hikari and sanemi, my babies i loved them so so much!! their story is so good, the relationships and friendships forged between the hashira’s were amazing.. and honestly i got so attached to everyone, these characters truly feel alive :(
hikari’s presence was so well written!! her sisterly bond with the butterfly girls—especially with kanae who was a fellow hashira. their mission together revitalizing her motivations to fight against the demons!! and her relationship with the kamaboko squad, where she’s a clear mentor and older sister figure.. protecting them as a hashira, making sure that they can live to see another day.
i genuinely loved the friendship and camaraderie between the hashira; hikari with the girls, kanae, shinobu, and mitsuri was so sweet!! with muichiro she was a caregiver, an older sister who loved him and took care of him while he was amnesiac. gyomei was hikari’s father figure, who saved her and trained her.. and rest of the boys, kyojuro, obanai, tengen, and giyuu, the friendship she shared with them all was so precious.
of course we can’t forget her relationship with sanemi, i loved the way their relationship evolved throughout the story!! from just being comrades in battle, to true friends, then lovers fighting to stay alive <3
