Snotlout sighed. "You're awesome"
"Cmon, no need to flatter me man" Tuffnut laughed gently
"No, i really mean it tuff, you're amazing"
"You are too-"
Snotlout blushed, he had never been good at taking compliments, even now that he was getting a lot of them.
Tuffnut noticed snotlout's expression and smiled "you always freeze up when i compliment you, its adorable"
"Dont say that-"
"Dont say what"
Snotlout buried his face in tuffnut's neck and mumbled "dont call me adorable-"
Tuffnut frowned. "Why not?"
"I dont wanna be adorable or cute or anything- i wanna be strong, and brave and hot but i dont wanna be...." snotlout signed
"Hey, theres nothing wrong with being cute"
"But it makes me feel....i dunno-"
"Vulnerable?"
"Yeah!...yeah-"
That made Tuffnut raise an eyebrow "why dont you wanna be vulnerable?"
"Because...” tuffnut sighed “cmon, you know why-"
“Babe- theres nothing wrong with being vulnerable”
“I get that- but- it doesn’t matter if its ok, it feels wrong”
Tuffnut frowned, he placed his hand on snotlout’s shoulder “its ok”
Snotlout frowned
“But it isn’t….it isnt ok…i just…. Want to be normal about stuff”
“No ones *totally* normal about stuff-“
Snotlout frowned
“Yeah but im…..”
He paused
“Thanks….for trying to make me feel better-”
tuffnut wasn’t expecting that, and he was expecting snotlout to kiss him on the temple even less
But he smiled and hugged snotlout close
“I mean it”
