51 years before the start of the Dynastic period, Nuwa had known that her time as a patron was nearly over. She decided to create a spirit in order to regulate human society, so she created me, the Huli Jing, the only fox spirit in China at the time. I grew into Nuwa’s most intelligent creation in those 5 decades. In my early years, I would help my cousins, the lineage of the Yellow Emperor, and therefore the lineage of Fuxi. One of them then created the first Dynasty, the Xia. I was very protective of this dynasty, until its end 500 years later. This is when the nine-headed pheasant was created, my younger sister. She was given the honorary name of Hu Ximei, that was the start of that ego that would end up being her end. She was different from her strategy-oriented sister, always living for luxury. She could definitely have been called a Nepo baby. Her and I were deemed the “two sisters of civilization” together. Since we were bored for most of the time, we met a young married woman that we became friends with. She would become known as Chang’e. Her husband was Hou Yi, and we helped in order to shoot down the extra suns. She ended up going to the moon, never to be seen again. This made me very angry, about to commit wrath. Nuwa, again, felt an era's end coming around, so in the mid 12th century of the BCE time. She created a Pipa made of pure Jing, that she cultivated into a spirit. This spirit seemed to soothe my anger with her soothing rhythm that revealed the truth. It was soon called the Pipa Jing, the youngest sister of the daughters of civilization. The king of Shang Di Xin had disrespected our mother, Nuwa, so Nuwa made a big plan. She called us to a mission, a mission that would be the biggest yet…
