Summary
Title is from a line in Shylock's speech in Act 3, Scene 1 of Shakespeare's 'Merchant of Venice'. (Crow Daddy himself quotes passages from this particular part of the play a few times in the 'Doctor Sleep' novel.)
*Dan, Rose the Hat, and Crow Daddy are a bit of an odd throuple, if you will, but damned if I'm not into it.
I'm mostly just diddling around with whatever ideas come to me in this AU-- not too many "plot" ideas. I'm guessing this'll mostly be vignettes and ficlets and such for a (self-indulgent) OT3.

The year is 428 EIC. Dr. Theo Kimura, once a physician and member of the Consolidation of Iron, has landed himself aboard a submarine that will carry out his personalized death sentence. The COI has moved on to attacks against whatever creatures inhabit AT-5 in desperate hopes that they will be able to synthesize food from the organic matter. Theo's objectives? Skewer whatever is down there, then die. His crimes? Learning too much and not keeping his mouth shut. As well as treason and murder, of course.
Theo accepted his fate. He didn't expect to make it out alive, somehow.
He certainly didn't expect to meet anyone.

Summary
Simon doesn't make it back to the recon point before his 30-minute time limit. After Ava is attacked, communication is severed between the two pilots, and Simon assumes she is dead. With the only one willing to bring him back up gone, Simon resigns to his fate in the depths.
Simon manages to escape the monstrosity lurking in the deep, but the SM-13 was damaged in the process. As the convict fights for his last moments of life against the rising blood and monstrous flesh growing on the walls of the sub, the radio crackles to life.
