend.
As everyone is continually cheering for Sonic, he walks up to Blaze and extends his hand to her. Blaze smiles and takes his hand. However, Sonic then lifts her up and lifts both their hands in the air, as if to signify "She was awesome too! Let's show her some love!"
Blaze: S-Sonic?! What're you-?!
The audience erupts with applause for Blaze as well.
Silver: YOU WERE AWESOME BLAZE!!!
Kendo: WE LOVE YOU BLAZE!!!
Tetsutetsu: AWESOME MATCH!!!
The rest of Class 1-B also cheers and applauds her.
Blaze blushes and smiles at their compliments. Some time passes and the students are now receiving their medals. All Might arrives on the scene to hand them out. In 3rd place is Katsuki Bakugou.
All Might: Young Bakugou! Congratulations!
Bakugou: Don't pity me, old man.
All Might puts the medal around his neck and puts his hand on his shoulder.
All Might: Listen well, young Bakugou, you've got a strong quirk and someday you'll make a fine hero... but you must first learn to keep your anger and your ego in check. A hero is someone who looks out for those around them, and whether or not you see it, you have people who care about you.
Bakugou says nothing and puts his head down as All Might moves on.
All Might: Young Blaze! Congratulations!
Blaze: Sir!
All Might: Haha! At ease Young Blaze. *he puts the medal around her neck* You did a fine job out there. You held your own and didn't give up. That's the true making of a hero. You should feel proud!
Blaze: I... I do.
She smiles and All Might gives her a hug.
All Might: Excellent! Keep up the amazing work!
All Might then walks up to Sonic at the podium.
All Might: Now then! Young Hedgehog! I've only known you for such a short time and yet... you've proven to everyone just how amazing you truly are. A valiant hero with a powerful quirk to be sure... but most of all, a good person with a kind heart. Even when you break the rules, you've got nothing but goodness in your heart and a strong will to save others. Sonic the Hedgehog... it is my honor to bestow upon you this medal.
He puts the medal around his neck.
All Might: You've earned this. Congratulations!
He hugs him and whispers to him.
All Might: And thank you, Sonic... for saving me...
Sonic: No problem, All Might!
All Might: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! YOUR FUTURE HEROES!
The crowds go wild for Sonic one last time and all his friends clap and cheer for him! They then dogpile him and carry him off!
Sonic: Haha! Woah!
Kaminari, Kirishima, Mina, Jiro, Hagakure, Uraraka, Deku: SONIC SONIC SONIC SONIC SONIC!!!
Sonic: Haha! Let's go, everyone! Chili dogs on me!
We then shift back to the onlooker's lab, which doubles as a factory. As the Sports Festival comes to a close, he pauses the broadcast which is currently focused on Sonic. He lets out a malicious and devious grin.
???: What a waste. All of that power being spent on petty festivals and pointless heroics...
Music Insert:
The onlooker stands up and turns around, with his face still hidden, and begins to walk down a long hallway.
???: Those heroes are such a nuisance. No quirk could ever compare to my brilliance.
As he's walking, hundreds upon hundreds of inactive robots, drones, and other deadly machines and weapons can be seen.
???: Well... it's about time for someone to change all of that. It's time that I brought about a revolution! A new world order where brain triumphs over brawn. And once I'm done with those pathetic heroes, nothing will stand in my way! I'll finally achieve my dream and conquer this world! ROBOTNIK LAND WILL FINALLY COME TO BE! NYAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
The onlooker is revealed to be none other than the evil genius, Dr. Ivo Robotnik, who laughs hysterically as the scene pans and we see his robotic army begin to activate as they cock their guns and their eyes begin to glow red.
