Summary
Shane had practice passing as a beta. But he’d never lived with anyone except for his parents. Now, a freshman at the University of Toronto, he had to room with someone else. He’d accidentally waited too long to get on the list for a single room thanks to his busy training schedule, which he was kicking himself for as soon as he laid eyes on Ilya. Clearly, he would be Shane’s undoing. A part of him, his inner omega, suggested that maybe he could stand to come undone, even just a little. He suppressed the voice, instead focusing on trying to get his heart to stop pounding in his ears.

Shane and Ilya are not only teammates playing for the Toronto Varsity Blues. They also share a dorm at the University of Toronto. With Ilya around almost constantly, Shane can feel his beta facade slipping. But omegas can’t play hockey on the level he wants to. That, and falsifying one’s second gender (as Shane has for years) is punishable by years in prison.

Summary
“I’ve…seen you around campus and it’s good to finally meet you. Like, properly.” He fumbled over the words, his tongue feeling thick and heavy and entirely too big for his mouth. Whether it was from the weed or the nerves from Ilya's presence, Shane couldn't tell.
“I’ve seen you, too.” Ilya grabbed the cigarette from behind his ear, bringing it to his mouth before lighting it.
“Really?” He watched as Ilya took a long inhale from the cigarette. Shane wanted to say something in that moment, something about how mixing alcohol, weed, and nicotine was probably a bad idea, but the words died in his throat as Ilya blew out smoke from the corner of his mouth and grinned at him. He looked so fucking good.
“Da, Shane Hollander.” Shane fought back a shiver as his name fell from Ilya’s lips. He loved how Ilya’s voice had wrapped around the vowels, long drawn out and quiet. He wanted to hear it again and again.
or, Shane Hollander has had a crush on Ilya Rozanov from afar for the past three years. They finally meet at a party.

Summary
Rozanov watches him for a second, something a little sharper slipping into his gaze. “How did you figure it out?’’ He pauses. “That it’s me?’’
“Mmm. First, I recognised your chain when you got out of the water.’’ Shane says brushing the cross that hung from Rozanov’s neck with a finger. “ I went to check the pictures you sent me to make sure it’s the same, and it was. Well and then you sent a message in the group chat.”
“So you immediately texted me the moment you found out?’’
“Basically, yeah.”
“Good thing you do not think and also sent a message into chat.’’ Rozanov snickers teasingly.
