Its been 10 months since he got into Smash. And Cloud... Hasn't been happy since.
All of his friends noticed Cloud liked "observing" Sephiroth from a distance. They never talk, they never interacted, only the few times they do is when they battle or by chance of bumping into him.But as Cloud observed Sephiroth over the months, he noticed Sephiroth has change, drastically.
And with his friends talking about how Sephiroth is different from before, Cloud may be willing to take the chance.
