Work Text:
So, Eddie was drunk at Hen's place.
Buck hadn't bothered asking what that had been about, he simply assumed they had a friendly hang out and Eddie needed to be driven home. Hen and Eddie had became a lot closer, Buck had learned to not be jealous about it, since it was something he could do nothing about.
He opened his car's door quickly and jumped into it. Hands grabbing the wheel like it was a life or death situation, which, it could have been. Hen had been painfully aware of the situation Buck and Eddie were in, which meant she could talk.
And even though Hen wasn't the type to do that, her being drunk with his secret was never safe.
A few months before, Buck had admitted to Maddie that she was right, that maybe Buck was into Eddie. The details that Buck did not think about was the fact that Maddie had became more than family with the 118.
Her husband was Chimney, with which she shared every single details on her life, including Buck's. And even though Chimney could, sometimes, hide a secret, he needed his best friend to know about it.
So, Hen and Karen ended up finding out without Buck having to tell them. That was fine. It was, really, as long as everybody were shutting up about it like Buck wanted them to.
He parked the car in front of Hen and Karen's house. It was late in the evening, cool air hitting his bare arms as he stepped out of the vehicle. He walked to the door, and didn't even bother knocking. He simply walked in.
This was some unspoken thing the whole family had agreed on, except for Ravi and May who had been caught by Harry once. Anybody could walk into anyone's house. It was a little weird at first, walking into Athena's house without having to send a text first, or not having to knock when he was going to Maddie's house to babysit.
"We're in here, Buckaroo!" Hen called out, voice a little too bubbly for her to sober. He sighed with a smile and walked into the room to meet not only the eyes of a very drunk, and blushing, Eddie, but also the eyes of his sister, of the woman who was his mother figure, of his almost step-sister, and of Hen and Karen.
This was wine night. Buck realised that almost instantly.
Since when did Eddie came to those nights?
"Wow," Buck said, voice low as he looked around the room. A few empty bottles of wine were laid on the floor, a few were opened on the table and each of the people in this room had a glass in their hands.
"Hi, Evan," Maddie said, sweetly with a smile that directly made him smile. His smile went back to Eddie, who was looking up at him with his mouth opened a little, a smile tugging on his lips.
"What are you doing here, son?" Athena said and Buck's heart warmed instantly, looking up. She never really called him son, except for when she was drunk. Maybe it was kind of a taboo topic, Buck being that kind of person to her while she already had two perfect children.
Buck didn't know, he only knew that Athena was only calling him that when she was drunk, which didn't bother Buck at all.
"Eddie called and asked to drive him home," Buck answered, putting his hand on Eddie's chair as this one's head hit the back of Buck's hand. Buck looked down at Eddie with a smile, this one was still staring. His cheeks burning pink, dimples screwed into his face. He looked a little high, if Buck was honest. "Is he okay?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at the girls.
May laughed almost instantly, covering her mouth. "Yeah," She nodded and Buck tilted his head, amused.
"Why is he invited to wine night and not me?" Buck asked and Maddie rolled her eyes.
"Because you're my brother, Athena's adopted boy, May's sorta brother and Eddie's.." She trailed off, thinking. "Whatever." Buck frowned at that, a smile still on his lips.
It had been a long time since he saw his sister wasted like that. The last time he did, it was last Christmas when Chimney and her had a bet going on. Chimney bet her he could hold his alcohol better than her, she accepted the challenge, and won.
And yes, he was deciding to ignore the fact that he was "Eddie's whatever".
"Buck," The voice was soft but Buck could still recognise it between millions, his eyes fell back to Eddie's face. His cheek was resting on the back of Buck's hand, and it looked like he hadn't torn his eyes away from Buck since he walked in. HIs smile had grown a little tired.
Buck was fine.
"Can we go home?" He asked, voice still as soft. "I wanna see Theo and Chris," He looked down at Eddie's hand, a glass almost full of wine in it. How cute. He leaned down to grab the glass, nodding slightly.
"Yep, let's get you home, Eds." He answered, voice low as he grabbed the glass to put it on the table in front of him. Eddie's eyes followed each movements, like he was a little in awe. Again, Buck decided to ignore that, otherwise his delusions would go a little crazy.
"Oh this is painful." Athena commented and Buck raised an eyebrow at her.
"Right? And somehow they're both unaware.." May answered her mother and Buck shook his head realising what they were talking about.
"Oh, trust me, Buck does." Maddie answered, sipping in her glass and Buck's eyes shot at her. She opened her eyes wide, pressing her lips into a line. "Sorry."
"Huh?" Eddie's back straightened. "What does that-"
"Nothing." Buck answered, shaking his head as he pat Eddie's shoulder. Eddie slowly rose from his feet under the eyes of very silent women "It doesn't mean anything, it means she's wasted." He continued and Eddie blew air, a little annoyed, wrapping his arm around Buck's neck to keep himself from falling.
"You never tell me things," He said and Buck frowned, wrapping his arm around Eddie's waist. Oh, he's wasted wasted. He waved the girls good bye as he started walking out of the room. "Text me everything." Eddie exclaimed before they were too far from the living room.
"Says you, since when do you go to wine nights?" Buck asked, opening the door for Eddie to get out of the house. Eddie did as Buck wanted. He kind of always did, Buck noticed.
"Few months.." Eddie sighed, eyes shutting as he frowned. "Maybe more?" He shrugged and Buck shook his head, a small smile crawling on his face.
