“Non” Lestat grabbed his hand and pulled him up from his seat, “You said you would update my wardrobe. Pick my outfits for me.”
This made him happy. He wanted to pick out all of Lestat’s clothes, but didn’t want to overstep the bounds of their friendship. Given his proclivities, he tried to stay away from anything that might give his interests away. It was one thing to tell a man to update his clothes and another to shop for him.

Flirtation and far too many excuses to spend time together. Louis and Lestat stumble through the beginnings of a romance, learning how to navigate love while neither of them is particularly good at being honest about their feelings.

“What you didn’t miss me baby?” He coos as he runs a hand down Armand’s shoulder. “I expected you to show up in New Orleans. You know? Do that little stalking number you do.” As his hands go lower, his nails begin to dig into Armand’s skin, no doubt leaving marks.
------------“I’ve caught you in a fantasy again, my love. One where you come back from New Orleans and I grovel for your love and affection. I will not.” He sighed, “I am not Lestat, I will not burn the city down in my rage for you. I will let you go. You’re free, Louis.”

“You're mad at me,” Louis says from behind him.
Armand turns, finds Louis putting away his camera and book, shrugging off his jacket. Looking at Armand, from the corner of his eye, weary. Preemptively exhausted.
“No, I'm not,” Armand says.
Louis snorts. “Sure.”
It's true. He thinks it's true, at least. Armand isn’t angry. He's. Hm. What to call it, that sharp splinter lodged between his ribs? The sudden desperation rising in his throat like bile, not at all pleasant?
Louis and Armand discuss companionship.

"I gasped, rendered defenseless. The fabric ripping open with one fluid tear. He smiled at me, then, and for a moment I thought that he was the devil I'd sworn to serve. He tore at my coat, my shirt, until I was bare from the waist up, the cold damp stones at my back chilling through me and making the heat of him and his recently fed and ruddy skin feel like burning coals hovering near. I had not known this sin for centuries. A welcome respite, at once, but now I was aflame with desire to be touched again. To be touched by him.

"'Lies.'"OR, Lestat and Armand's recounting of certain events to Daniel do not line up. Obviously, everyone's gotta fuck about it.
