Summary:

Boring.

That was what Ryong Khalei would say whenever his ward asked him about his past. In his 2500 years of life, Ryong Khalei found the world to be mundane and boring. He did not expect anything interesting to happen to him and was just awaiting for the birth of his position's successor. That was why he didn't expect the arrival of his ward and her rambunctious friends to ask him to join their journey to the top of the tower. Nor did he expect that years later he would be loved romantically by a human and be with child, only to die by the hands of that same human.

However, Ryong Khalei didn't regret his decision to accompany his ward until the end of his life.
