Lauren was having a shitty couple of days. First her flight was delayed and made her miss her connecting flight, then she had to stay the night in the airport while she waited for her makeup flight. To make everything worse, she got her period while sleeping on the airport floor and woke up to blood smeared all over the back of her pants and the airport carpet. She had to change and clean up before getting on her next flight, and go through the embarrassment of letting airport personnel know there was blood on the carpet. But finally, finally, she was at her hotel. She dropped her bags and beelined to the bathroom, knowing she needed to change her pad. She was kind of pissed about getting here so late, because she knew her friends Sophie and Caitlin had definitely taken the beds, so she was stuck on the pull out couch. But at least she was on vacation, and ready to party. She got ready for bed, said goodnight to her friends, and passed out on the bed. Waking up did not improve her past couple of shitty days. She had bled through her pad and stained the sheets of the pull out couch. Then she took those off to discover the blood had gotten on the actual mattress too. And that’s why there’s a red stain on the pull out couch in the bed.
