Summary:

“Hello there, your highness.” Minghao said as he sat beside Jun in the cafeteria.

“You’re late." Jun pouts that made Minghao smile at him.

“I’m sorry, traffic was hell. How was Chemistry?”

“Like hell,”

Notes:

This is in direct response to x user @cheolsaegii's post

She made an excruciating JunHao fantasy angst edit and I respond with a Junhao fantasy angst 🤷🏻‍♀️ So this is for her!!

Title is the english translation of "Ako'y alipin ng pag-ibig mo" lyric from the song Bulong by December Avenue that was used in cheolsaegii's edit.

Work Text:

Jun looked straight at Minghao’s eyes. It was completely white save for his iris. They were on top of a building, Jun already forgot what building it was, just that he sensed Minghao’s presence on the rooftop for the first time in nearly a year of the latter hiding from Jun.

“Your highness, this will end tonight.” Jun scoffed at what Minghao said. One tear that Minghao disappeared and that was what the first thing that came out of his mouth.

And out of Jun’s willingness, a memory played back on his mind.

“Hello there, your highness.” Minghao said as he sat beside Jun in the cafeteria.

“You’re late." Jun pouts that made Minghao smile at him.

“I’m sorry, traffic was hell. How was Chemistry?”

“Like hell,”

It was a memory from their 3rd year of college, living in disguise as normal humans. They both did not know that one was a royalty of their realm and the other was tasked to travel Earth and hunt down the other.

“I miss the days when you said that endearment lovingly.” Jun said as his clothes slowly turned black, his ears slowly turning pointed and his body save for his face slowly turning pitch black. The image of royalty is clearly based on his looks.

“I can say that again as your parting gift.”

“Oh baby, I don’t think you understand what’s going on.” And that triggered a memory in Minghao’s mind.

They were in their school’s square, sitting on the grass while Jun was reading his book.

“I don’t really wanna go to class,” Minghao whined, he was tired of pretending to be a good student, he was going nowhere in his hunt and all he wanna do was lie there beside Jun and just stay there.

“Well, we have to graduate, don’t we? It’s the last semester, one last hurrah, baby.” Jun said as he smothered Minghao with tiny kisses all over his face.

It was one of the last happy memories they have together.

“It’s not my fault that we had come to this, your highness.” Minghao said with no emotion in his voice. His emotions were taken away from him the day he found out Jun was the lost prince of their realm. The prince that he was supposed to hunt down and kill on sight.

“No, it’s not.” Jun answered, his nails growing into a claw, his only defense against Minghao who was trained from childhood to fight and kill as the son of the leader of the rebellion.

Jun can understand why the rebellion had started, they were living in luxury and power while their people suffered in a year of famine and drought. Minghao’s father was once the supreme general of Jun’s father, a trusted confidant. But when General Xu voiced his worry for the poorer people of their realm, King Wen did what everybody thought was unthinkable. He banished General Xu and his family from the kingdom.

Jun was only 9 years old at that time, and Minghao 8.

“Why did your father do that?!” Minghao shouted in tears and snot ran down his face. They were in a field where they frequently met to play and talk.

“I don’t know, I don’t know. I’m sorry… p-please I’m sorry. D-don’t leave me, pl-please.” Junhui was crying as well as he knelt in front of Minghao, begging him to stay.

“WEN JUNHUI!” Minghao froze at the voice, it was Junhui’s mother. She yanked Junhui to stand up. “You’re the Crown Prince! You are not to kneel in front of a lower ranking nob- oh, you’re the son of General Xu.” Queen Wen stated, looking at Minghao up and down. “Weren’t you and your family banished from the kingdom?”

Queen Wen dragged Minghao back to the Castle ground and ordered him to be whipped 50 times with 10 tailed whip before he was dropped at the edge of the kingdom where his family was formerly dropped.

As years passed by, under King Wen’s nose, General Xu gained enough influence and people supporting him to orchestrate a swift coup of power. General Xu successfully became the King and rightfully treated the people of the kingdom. But Jun escaped the realm before the coup was initiated.

Jun was 19 when the coup happened, Minghao was 18 and already had 117 kill counts.

“I was tasked to hunt you down and you were right under my nose.” Minghao stated. “You did well of your for your disguise."

