Work Text:
Prussia was hiding in the supply closet. He didn’t want to go to the meeting. Why? Because everyone now knew that they were together. And people were going to ask questions, stare, and make him the main focus.
He was planning on staying there for the rest of the day until the door was flown open. Luckily the person that opened it was his boyfriend. Canada.
“Prussia, come on. We have to go to the meeting.”
“No.”
Canada sighed and rubbed his temples, “Why?”
“Everyone’s going to stare at us! And ask questions and it’s just going to be so awkward!”
Canada shook his head and dragged Prussia out of the closet, “You Germans and your feelings. Everything will be okay.”
“But what if it isn’t!”
“Then we’ll deal with it! As long as the Cold War or another 7 Years War happens again, we’ll be okay.”
“That is not all of the things I’m worried about, you know that?”
“Yes. Yes I do.”
“Then why are you forcing me to go?”
Canada stopped dragging him, turns out that they were in front of the doors, “Because. It is good for you. And I‘m not going in there alone.”
Prussia rolled his eyes, “Fine.” And he shoved open the doors.
Just like he expected, everyone went silent and stared at them.
Canada rolled his eyes, “You can stop staring now.”
At that everyone went back to doing whatever they were previously doing, not without giving a few looks at them first.
“They listened to you,” Prussia commented as he sat down.
“Well, like you said. I need to believe in myself.”
“You actually listened to that?”
“Of course I did! It was really sweet.”
Prussia blushed, “Sh-shut up.”
“I didn’t even say anything! You Germans and your feelings!”
Prussia chuckled, “You keep saying that.”
“I know, but it’s true. You guys get flustered so easily and you guys absolutely despise awkward situations.”
“W-well, they’re just so awkward! And it’s embarrassing also.”
Canada smiled at him, “Well, that’s kind of the point with them.”
And before the albino could respond, Germany called order to the room.
Prussia glanced around the room and slightly shrunk back when he met eyes with England, it wasn’t as bad as the one a few weeks ago, but it was still terrifying.
And even though America wasn’t flat out glaring at him, he still gave him dirty looks.
“Oh boy,” Prussia muttered to himself, “they still hate me.”