"You're ridiculous," Buck muttered, walking him to the jeep slowly. "What do you guys even talk about?" His eyes fell to Eddie's face, his little frown suddenly turned into a shy smile.
"Depends," He said, barely audible. Buck opened the passenger's door, letting Eddie get in. "Sometimes we make fun of you guys," He said, letting his head fall on the back seat and Buck chuckled at that, helping Eddie attach his belt. Eddie frowned, a grimace growing on his face. "I now know things about my colleagues I never wanted to know," He continued, huffing a little and Buck chuckled, closing the door.
He walked around the car, getting into the driver's seat as Eddie continued to talk as soon as the blond got into his seat.
"We talk about Chim, Ravi, Bobby.." He sighed. "You." Buck's eyes raised themselves to meet Eddie's. Eddie's head had turned to look at Buck again. His face was flushed in a pink colour Buck knew all too well.
A loose strand of hair falling on his forehead as he stared at Buck like- Like he was everything. God, Buck needed to get a grip.
"What do you say about me? Nothing bad, I hope." Buck joked and Eddie shook his head, frowning.
"I could never say anything bad about you, Buck." He whispered, like it was secret and Buck's breath caught.
"Oh." He swallowed, hard. "That's nice." He continued, starting the car.
"Yeah." Eddie nodded, a little smile on his lips. "May and 'thena do call you dumb, and Maddie doesn't really defend you either.." Buck snorted at that. He wasn't really waiting for anything else but that from his family anyway. "Hen does though," He frowned then and Buck smiled. "Does she know something I don't, Buck?" He asked, a little pout on his lips that made Buck want to kiss him. Buck didn't answer this time and drove away from Hen's place.
His phone lit up with notifications while he was driving, he waited for a light to turn red to check them. He stole a glance at Eddie, who was resting his head against the window, breathing deeply and looking at the street lights. His eyes went back on his phone.

He smiled at the texts. Maddie was really one of a kind. He swiped the notifications away, looking back at Eddie for a few seconds.
"You feeling okay, Eds?" He asked, a hand leaving the steering wheel to hold onto his shoulder. Eddie's eyes traveled from outside the window to Buck's face. He nodded with a small smile.
"I miss Theo and Chris," He answered. Buck couldn't stop himself from smiling at that. Eddie had been helping him so much with Theo, and when Buck wanted to thank him for it, Eddie always refused them. He loved Theo like he was his own, Buck was forever grateful for that. "I always miss them," He grunted as an answer. "Missing one kid was already hard, now I've got two kids to miss." Eddie frowned, pouting as he let his head hit his seat again.
"I woke Chris up before picking you up, he's watching over a very sleepy Theo right now," Buck answered. It probably wasn't what Eddie wanted Buck to say, but this was all Buck could think of saying. He knew that because Eddie was pouting now, which made Buck smile even wider. "You'll kiss Theo good night anyway, won't you?" He asked and Eddie replaced his pout by a smile, nodding. "Thought so." Buck looked back at the road. He could still feel Eddie's eyes on him, and it felt like a prison. He watched his movements, tried not to move much and tried to not look at his best friend.
"What's your hair colour.." Eddie asked and Buck frowned, turning his head towards his friend with an amused look. "You're not blond but you're too blond to be a brunette.. It's so confusing." Eddie shook his head, passing a hand on his face while groaning of annoyance.
"Oh well, my apologies, Mister Diaz," Eddie's head turned towards Buck almost directly. "I don't really know either." He shrugged and stole a glance at Eddie, long enough to die at the sight. Eddie wet his bottom lip, looking directly at Buck. Wow. "You could just say any colour, I don't mind.." Buck answered, turning his head back at the road.
They weren't far from Eddie's place now and thank god for that.
"Pink," Eddie told him. "Your hair's gonna be pink from now on." He continued, his forehead hitting the window as he watched the street through it.
Buck tried not to smile, shaking his head and taking a final turn to get home. Eddie gasped, pointing at something.
"Oh my God, Buck," Eddie smiled wide." That's the neighbour's cat," Buck slowed in the street. "It's not home, we should get it back to Lisa." Eddie nodded to himself. It was the neighbour's cat, in that same neighbour's garden, so that cat was safe.
"Sirius will be fine, Eds." He answered, parking right in front of the house. "Don't leave the car, I'm coming." Buck ordered and Eddie nodded, looking back at Buck with a slight smile. The whole situation was a lot weirder than Buck had planned.
He jumped out of the car, passing around it to open Eddie's door and help him get out of it.
"C'mon, Eds." Buck asked, handing him his hand and Eddie gasped, an enormous smile on his lips.
"Gentleman." He muttered under his breath. Buck tried not to laugh at that, and helped Eddie get out of the car. He closed the door once Eddie was out. "Fuck, you're big." Eddie whined when Buck wrapped Eddie's arm around his neck.
That wasn't sexual, Buck. Get your mind out of the gutter.
"Ugh, Buck?" Eddie groaned when they started walking. C'mon, the door's five feet away from us. Buck turned his head slightly. "I don't wanna walk anymore," He wanted before letting his legs go.
"Fuck," Buck swore under his breath, catching him before he fell lower than he already did. "What's your problem, man?" Buck chuckled. It was a little funny, he had to admit that.
"Buck," Eddie said again and Buck rolled his eyes.
"What?" He asked.
"Carry me," He asked back and Buck froze. What?
"What?" His thought came out of his mouth. He probably had heard wrong. Why would Eddie ask him that? It made no sense, right?
