Chapter 1: Here we are now, entertain us.

Chapter Text

The young man scrolled intently on his phone, and gently bit his finger with his other hand.

He was currently live-streaming to thousands of viewers and knowing his videos would inevitably be clipped and reposted, he was tense.

Clavicular was the persona he presented to his millions of followers, but he was simply 'Braden' to his close friends.

It had been months since he had seen his close friend 'Cookie.' At least that's the name he was known by to the internet. To Braden, he was simply 'Demir.'

The chat exploded when they found out he would be shortly joined by Cookie.

They hadn't spoken for a while because Braden had suddenly gained both virality and notoriety over a few days.

He was too busy. That's what he told Demir. That's what he told himself. Busy, busy, busy. Between the fraternity visits, countless club girls in and interviews there wasn't enough time.

But really Braden knew that it was because he hated how Demir made him feel. Most of all, he hated that everyone could see it so clearly. His feelings were easier to manage when he had fewer eyes on him, but with millions watching it was too much.

Demir came in to the room. Braden hadn't realised how much he missed him until he really looked at him.

Demir stayed standing. "Aren't you going to give me a hug, clavvie-wavvie?" he asked, in an extremely obnoxious tone of voice.

Braden rolled his eyes, but stood up anyway. The camera was positioned very low, so the viewers could only see their legs in the frame.

Demir put his arms around Braden and held them there "I missed you" he whispered into his ear.

Braden gave him a small stroke on his back and said quietly 'it's nice to have you back.' Neither confirmation nor rejection.

He started to pull away, but Demir pulled him back in "Wait. Can we wait a little? Why do they get the first hello?"

Braden felt confused, "meaning..what?"

Demir whispered into his ear "meaning I want to say hi properly."

Only then did he understand. If it was someone else, it wouldn't be so endearing, but from Demir, Braden couldn't help but smile.

"If I say I missed you too, will you sit the fuck down?" he asked.

"Yes" Demir smiled widely, biting his lip.

"I missed you too" he sighed into his ear.

The chat pinged furiously.

They had been standing longer than they had realised.

There were thousands of unseen messages in the live chat.

Time to entertain them, Braden thought to himself.

Notes:
