He would have thought that he was talking to a dead man if it wasn’t for the occasional flutter of the prisoner’s eyes and the steady rise of his chest.
And maybe he is talking to a dead man. Physically he is alive but inside of this body, there is no one left to control and observe. This is just an empty shell of the person he used to be. A human doll with no own will (because his was broken into millions of pieces, impossible to repair)