"Carry me, Buck." Eddie whined and Buck shook his head, trying to keep his train of thoughts clear. He looked down at Eddie, this one was smiling. Holy shit, he was drunk as fuck. "Princess style." He added and wow, okay, that was not a normal thing Eddie did to Buck when he was drunk.
"Eds-"
"Buck.." Eddie whined. If Buck was totally honest, he wouldn't have been surprised to see him stomp his feet too. He didn't but damn.
"Alright, alright," Buck sighed. He slipped his hand behind Eddie's knee then raised him up from the floor. A little Oh! left Eddie's mouth but Buck didn't dare actually acknowledging it. "Happy now?" He asked, walking towards the door and Eddie nodded, wrapping his arms around Buck's neck.
Oh, fuck.
Eddie had always been a touchy guy when he was drunk, but this was worse than usual. Usually, Eddie would simply lean into Buck, let his head rest on Buck's shoulder, hug him a little sometimes. That was always making Buck want to die a little so this? That was new.
"Mhm," Eddie hummed as Buck stopped in front of the door, a hand leaving Eddie's back to grab the keys in his pocket. Buck was a firefighter, it wasn't surprising he could hold Eddie with a single arm under his knee, and yet- "Holy shit," Eddie whispered, face pressing against Buck's shoulder. "I'm a princess."
Buck opened the door slowly, chuckling. "Sure, Eds."
"I'm your princess," Eddie added as Buck closed the door behind them. He couldn't help himself but smile at the words Eddie had chosen. "Hi, Chris," He greeted and Buck froze. Fuck. He turned his head slowly to meet Christopher's eyes. This one had his eyes wide opened, a shocked smile on his face.
"Chris-"
"Chris, come kiss me good night." Eddie cut Buck off and Christopher nodded, still trying not to laugh. He walked to Eddie as Buck lowered him. Chris kissed Eddie's forehead.
"Good night, dad." He said, then looked up at Buck. "I'm going to sleep, Theo's already asleep so please don't make a lot of noises." He asked before leaving.
"Chris, we're not-" Was all Buck could say before Christopher left the room. "Ugh." He groaned and then his whole body froze. He felt a hand in his hair suddenly, he tilted his head a little to see Eddie. This was definitely not the type of physical touch Eddie usually gave Buck.
"You're my Rhys," Eddie whispered and Buck chuckled.
"From Twisted Games?" He asked while walking towards the couch.
"No, no!" Eddie stopped him. Rhys who then? "I wanna kiss Theo good night," Eddie asked and Buck sighed. Fuck his life, Eddie was adorable when he was drunk. When Buck went to put him down, Eddie groaned again. "No, carry me to him." Eddie ordered.
And who was Buck to refuse?
"And yes, Rhys from Twisted Games." Eddie answered as Buck straightened his back, placing Eddie correctly in his arms. "You're the Rhys to my Bridget." Buck's face froze at that sentence, he looked down at Eddie's face.
Eddie didn't seem to be shocked by what he was saying, or shy about it either. He seemed fully aware of its meaning, and yet, he seemed to not care even a little about it. Bridget was a princess, and Rhys was her bodyguard. If you hadn't read Twisted Games, Eddie comparing them to Rhys and Bridget wouldn't mean much.
But Buck had read it, and not only did Rhys and Bridget end up together, after fucking together a few times, on the throne as well, but Rhys and Bridget changed fundamental laws of their country just to be able to get married.
Buck continued to walk, trying not to think of it too much.
"Except you don't have scars all over your back," Eddie nodded, whispering when he saw they were getting closer to Theo's bedroom. "You don't, right?" He frowned, looking up at Buck with a worried look and Buck couldn't help himself but smile.
"I have some," He shrugged. "But that's just because we risk our lives everyday, so scars are a package deal." He continued, pushing Theo's door open slowly. He signed Eddie to be quiet as he walked Eddie to the bed. "I don't have as much scars though." He whispered, low enough for Theo not to wake up.
He lowered Eddie to Theo's bed, sitting him down slowly.
He watched. He watched as Eddie stroke Theo's hair softly, putting his hair out of his mouth. Theo's hair were getting long, but he hadn't complained to Buck about it yet, so he didn't really know if he had to go get it cut. Eddie's hand passed slowly on Theo's cheek, and Buck's eyes went from Theo's peaceful face to Eddie.
It was visible that Eddie was still very much drunk, but what Buck saw the most at that moment hadn't been the flush of his cheeks or his alcohol breath. No, what Buck saw at that moment was the love, pure love Eddie had for Theo.
He leaned down, pressing a kiss to Theo's forehead and breathing into his hair for a few seconds before pulling away with a small smile. It was a sight for sore eyes.
Buck tilted his head without even realising, turning his smile upside down. He didn't even get the chance to stop the water from coming up to his eyes. When he realised, it was too late. A tear had fallen on his cheek. So he sniffled, straightening his body and swiping the tear away from his face. He pat Eddie on the shoulder softly, just to tell him it was time to leave Theo alone and Eddie simply nodded, turning his face towards Buck.
Their eyes met and Eddie's smile suddenly got wider. He raised his hands to Buck's height, and waited. His cheek were still coloured pink, his eyes a little tired. He wanted Buck to carry him again. Okay, yeah, sure. Whatever. Buck let out a breath before grabbing Eddie by the waist and quickly spinning him into the same position they were before.
