Chapter Text
The first time that Felix regressed in front of one of the other members, it had been on a night where he wasn’t feeling well. He had been sick all that morning, so he was grateful that it had been a free day.
Chan had offered to take care of him, since the other guys had made plans to go out bowling and Felix had expressed to Chan that he felt bad and wanted the others to be able to enjoy their night without worrying too much about him. Felix had, of course, protested Chan’s act of sacrificing his own night out. Chan was very adamant that he would be staying though, and the blond didn’t have the energy to argue.
While Felix was sipping on some warm broth to try and settle his stomach, he had gotten nauseous and ended up making a mess of himself. Chan had realized how out of it the younger man truly was, and made careful work of bringing him to the bathroom and giving him a quick bath.
Once Felix was washed up, Chan wrapped him in the fluffiest towel available and carried him to his bedroom. He sat the boy on a pillow on the floor and plugged in a hair dryer, turning on a low setting and humming a soft tune to help Felix relax.
Felix had gone quiet, besides his soft breaths and an occasional giggle when some hair tickled his nose as Chan moved the blowdryer around.
Chan smiled and ruffled Felix’s hair a bit. “Is it tickling you? Do you feel a bit better after your bath?” He asked Felix sweetly, leaning down a bit to look at the blond’s face.
Felix had a light blush across his cheeks, and he looked over at Chan with sleepy eyes. “Mhm.. a lil better..” He said softly, his words a bit mumbled through the small pout that found itself on his lips.
Chan felt relief flood his system as he heard Felix’s small words, finishing up with drying the others hair before putting the blowdryer away and kissing Felix’s head. “Alright Lix, up we go~” He encouraged, scooping his hands under Felix’s armpits before hoisting the boy up into the bed with him, sitting him on his butt before standing up.
When Chan stepped away from Felix, the blond’s eyes widened with panic and he whined. “N-no! Stay!” He cried, reaching out to grab Chan’s arm as tears welled in his eyes almost immediately.
Chan gasped when he felt the tiny hand grab him, looking at Felix and crouching right by the bed. “Oh Lixie, baby.. I just want to get you some clothes, alright? It’s okay, love.” He explained softly, noticing that Felix seemed a bit… different than usual? Besides being sick, that is.
Chan had a bit of an idea that Felix might potentially have a younger headspace that he was keeping out of the view from the others. He only had this idea from a time that he had walked into Felix’s room one night to ask him a question, only to be greeted with the sight of the blond sleeping peacefully with his thumb in his mouth and a random child's cartoon still playing on his phone from where it must have fallen on the bed beside him once he fell asleep.
Felix whimpered and shook his head, clinging on to Chan’s arm and staring up at him as if Chan was the only one keeping the boy grounded to Earth.
The look on Felix’s face had the older man’s heart going insane. He figured he needed to try and soothe the blond, and decided that this was the moment to take his role as the ‘father’ of the group a bit more serious. “You trust daddy Channie, don’t you baby? Would I ever lie to you?” He asked softly, using his free hand to brush some fluffy blond hair from Felix’s face.
Felix blushed and a little smile blossomed from his pout. “Daddy?” He whispered shyly, his face only brightening more when Chan chuckled and nodded, kissing his forehead.
“Yes Bokkie~ Daddy just wants to get his sick little sunshine ready for bed, then we can snuggle and go night-night.” Chan promised, standing up again and pointing towards Felix’s dresser. “Do you want to help daddy pick out your jammies, love?”
Felix giggled weakly and nodded, wrapping the big towel tighter around himself once he finally released his grip on Chan’s arm. “Please daddy, ‘m sleepy..” He yawned and rubbed his eyes. Exhaustion had washed over him now that he was allowing his body to relax, now that he felt safe, and he knew that he could trust his daddy to take care of him.
Chan smiled and opened the drawer, taking his time as he showed Felix every pair of pajamas that he had before the younger finally decided on a cute light blue striped pajama set that consisted of a button down short sleeve top and matching shorts. He also found a comfortable pair of white cotton undies for Felix to wear.
“Good choice, baby~ Let’s get you dressed now, hm?”
Felix was very patient while Chan dressed him, only wiggling around a little bit. Chan was sure that the boy would usually be far more playful in his headspace, but the illness was certainly putting a damper on the little’s energy.
Once he was fully dressed, Felix let out a yawn and stretched his entire body out across the bed. “Daddy, light now…” He mumbled sleepily, using his hands to cover his eyes. “Then.. Snuggle night-night..”
Chan chuckled at the others cute requests and walked over to the lightswitch, flicking it off before joining Felix in the bed. He got comfortable right away, allowing Felix to move him around however he needed before the blond finally curled into his side and rested his cheek against Chan’s chest. The older man was glad that he could tell Felix’s fever was already going down, so he knew they would get a good uninterrupted nights rest.
“Good night, daddy…” Felix whispered as he nuzzled his face into Chan’s chest, his arm stretching over the man’s stomach. The blond’s thumb found its way right into his mouth, soothing the boy as he started to fall asleep.
Chan smiled softly and pulled the thin blanket up over them, kissing Felix’s head once more before closing his eyes. “Good night, baby~”
