Chapter Text

Preamble

We, the Monarchs of this land above the heavens, shall declare a new order following the signing of this document. The Tao, the Dharma, and the Shinto laws of purity shall be upheld by this new order. The laws that shall uphold these in this new order are as follows.

Article I: The Lunar Diet

Clause I: The Lunar Diet shall consist of officials elected by the populace of the moon. These officials shall allow themselves to be considered part of factions that the Monarchs lay out.

Clause II: The candidates for the diet are voted on by the faction leaders, which are part of the Council that will be discussed below. Any Lunar citizen voted on by these leaders shall be a candidate, but must be voted by the people in order to get in a position.

Clause III: These officials shall require a public vote via public referendums when any law shall be passed after justifying decisions to the public for both the affirmative and negative sides. This shall ensure all citizens are educated and active in our government, as the citizens represent the Tao.

Article II: Council of Monarchs

Clause I: Any individual who has divine claim to the moon, either through prior claims or worship, shall be allowed a seat in the Council.

Clause II: The council shall execute laws, create the factions, fund private agencies, and enforce the Tao across the nation.

Clause III: The individuals signing this document shall understand that they shall be part of this council following the signing of this constitution.

Article III: The Court of Tao

Clause I: The Court of Tao shall be led by a supreme judge. The Court will consist of a judge amount proportional to the populace of the current decade.

Clause II: They shall interpret laws on a case-by-case level, no matter what class in the hierarchy the individual or institution is. All in Lunar jurisdiction shall be held accountable to the law of the Lunar Diet and sent to the Court of Tao to do so. All of those brought to the Court of Tao shall defend their misconduct, explaining how their actions are in accordance with the Tao and the Dharma while keeping the Shinto rules of purity in consideration.

Article IV: Proclamations

Clause I: All rabbits that have lived on the moon at any point of their lifetime shall be given the rights of any other Lunarians, and shall not be used as a tool for forced labor. The Lunar Defense Corps shall stay, but shall become voluntary, rather than made up of involuntary laborers. Its new responsibilities will be to enforce laws and to protect the nation both internally and externally.

Clause II: All individuals who resided on the moon at any point in their lifetime prior to this signing, no matter their legal status with the old regime, shall be given citizenship.

Clause III: All borders shall be open to trade and tourism. This shall be in accordance with the Tao, as we shall be the most pure by example. Immigration must be open, but the rules for this shall be as the people decide.

Clause IV: The combinations of the three schools, which are Taoism, Buddhism, and Shinto, shall be respected as the official religion for this new republic.

Clause V: The Flag of The New Lunar Republic shall be as follows: A Navy Blue background, a dual taijitu that represents the Tao flowing with a blue “yin” to represents the oceans and a white “yang” to represent the purity of the moon, and a four pointed star at the white dot in the blue to represent the capital with its four original kingdoms.