They moved to the door slowly, Eddie grabbing the edge of it to push it close. Buck's eyes traveled Eddie's face again and oh my god, Eddie was the prettiest human to ever exist.
He walked into the hallway, eyes leaving Eddie's to watch where they were going.
"Buck?" Eddie whispered, face pressing into the dip of Buck's shoulder. "Did you ever think about kissing me?" He asked, softly and it took a moment for Buck to realise and understand what his best friend had asked him.
And Buck- Buck didn't like to lie, not to Eddie, at least.
Buck had thought about kissing his best friend many many times. The fact that Buck was in love with him didn't really help his case either.
What wasn't helping him think right now was the way Eddie was looking at him. Eddie was looking up at Buck, hands resting on Buck's neck again, and his eyes- his eyes were looking into Buck's like Eddie was-
"Buck." Eddie asked again, voice low.
He was looking at Buck like he wanted the answer to be yes. Buck wasn't dumb, Eddie was a straight man. He couldn't be feeling this way, this was something he shouldn't have been feeling. He didn't have the right to hope for Eddie to magically change sexuality.
"Why are you asking?" Buck asked back, lower as his steps echoed down the hall to Eddie's room. Eddie sighed a little, looking down, and away from Buck.
"Why aren't you answering?" He muttered and Buck closed his eyes for a mini second, just simply praying for god, or whoever was up there, to just give him strength. "You always do that." Eddie added before letting his hands fall from Buck's neck. Buck frowned at that, clenching his jaw.
"Wrap them back up." The words left Buck's mouth before he could know it. It sounded like order, Buck was fully aware of it. It was, he also knew that. He didn't really know what took over him, what possessed him to say something like that to his best friend.
Eddie looked up, eyes wide and Buck froze. He stood there, in the middle of the room, not very far from Eddie's bedroom. The goal had been to put Eddie to sleep, and it had failed on so many levels.
Buck looked straight ahead, he couldn't dare look at Eddie after that. He could feel his best friend's eyes on him though, they were piercing and that was all Buck needed to know to not look down.
Eddie's hands moved slowly. Buck could feel the palm of Eddie's hands, cold even through the fabric, against his chest. They swiftly rose to his shoulders, squeezing them like reassurance Buck shouldn't be needing. Eddie ended up resting them around Buck's neck, back where they were before, back to where they belonged.
"Okay." Eddie answered, in a tone of voice Buck couldn't let himself think about too much.
"Okay. Buck repeated, voice low as he started walking again. He didn't look back down. He walked to the door, pushing it open as he stepped in, Eddie still staring up at him.
He leaned towards the bed slowly, sitting up on the edge of it and trying to put Eddie on it in a way that wouldn't be too much. He took his hands off of Eddie's back and knee, trying to raise his upper body again. The small problem that stopped that was Eddie's hands, still around Buck's neck.
They were mere inches apart. It would take Buck less than a second to lean back in and kiss Eddie senseless. He'd kiss Eddie so good, he'd touch him like Eddie deserved to be touch. He'd kiss him until Eddie was moaning against his lips, grabbing onto Buck and asking for more-
Eddie was drunk.
Buck needed to remind himself that.
"You gotta let me go, Eds." Buck said, voice low. Eddie's eyes traveled on his face before it did the thing that fucked with Buck's brain. Eddie's eyes lowered, but it didn't lower to look at Buck's nose or chin or cheeks. No, Eddie was staring at Buck's lips.
Buck was going to hell.
"Buck," Eddie's voice cracked, pulling him closer as Buck almost fell on the bed. His hands fell forward to keep himself off of Eddie's body. His left hand rested beside Eddie's waist, pressing onto the mattress. His right hand fell next to Eddie's face, gripping onto the mattress. Fuck.
Someone up there must hate him, right? There was no way this was happening. He took a deep breath, closing his eyes to focus on his breathing.
Buck couldn't focus on his breathing though. He couldn't focus on his breathing when Eddie's hands had shifted place, slowly moving from Buck's neck to his waist. He grabbed Buck's t-shirt, slowly raising it as Buck's breath hitched.
Hold back, hold back, hold back.
Eddie was drunk, Buck couldn't do, think or say anything right now.
"Buck." Eddie's voice came out low, but certain as he pulled Buck closer to him. And Buck might be strong, but Eddie was also strong. They were both firefighters. So Buck's arm couldn't help but go a little weak. Fuck, fuck, fuck.
As soon as Buck was lower, almost touching Eddie, he felt something on his throat. He swallowed, hard, because he knew what that was. He had never felt Eddie's lips anywhere on him before, but he could still recognises lips on his throat.
"Eddie-"
"Shut up." Eddie mumbled, leaving soft kisses to Buck's skin. Buck pressed his lips together, frowning to stop himself from doing anything. Fuck his life. "Don't ruin this for me."
So, Eddie wasn't that straight apparently. Good to know, Buck thought. Good to know for sober Eddie.
"Eddie." His voice came out pleading. Fuck, this wasn't the way he wanted to say it. A little gasp got out of his mouth when Eddie started leaving open mouth kisses to Buck's throat, sucking the skin into his mouth like it belonged there. Maybe it did.
"I've noticed, you know." Eddie whispered against Buck's skin. "Ever since you broke up with-" He groaned, annoyed. "Him." He continued, biting into Buck's skin before going back to kissing his throat. "You've been looking, and Buck-"
"Eddie." Buck breathed out, holding his eyes close and hard. Fuck, he could die here. Buck was fine with the idea of dying here.