“And so have you. We were lovers for 3 years and not once have I sensed that the Myungho I love was Minghao.” Even before Jun could finish saying that, Minghao attacked him, aiming a powerful wind lance at his neck.

Jun, with his instinct as a dark elf royalty, blocked the spell with his arms. It cut through his sleeves and sliced his arms.

“Oh darling, don’t waste your precious precious blood.” Minghao mocked Queen Wen’s voice.

It was the year before the Xu family was banished, they went back to the palace grounds from playing outside. Junhui fell and laughed his wounds off even when Minghao worried about them.

“Oh my darling prince! Why are you wasting such precious blood!?” Queen Wen wailed as she saw Junhui’s palm and knees all scraped and covered with blood, she looked behind her son and saw an unscraped Minghao. “Did you push him?!”

Even before Minghao could answer, he was dragged back to his home and was punished severely by his father for not protecting the Crown Prince.

“Why are you dead set on killing me?” Jun asked as he stared at the slices in his arms. It was similar to the slices he made on himself on the inside of his arms.

“You are a product of a tyrant King and a vindictive Queen! Killing you will be a good measure that our realm will be living peacefully from now on.”

Jun dropped his hands to his side, his shoulder relaxed and his eyes softened at the sight in front of him. Minghao was crying.

“But why would you make me fall in love with you! Why would you be so kind to me!”

“Hi! My name is Myungho, Seo Myungho.” Jun was startled when a guy introduced himself to him out of nowhere.

Well, not out of nowhere, he was sitting in line to audition for their uni’s drama club. As a dark elf he would always be drawn to the arts and drama.

“Hi, I’m Jun, Moon Jun.” Jun smiled and offered his hand to shake. It was there that they slowly fell in love with each other.

Minghao was still crying, but his pretty face was still emotionless. It was like looking at a doll that has water pouring out of its eyes.

“Happy 1st anniversary, my love.” Jun said as he offered the roses he bought earlier to Myungho, they were at the latter’s apartment to celebrate their 1st anniversary.

“Thank you, your majesty. Happy anniversary too.” Myungho said tenderly as he accepted the roses and kissed Jun as a response.

“Just kill me, Hao. I know your father has placed a spell on you.”

“You have been there on Earth for almost 6 years and no results?!” Jun recognized that voice, but he could just not pinpoint whose voice it was.

“I’m sorry, Father. I am doing my best, Prince Wen is just hard to find.” It was Myungho.

“Find him, and kill him on sight, Minghao. He is not the same person you thought you knew years ago. He has grown and if my sources are to be trusted, and I know they are, he has grown to be just as vindictive as his mother and as cruel as his father.” Jun couldn’t see Myungho, or Minghao as he should call him now, but he could feel him nodding on his father.

He risked a look, and saw it was indeed Myungho conversing with a hologram of his father. A technology from their mother realm.

“I should have killed you last year.” Minghao callously stated, but tears are still running down his cheeks.

They were in a meadow similar to the field where they only had happy memories. Jun has forgotten why they were there, but Myungho just found out that he was Wen Junhui and was staring at him in disbelief.

“Just kill me, Hao.” Jun begged.

“No,” Minghao stepped back, disbelief visible in his eyes. “No, no, no, no.” He kept repeating those words as he stepped back. Jun did not dare move from where he is.

“Hao,” and before Jun could say another thing, Minghao disappeared right before his eyes, leaving just a black smoke from where he was standing.

“Regrets would do you nothing, my love.” In a blink, Jun had Minghao’s throat in his hand.

“I’m sorry, your highness. Let’s meet in the field of the afterworld.” Jun looked at Minghao in confusion, then he felt warm liquid on his stomach.

Minghao had grown his claws the same time as Jun was.

Jun released Minghao and stepped back, he tried stopping the blood but it was leaking around his hands. Black blood dripped everywhere as Jun dropped to the floor.

“See you there, my love.” Jun looked at Minghao’s face as he melted into black blood.

Minghao was smiling, with black tears still running down his face. And before Jun melted completely into black blood, he saw Minghao muttering a spell that had him bursting into black smoke.

“You’re still as dramatic as you once were.” Was Jun’s last words.
