Chapter Text
the parlor, Little Paddocks;
The group tensed and waited. The clock struck seven and all the lights went out. A panic filled the air, replacing the once thrumming excitement. People bumped into each other trying to stay on alert.
"It's starting!" Melinda exclaimed. She felt a hand grab hers but she didn't shake it off.
"I don't like this!" Crystal protested. "This was a mistake!"
More voices raised in panic, while others tried to calm the crowd. It was a frightful scene of fear, panic, and concern.
the parlor;
Everyone was still buzzing when the door swung open and a blinding flashlight shone on their faces, They could make out various faces. Melinda had her eyes clenched tightly closed.
"Stick your hands up!" a voice shouted. Thinking, it was part of the fun, everyone raised their hands. All of sudden, a gun fired, twice. They were horrified then Raina started screaming. The figure in the doorway turned. There was a final gunshot and they fell down. The door swung closed.
"What the hell happened?!" a voice screamed as they rushed to find the lights.
the living room, Bucky and Steve's cottage;
Bucky and Steve had some alone time. The couple were in their living room, eating dessert when they heard the first police car speed by. One car would mean nothing, but more cars came zooming down the street.
"Oh no," Steve said. He rushed to the window and peaked out. Their neighbors stepped out on their lawns and looked around.
"I think that murder may be real," Bucky spoke, coming to look outside. "Should we head into town?"
"Wait for Nick's call. Last thing they need is more people stumbling over their crime scene."
Little Paddocks;
Raina was still screaming when Vision, Edwin, and Clint went into the hallway. Clint and Edwin searched around and found the fuse box. Vision unlocked the door and Raina came out screaming. She had to be slapped back to her senses. Then the lights came back on. They saw Agnes bleeding, and a masked figure on the floor.
"He shot himself." someone commented.
"Serves him right." Vision grumbled. Clint knelt down to check his pulse. He shook his head.
"He's dead." he stated. They removed the mask only to be confused.
"Who's he?" someone asked, they didn't recognize the young man at all.
"He looks so young." Melinda was astonished.
"Aggie! It's the young man from the spa hotel. The one that asked you for money." Sharon exclaimed. Agnes looked at him and covered her mouth. She winced at the pain and Crystal caught her before she fell.
"We need a doctor!" the young woman screamed.