"Buck, I look too." He added, and Buck pressed his lips into a line, frowning as Eddie's hands move to the small of his back. This was like a wake up call, a little. Buck groaned, annoyed at himself as he forced himself to pull away from Eddie. "Buck." Eddie whined.
"Eddie, I can't-" Buck answered, breath a little uneven. "We can't-"
"You don't want me?" Eddie asked, his tired eyes turning glassy very fast. Buck shook his head, cupping Eddie face into his hands. Fuck.
"I do, I do. God, Eds, I really want you. I want every part of you." Buck answered, fast, hitting his forehead against Eddie's. "Fuck, I really do." He whispered. "You're drunk, Eddie. I can't- We can't-" Buck couldn't finish his sentence, it felt surreal. "Not while you're drunk."
"Get drunk too, it'll be okay if we're both drunk." Eddie nodded, pulling Buck closer to kiss him. Buck hissed, turning his head sideways. Fucking hell.
"Tomorrow," He said and Eddie hummed something under his breath. "I swear. Tomorrow, if you wake up tomorrow and remember this, come to me and we'll talk and-"
"I don't wanna talk, Buck, I want you to fuck me." Eddie's voice wasn't loud but it still echoed in Buck's brain. Eddie wanted Buck to fuck him. That was okay, Buck was okay. Eddie was a bottom.
"Fuck, Eddie. You can't just say that." Buck whispered, hiding his mouth with his hand. Eddie's hands left Buck's t-shirt to go grab onto his thighs.
"I can, I am." He answered, getting his hands closer to Buck's very visible bulge.
"Fuck, Eddie." Buck said, suddenly standing up and taking a step back. Eddie looked up at him with a pout. "You're drunk, we can't-" He started and Eddie sat up on the bed, crawling slowly towards Buck. God was so testing him right now. "I really wish you were sober." Buck muttered as Eddie sat at the edge of the bed.
"Pretend I am." Eddie's voice sounded like honey. "Pretend I'm sober, and fuck me." He continued and Buck swallowed hard, the heat of all of his body redirecting itself towards his dick. "Fuck me until I can't think straight, fuck me until I forget my own name, fuck me until the whole neighbourhood knows how to spell your full name-"
"Eddie." Buck groaned and Eddie smiled. He passed a hand on his face, trying to focus on other things than Eddie being hot in the bed or his dick being hard as a brick.
"Hm," Eddie nodded, wearing a smirk on his face. "You'd like that, wouldn't you?" He asked. "You want everyone to know I'm yours. You'd fuck me exactly like I said you would too. You'd probably throw me around the room. You're big, I don't doubt you can." Eddie sweet-talked, biting down his lips. "You're already big, I wonder how big your cock is." He said, dropping his knees onto the floor as Buck took a step back.
Fuck his life. Now, Buck needed to focus even more. He should think of sad things, he really should. But all he was seeing right now was Eddie on his knees, obviously hard in his jeans, flushed from head to toe.
"I'd take you so well, Buck." Eddie said, voice low as he let his hands hit the floor. He started crawling again, towards Buck as this one took a step back. "I'd suck your cock until my dentist can recognise you by the bruises you left in my mouth. I'd be so good for you, I'd let you fuck my mouth until you come and I'd swallow your load like the good boy that I am." Eddie whined, sitting down once he was in front of Buck.
"Eddie, you're-"
"If you say drunk one more time, I'm gonna jerk off in front of you." Eddie said, voice a little louder and Buck really worried the kids would hear.
"Don't." Buck begged and Eddie nodded.
"I won't. I told you, I'm a good boy." He answered, tilting his head. "Tell me I'm a good boy, Buck." He asked but it really sounded more like an order. Oh fuck, Buck was fucked.
"Eddie-"
"Tell me I'm a good boy, Buck." Eddie repeated, voice a little louder and Buck grimaced. Fuck, Eddie was loud.
"You're-" Buck started but he felt heat growing in his pants a little more than usually. "You're a good boy, Eddie." He finally said, legs shaking. Eddie bit down his lips and Buck swallowed hard. Eddie was genuinely the prettiest person Buck had ever seen. "You'd be good for me, Eds. You'd be so good for me." Buck groaned, throwing his head back to look anywhere else but at Eddie.
"Look at me, Buck." Eddie ordered and Buck couldn't really help himself. He looked down and Eddie smiled at that. "Look me in the eyes, and tell me you don't want to fuck me right now, and I'll leave you alone." He added and Buck closed his eyes.
He really wanted to fuck Eddie.
"You know I do," Buck whined. "I really do, but we can't-"
"Because I'm drunk?" Eddie asked, voice soft and Buck nodded, not feeling confident enough to use his voice. Eddie let out a breath while standing back up. He looked at Buck with a warm smile. "It's okay, baby." Eddie's voice came out as soft as it did back in Hen's house.
The nickname made him froze for a minute as Eddie leaned towards Buck. His lips came in contact with Buck's cheek, leaving a soft kiss there before turning around and letting himself fall on the bed.
"That's-" Buck's voice cracked. Eddie was giving up on it. Eddie was drunk but he was giving up on wanting Buck to fuck him.
"I'm not giving up on you fucking me," Eddie answered Buck's thoughts. "I'll just beg tomorrow too." He groaned, a noise of fatigue Buck assumed.
"Why?" Buck frowned, confused and, if he was honest, a little curious.
