Chapter Text
Have you ever wondered what hides where human eyes cannot reach? What bathes in rippled sunlight as it dances through the sea? Why do the tides whine and whirl? What delights lie within kingdoms of coral? What creatures of wild whimsy swim through cathedrals of kelp?
The sea keeps many secrets hidden within its depths. After all, it is only the moon’s child—a dreamer’s impossible paradise—that can do so. You see, such secrets are everywhere, whether under the pearlescent curve of a shell or in the delicate lapping of waves against rocks.
And though the tide is rich with untold truths, perhaps its most peculiar secret is how it calls, in silken mersong, for a boy who can no longer dream.
If you listen carefully, you just might hear it.
