Namjoon's the only one awake when the very last TV channel cuts out and goes to static, and he's glad. It's easier to wake up to find something gone than to have to watch it go, and the others have already had enough of fear and dread and uncertainty. He turns the television off and sits in the dark, listening to his pack breathe and snore and shift all around him and thinks, whatever it takes. I'll do whatever it takes to keep them safe.

Summary
This memoir-style story follows Kim Seokjin, a high-achieving Biochemical Engineering PhD student at Seoul National University, who suffers from a "chronic condition": an absolute biological addiction to his boyfriend, Jeon Jungkook. Despite his deep understanding of human physiology, Seokjin finds himself a victim of his own hormones, experiencing involuntary and frequent "POPs" (sudden erections) whenever the brilliant and beautiful architecture student does anything from sharpening a pencil to whispering a soft "I love you."
The narrative captures the hilarity of Seokjin’s struggle to remain professional under the judgmental eyes of his friends and family, while revealing a deeper dynamic where Seokjin takes a commanding role in their private life. Despite his tendency to "POP" within minutes due to over-stimulation, Seokjin impresses Jungkook with his relentless stamina and "self-reloading" biology that allows for multiple nightly rounds. The story concludes with an epilogue where a now-graduated Seokjin manages to maintain his composure at a biotech firm, only to succumb to his addiction the moment he returns home to his new fiancé.