"Because we're meant to be, Buck." Eddie breathed. "We're soulmates," He shrugged, turning for his back to face Buck. "We're destined to be with each other." He finally said, muttering the few last words.
Buck assumed Eddie had fallen asleep.
--
When Buck woke up, he was laying on the couch. He groaned as his turning his body to sit up correctly, pushing his head in his hands.
He had made a weird dream.
"I don't wanna talk, Buck, I want you to fuck me."
"Pretend I'm sober, and fuck me."
"Fuck me until I can't think straight, fuck me until I forget my own name, fuck me until the whole neighbourhood knows how to spell your full name-"
"You're already big, I wonder how big your cock is."
"I'd take you so well, Buck."
"I'd be so good for you, I'd let you fuck my mouth until you come and I'd swallow your load like the good boy that I am."
"Tell me I'm a good boy, Buck."
"Because we're meant to be, Buck. We're soulmates. We're destined to be with each other."
Right. So, it hadn't been a dream. Buck was relieved and also, he was going crazy. This couldn't have happened, right? Eddie was supposed to be straight. Eddie was straight. He was, right?
He groaned, remembering every single details of the night before. Eddie's lips on the skin of his throat, touching him in such a softly way until it wasn't. Eddie then got hungry for Buck, and Buck opened his eyes wide, standing up suddenly.
His eyes were unfocused as he walked towards the bathroom. He stood in the middle of the room for a few moments. He only had to look up to meet his own reflection in the mirror, but Buck was scared.
How did he look? Did he look devastated? To be fair, Buck hadn't slept much, so it'd be okay if he hadn't looked good.
He let out a breath before looking up from the floor to the mirror. Fuck. He blinked a few times, trying to see if those hickeys were simple illusions. They weren't. Good to know that Buck wasn't going completely crazy.
His hand came up to touch the red marks, he hissed as soon as the contact was made. Eddie had left hickeys on Buck. Eddie had marked Buck as his yesterday night, while drunk. Eddie had marked Buck with his lips and tongue and teeth last night.
Buck swallowed hard, pressing a hand against the spots to hide it. He looked at himself in the mirror again, instead of looking at marks, his eyes met his own reflection again.
He was fine. He was going to be fine. He was going to be fine because Eddie had been drunk, which means Eddie probably wouldn't even remember what he did last night. Buck was going to be fine because as much as he believed the drunken actions means sober thoughts that might not have been the case here.
There was still a chance Eddie was straight. It wouldn't be ridiculous. Just because he had been a little, a lot, touchy last night didn't mean he wasn't straight. Eddie was straight, Buck was sixty seven percent sure of it now, but that was still a high percentage, right?
He tried to forget about it.
He started cleaning a little. He was aware that cleaning in a house that wasn't totally his was a little weird. Sure, he had been living there since Eddie had came back from Texas, and sure, Theo had the guest room turned into his but that didn't mean much.
He went to the kitchen, trying to forget about it, about it all. It was early in the morning, but Buck knew the habits of the people living in that house now.
Christopher liked his pancake freshly made, but not too hot. Theo didn't like pancakes, for now. Buck needed to cook some scrambled eggs instead, Theo had shared how it had been the breakfast he had been having when his parents were still here.
Eddie was a little different. He had a smoothie in the morning, pancakes and few fruits on the side. Buck groaned when he realised, they didn't have any fruits. Buck knew that because the bowl that was usually filled with fruit, standing perfectly next to the fridge, was completely empty.
He sighed, shaking his head. It was probably too early to go shopping for some too. Oh well. Thank God, Buck had prepared everything for Eddie's smoothies ahead.
"Hit a cabinet or something?" Buck flinched at the noise. Fuck, that was scary. He turned to find Eddie in the entry of the kitchen looking down at his throat.
Oh.
Oh.
Eddie didn't remember the night before, like at all. Buck studied Eddie's face for a second. His voice had been cracking, he had bags under his eyes like he had barely slept and his hair was a mess. Eddie Diaz had never looked so good.
"Morning," Buck said instead of answering. His best friend yawned, looking away from Buck as he hid his mouth.
"I feel like I got run over." Eddie complained, frowning as he walked towards the coffee maker.
"I bet." Buck chuckled. Right, so everything was back to normal now. For sure. Buck was fine with that, why wouldn't he be? "How d'you sleep?" He was going to continue pretending he was fine. Not even pretending, Buck was fine.
"Ugh, stop screaming-" Eddie groaned, taking his mug to his mouth then froze. When Buck didn't get an answer, he turned his head to meet Eddie's eyes. Eddie was standing very still, eyes opened wide, looking away, and his mouth a little opened, hot coffee still in the mug he had against his bottom lip.
"You okay, Eds? You seem a little-" Buck frowned, taking a step closer. Eddie's eyes raised themselves to look at Buck's face. Realisation hit Buck in the face like the tsunami fucking did, because he saw Eddie's eyes and- Eddie knew. Eddie was remembering everything.
"I asked you to fuck me last night." Eddie muttered against his mug and Buck swallowed hard. Okay, Eddie wasn't supposed to remember that. It was okay though, because Eddie was drunk so he could take it back.
"You were drunk and-" Buck took a step back, a little panicked. He didn't know how Eddie was going to react. Was he going to be mad? Disgusted? Sad?
"You didn't hit the top cabinet." He added, pointing at the red mark on Buck's throat. "I did that, didn't I?" Eddie frowned, putting his mug down as Buck looked away. Yeah, he did. "Oh my God, I did." Eddie shook his head, looking down.
