“AND THAT IS WHY THE SUPERIOR GERMAN TEAM WILL WIN THE 2026 WORLD CUP AND THE ITALIAN TEAM WILL CONTINUE TO SUCK BUTT LIKE THE LOSERS THEY ARE HAHAHA!”
The laughter was abruptly cut off by an aggressive pausing of the video.
“What the actual fuck kind of stinky horse shit is this German bastard talking about?” The Southern Italian viewer scrunched up his nose. Though he has a face cam, you didn’t need it to hear the sheer disgust he expressed throughout every word he spouted.
He faced the live comments flooding in every millisecond, knowing that he wasn’t the only one who reacted this way.

The streamer in question, TomatoTomahto, let his grimace only grow when glancing at a few peculiar comments.
Also known by his first name Lovino, he ran a distressed hand through his side-parted brown hair and contemplated his past decisions. As a streamer, he ranges from doing “irl” streams in which he shows his fanbase that he actually steps outside, to video reactions and (very rarely) video games. In a couple of months it’ll be 4 years since he started this gig. He’s a fairly popular creator in the world of content creation with a couple of viral moments, having been invited to a few events and all, but it's nothing to marvel at. At the end of the day, his brother does pay most of the rent in their shared apartment thanks to whatever major company he works at.
Coming back to his senses, Lovino tore his hazel eyes away from the chat and back at the eyesore of a man on the screen in front of him. His brain instantly generating a million and one insults to call him as a response to the absolute crap he was hearing.
“Why the hell would you guys make me react to some shit like that?” Tomahto closed out the video distastefully, showcasing his computer background of an aesthetic picture of South Italy to calm him down for moments like these (it never worked.)
“Whatever, I don’t fucking care. Fucking German bastard doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Obviously he’s going to think that the shitty German team is better. At least our team doesn’t PAY OFF THE REFS, DUMBASSS” His voice got louder with irritation, showing that he obviously did care quite a lot. His frustration boiled over even more when he saw comments that denied the later accusation he made. “Mods, ban the guy who sent me that clip. Temporarily mute all the people who are disagreeing with me too.”
Lovino groaned and took a sip of his water, he’d been streaming for about 3 hours now so of course he needed a hydration break every now and then. He opened up youtube and proceeded to half-heartedly scroll through it while reading the chat in his head. Although, it was hard to engage with them when it seemed like they were all spamming the same thing:
“‘Xx_PREUSSEN_xX is live right now’? The jerk I just reacted to and absolutely hated? Okay, so?” He snorted. Brushing it off when he found a video he thought would be fun to react to, that was until he received a super donation.

TomatoTomahto choked on his water, “What?” He spat out before violently choking again, muttering a weak ‘Thanks for the donation’. His hand started to move faster than he could compose himself and next thing he knew, he was on that insufferable German’s livestream.
Fuck.
The first thing he noticed was a loud, broken cackle, “WHAT A SORE LOSER, IN WHAT WORLD WOULD THE GERMAN TEAM PAY OFF THE REFS?? STOP REFLECTING YA BUM.” The second thing he noticed was the starkingly white hair filling his field of vision when the man keeled over on his desk and repeatedly slammed his fist in a fit of deranged, uncontrollable laughter. “Chat, don't listen to this guy, he’s just a sorry Italian man who can’t accept the awesomeness of the German team.” The third thing he noticed was the ruby red irises as the streamer’s head was turned to what seemed to be a second monitor that displayed the full live chat. “They’re all still mad that they lost to B-B-BOSNIA.” And the fourth thing he noticed was how bad he wanted to punch this guy.
That inconsiderate comment made Lovino furious, it was almost comical how fast his face turned red if he wasn’t so pissed. Before he knew it, he leaned in close to his cheap microphone and began hurling insults and offensive remarks as fast as a drunk driver on a Saturday night. The German seemed to register that Lovino was also in his livestream sometime later and restarted his view of the Italian’s live to sync it with real time, and that’s how things truly spiraled out of control.
What started off as some comments to a dumb, pointless and miniscule opinion, flared up into a full-fledged debate that transcended across livestreams. The petty beef over soccer spread like wildfire, not only between the two respective communities, but also to other streamers and lovers of football. At some point, Xx_PREUSSEN_xX was just trolling which only got Lovino more mad. The Italian vaguely recalls words such as, “Sei un fottuto idiota”, “football is NOT a philosophy??” and some dumb German words from the other being thrown around. He couldn’t tell you confidently, he doesn’t really know all that was said since he was blinded by rage.
A quick glance between the time, 2:15 AM, and the amount of viewers he had, 645k (that was more than triple the amount he usually got on a good day) made him realize that he had enough for the night.
Over the loud “BLAH BLAH BLAH I CAN’T HEAR YOU.” From the German, Lovino exhaled, “Fuck this.”
Because of some stupid lag his computer has with his mouse, he has to press twice to end the live every time. With that being said, it took one swift double click of his mouse for Lovino to end his live immediately, leaving the white haired German to laugh to himself like the loner Lovino practically head cannoned him as. No, he isn’t projecting.
“Who do I look like wasting my time on some dumb, ignorant, demon-looking jerk like him?” Lovino shuts off his monitor and leaves his chair with a groan.
”This whole shit isn’t even going to be remembered tomorrow anyway.”
