Summary
It was freezing, and the biting cold was already affecting him. Limbs were heavy, and Peter didn't need to sink down again.
He saw the lights of a city in the distance and made a move towards it. The swim was long and laborious. He felt uncoordinated, waves kept knocking him back, and it was just so fucking cold.
By the time he reached close enough to the flood wall Peter was exhausted. It took all his strength to pull himself out of the water and stick to it. All he wanted to do was stay still and stick to that damn wall. Water lapped below him splashing up his leg, as if the bay was reaching out to drag him below her depths once more. Peter forced himself to finish climbing the flood wall, where he allowed himself to collapse for just a moment.
Or: Peter leaves the problems of his universe, and inherits the problems of another.

The man must see his confusion as he grins. He doesn’t seem keen on more explanation though. “Since you’ve arrived on such short notice, I’m afraid I can’t offer you any tea however-“
He walks over the cabinets opening drawers and doors so quickly it looks like a whirlwind. After a few seconds he holds a plate and, with a dramatic twirl, presents it to Zoro. A plain white porcelain plate filled with tiny pieces of seasoned bread. “Here, a treat from the forgotten prince of Germa”
He bows slightly and smiles up at Zoro.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, my name is Sanji.”

Zoro's stuck and of course lost in a foreign dictatorial nation alone. He chances of escape look bleak until he runs into Germa's most hated prince: Sanji. Zoro accepts Sanji's offer to escape the nation together except he has a strange request for Zoro. Sanji is obviously hiding something, but will Zoro be able to figure out who exactly Sanji truly is? and will he be able to save Sanji from whatever it is he's running from?

Of all the things that Zoro finds fascinating about Sanji, the humming is definitely the most elusive one. Always the same tune, always just soft enough under his breath that it wouldn't draw the attention of anyone else. But it drew his attention more than he cared to admit.
After his encounter with Kuma, it was even the first thing he heard after solidly coming back to himself as Sanji sat sentry beside him. Zoro had just narrowly escaped death — maybe he could finally allow himself to indulge himself in resolving his curiosity of just what that song was.

Zeff once told him he had a soft heart, that he fell too easily for people, that it was going to get him hurt one day. Sanji is pretty sure he was right, that he is a little in love with every person he's ever met. Compensation for a lack of love in his childhood, he supposes, but it's not the worst flaw he could have.

Sanji falls in love with all of his friends. Then he falls in love with Zoro, which is not the same thing.