"Look, Eds. It's fine, okay?" Buck started, cracking an egg into a bowl to start preparing Theo's scrambled eggs. He needed to be doing something to distract himself from the conversation. He needed to do anything but look at Eddie right now. He needed to do anything but think about the way the events of last night could possibly ruin their friendship in the worst way possible. "I know you're straight and-"
"I'm not." Eddie shook his head, sounding like it was a simple fact that didn't have anything to do with the situation. It did though, to Buck it did. If Eddie wasn't straight, that meant wha Eddie had said last night had meaning. Who was Buck bullshitting anyway? Drunk actions and words were sober thoughts. "You wanted to." Eddie gasped a little, looking slightly up, having to look through his lashes to meet Buck's eyes. Oh, fuck.
"Look me in the eyes, and tell me you don't want to fuck me right now, and I'll leave you alone."
"You know I do. I really do, but we can't-"
He did say that. Buck had had a moment of weakness and had confessed to that last night. Fuck, what else had Buck said? He tried remembering, but his brain was fried. The panicked passed through his whole body, this was either going to be the best day of his life or the worst to ever exist.
"You said that I'd be good for you," Eddie continued, taking a step towards Buck as Buck cracked another egg into the bowl. His hands were shaking, scared and confused about the situation of it all. What was Eddie doing? Buck didn't know. Did he want to know? He didn't know if he wanted to know if he was totally honest. If Buck could, he would just make them go back to the way they were back at Hen's house. They were cute and nice to each other, soft in a way Buck had been craving since always.
"Okay, wow. For my defence, you asked me to say it." Buck said, voice low then gulped, looking down at the eggs. Not helping even a little bit, because Buck had been hard back then. He remembered that because he could still feel Eddie's hand on his past bulge.
"No, I told you to tell me something else." Eddie corrected. "You added that after." He was mere inches away from Buck when Buck cracked the third egg into the bowl. Fuck, Buck did add that after."Buck," He said, almost like a whisper as Buck's eyes lagged a little. He cracked the last egg into the bowl, taking a deep breath. That sounded unholy. "Do you want to fuck me, Buckley?" Eddie asked, leaning against the counter next to Buck.
Buck choked on air, hitting his chest as if it were to help. Eddie Diaz was a crazy motherfucker, and Buck didn't even know it. "Chris' gonna wake up soon-" He took a step away, searching for a fork to mix the eggs together. Focus, focus, focus.
"Not what I asked." Eddie answered and Buck rolled his eyes, annoyed this time. Why was Eddie asking so much questions? It was too early in the morning to ask that many questions. Buck's brain never worked really well in the morning, right after his best friend had left hickeys on him, a touched his dick through his pants and-
"Do you?" Buck turned, meeting Eddie's eyes only to see his whole face shining. Oh. He was wearing a smile, an amused smile. Oh. Eddie was... into that. "What are you-" Buck asked as Eddie took a step towards him. Oh, fuck, Buck wasn't ready for that crisis.
Buck had been in love with Eddie for years. Years of him being in love with his best friend and shoving it deep down in a hole nobody could ever find it, because Eddie was straight. Eddie wasn't straight, Eddie wasn't straight and he was taking a lot of steps closer to Buck. Getting closer to Buck while asking him, his best friend of almost a decade, if he wanted to fuck him.
"Do you, Buck?" Eddie frowned, tilting his head as a smile pushed on his lips. Okay, okay. Eddie was currently flirting with Buck. That was normal. It wasn't. It really was out of the ordinary for Eddie to flirt with Buck.
Eddie had only done that once. Eddie had only flirted with Buck once. They had been drunk, the both of them, and a girl had started hitting on Buck at the bar. Not that Buck wasn't interested, but it hadn't been a night for Buck to find love, or sex. He had sent a text to Eddie, asking him to come and get him because he didn't want to be rude to the girl.
Eddie had come, as drunk as Buck was, had wrapped his arm about Buck's neck and had hugged him slightly. Eddie had called Buck pet names back then, flirting with him very openly and Buck, even drunk, couldn't help himself from smiling.
The girl had went away and Eddie had stopped flirting.
Buck still bought him a glass back then.
"I mean- Eddie, what are you-" Buck continued, stepping back against the wall as Eddie took a step closer. Fuck, he was being cornered. He could feel the cold wall against the fabric of his t-shirt as Eddie stepped closer, again.
Don't get him wrong, Buck loved getting cornered and pinned down and all that shit, but he was slightly panicking about the fact that Eddie was not straight, and possibly attracted to him.
"Do you?" Eddie repeated, voice low now as he looked up to Buck through his lashes, cheeks pink. "Do you want to fuck me, Buckley?" Buck's entirely body warmth changed location and visited his dick. That wasn't helping. "Bend me over the counter, hold me down and-"
"Please." Buck sighed, frowning as he closed his eyes. His hands glued themselves to the wall, palm pressing against the pain of the wall.
"Please?" Eddie asked and Buck could hear him smiling.
"Don't-" Buck let out a breath, shaking his head slightly. "Saying that, it doesn't-" He groaned, frustrated and breath uneven.
"It's a simple question, Buck," Eddie asked, voice soft and yet, Buck could read the undertone. Eddie was flirting, he was still flirting with Buck. Please, don't say it. Please, don't say it. Please, don't say it. "Do you want to fuck-"
"Yes." It came out stranded. He opened his eyes slowly, swallowing hard once saw the face of the man he was in love with. "Don't- Please, don't ask again." He almost begged, letting his hands fall from the wall.
