“I know it wouldn’t be enough to make up for everything my family and I have done to him, but…” Kimi starts again, then he sighs, clearly frustrated with himself. He tilts his head upwards, closes his eyes for a second and takes a deep breath. When he’s ready to try once more, he still looks embarrassed, but determined to push through it. “Do you think Max would appreciate flowers?”
“Flowers?” Charles doesn’t mean to sound as baffled as he does, but…
He just never thought about it. Giving Max flowers. He hasn’t even really thought about the two components at the same time before.
But now that he does — thanks to a very nervous looking Kimi — it sounds like the greatest idea he’s ever heard of.
Or: Charles get to know Prince Kimi a little better (they have more in common than they thought)

“No, I am sure it is him.” The first man insisted, the grip around Max’s shoulder tightening painfully as he was heaved forward and onto his knees. “I have seen him before.”
Max’s whole body slumped in, his eyes falling shut. They refused to open again, every breath a strain on his lungs.
There was a hand seizing him by the back of the hated steel collar around his neck, ripping on it so his head was tilted upwards, calloused fingers gripping his chin. The small pain the rough treatment caused was nothing compared to the one in the rest of his body, Max barely felt it.
“It is him. Max Emilian Verstappen.”

Or Max is the evil knight haunting the lands of Europe during the dark ages, but when he's caught and presented to the young Prince of Ferrari, Charles figures he might not actually be that bad
