Summary
At the start of his senior year, Flux is feeling on top of the world. He's won the housing lottery and gotten into his top choice of classes. Even better, the newest season of Decayed and Decrepit (his current fandom obsession) premieres in a couple weeks. In fact, Flux is almost feeling good enough to believe that this might be the year in which he finally works up the courage to confess to his online best friend, Silas, about the years-long crush Flux has on him.
That is, until Saparata shows up: Flux's biggest academic rival and the most insufferable person on campus, who seems determined to ruin Flux's good mood and make his life a living hell.
or: the one in which Flux pines, writes fanfiction, mistakenly falls for the same person twice, and makes a lot of bad decisions along the way.

The heated, charged breaths flow between them, brushing against his expectant lips with an electric intensity. Their faces hovered just inches apart, the warmth of shared energy creating an almost palpable anticipation that seemed to suspend time. In that moment, it felt as if the world around them had faded away, leaving only the two of them ensnared in a thick cocoon of longing, entwined so deeply that escape would be impossible even if they wanted to.
Chance wraps his hands around Mafioso's, mouthing a pale "You need me."

“Like what ya see?” The words struck Chance with a bolt of realization. He flinched hard, like he’d been slapped in the face, and just like that, his awareness came crashing back. He’d been caught staring. Just sitting there, eyes glued to another man’s junk like he didn’t have a shred of self-control.
Chance barely had time to react. A hand shot out, grabbing him hard, fingers digging in as his jaw was yanked forward. A quiet, pained breath slipped past Chance’s chapped lips, then he felt it.
“Go on,” Caporegime murmured, voice taunting. The head nudged harder against his mouth. “Say ahh.”
Or, Consigliere & Caporegime were given one very simple task, don’t let Chance out of their sight. Everything else? Fair game.

The fire in his eyes reflects a hunger that seems to awaken something deep within him, transforming him into a nearly savage creature. As he leans in closer, he savors every morsel of his lover, his instincts guiding him.
“W—Wait, what do you think you're—ah!”