"You should." Eddie nodded, crossing his arms on his chest. What? Buck frowned at the words. "Fuck me, I mean. You should." He continued, making it clear and Buck froze, looking up away from Eddie with his eyes blown wide.
Was Eddie crazy? What Buck going crazy as well? Had he been imagining this whole scene?
"Unfreeze, Buckley. I'm trying to flirt with you." Eddie clicked his tongue against his teeth. Buck's eyes looked down immediately. Eddie's eyes grew a little wider, a smirk on his lips and Buck didn't really understand. "You're clicker trained?" Eddie teased and Buck blinked a few times.
"What?" He asked and Eddie chuckled.
"We'll come back to that." He shook his head, looking down and still smiling. Eddie was such a pretty person. Buck didn't know what to do with a best friend this pretty. His rosy cheeks were lit up by the golden hour of the morning outside like-
I'm trying to flirt with you.
"Wait, what did you say?" Buck frowned, taking a step away from the wall and closer to Eddie. Eddie looked back up, frowning.
"That we'd come back to that?" Eddie smiled, canines showing and Buck's heart melted a little. "Except if you wanna talk about it now-" He started, eyebrows raising and pushing his lips into a line, a little teasing.
"No, before that." Buck corrected and Eddie stopped, still smiling.
"I'm trying to flirt-" He couldn't finish his sentence. Eddie was standing there, perfect like Eddie always was and he had been trying to flirt with Buck for over an hour. So how could Buck resist?
Buck took a step closer, grabbing Eddie by the waist and pulling him closer, causing a little gasp out of Eddie's mouth. The sound hit Buck straight in the chest as their lips grazed, breathing into into each other.
Eddie's hands moved without both of them noticing, and rested on Buck's arms, fingers curling into the fabric of Buck's t-shirt. His eyes were a little wide, a little surprised, but he was still smiling, maybe even a little bigger than before.
Buck looked down at Eddie's lips for a micro second, then back at his eyes. His eyes were glistening with what Buck describe as Oh, fuck yeah. Buck was really into that look.
"Took you long enough." Eddie breathed, smiling as Buck chuckled, a little under his breath. How did they go this long without touching each other?
"Yeah." Buck nodded, nose hitting Eddie's as this one swallowed hard once before leaning into Buck, lips still not touching. "You should probably kiss me." Buck whispered and Eddie smiled, mouth shut.
"You know, I did most of the work here," Eddie started, a smile on his lips as he hit Buck's arm softly. "So, you should definitely-"
Buck's lips were on his before he could even notice it. Oh, fuck. Buck was already addicted to it. He breathed Eddie in, closing his eyes to just focus on the moment. This could be something he wouldn't be able to do again, if Buck had been reading the signs completely wrong.
Which, he doubted he did.
Eddie soon melted into the kiss, grabbing Buck's t-shirt to pull him closer onto him. He opened his mouth a little, trying to breath, Buck took that as an invitation and accepted. His tongue passed on Eddie's lips slowly and then came in like it owned the place.
It did. Now, it did.
Eddie whined a little, moving his hands further up to catch a handful of hair. He continued to lick into Buck's mouth. The kiss wasn't sweet and soft, like it always was when Buck dreamed of it. The kiss was hot, a mess and hungry. Buck was, he was hungry for Eddie like he had never been hungry for anybody else.
"Buck," Eddie tried as Buck walked him backwards for his back to hit the kitchen island. Buck hummed an answer that meant Go on, ask but he knew he was a little shit because Eddie couldn't speak when Buck's tongue was inside his mouth.
When Eddie started pulling away, Buck followed, never taking his lips off of his best friend's. There were two reasons for that. The first one was that Eddie was addictive and if Buck could, he would get his lips glued to Eddie's. The second one was that if Eddie were to pull away from Buck and then look at him with pure disgust, regretting the kiss, Buck might kill himself.
"Buck," Eddie mouthed against Buck's lips and Buck groaned, frowning as he pulled away. "You didn't fuck me last night," He whispered, lowering a hand to grab Buck's on his waist. Buck opened his eyes slowly, meeting Eddie's soft smile. How fucking pretty. "Thank you."
"Why?" Buck asked and Eddie tilted his head.
"I think I would've hated myself if we did have sex last night," Buck grimaced, wincing and Eddie opened his eyes wide. "Wait, no, not like that." He quickly corrected and Buck couldn't do anything but frown and tilt his head. "I barely remember last night," Eddie continued, playing with Buck's fingers as Buck watched Eddie's lips curl into a smile. "I want to remember it, when we do it for the first time." He finished and Buck let out a sigh he couldn't quite describe.
Eddie was adorable.
"But also, I was hella drunk and if you had fucked me, I probably wouldn't have trusted you for a little while." He added and Buck nodded, a smile on his face, pushing his cheeks up.
"More than a little while, I hope." Buck said, pecking Eddie's lips softly as this one smiled at that exact moment. Buck ended up kissing Eddie's teeth, making them laugh a little.
"Mhm," Eddie nodded, kissing Buck back. "I love you." He whispered against Buck's lips and this one's breath hitched. His eyes started watering before he could even notice it.
"I love you too, Eds." Buck answered, kissing Eddie again as this one sighed of relief.
Silence reigned in the room as Buck and Eddie continued to kiss against the counter, softly for the not to wake the kids up. Their kids. Their kids who were sleeping down the hall. Or something like that.
