Shane and Ilya met coincidentally, on Omegle, several times before meeting in person. Throughout their tumultuous relationship from that point forward, they returned to the chat site for companionship, and a distraction from who they each really wanted to be talking to - running into each other, again, every time.
Now (set during TLG, but everything is pushed forward five years because omegle was not launched until 2009) Ilya is determined to prove to Shane that the website, with all its flaws, was flawless at bringing them together, and they search for each other on purpose.
