Summary
She looks at Baran’s mouth. She could kiss her, she thinks.
‘Trinity,’ Baran says, voice low and edged with warning.
‘What?’ She looks straight at Baran, smirks a little.
‘What are you doing?’ She tilts her head, bores straight into Trinity’s eyes.
Trinity’s heart drops deliciously. Baran’s eyes glint and her voice is so honeyed and she’s looking at her like fucking that and of course Trinity is gonna fucking say something. Trinity isn’t even really flirting with her, not yet.
‘’M not doing anything,’ she mumbles. She leans a little closer.
Baran smirks. ‘Trinity.’
‘What?’ she repeats. She’s smiling. She could kiss her.

Summary
She didn’t know how long she sat in her car, clutching her keys and leaning over the steering wheel, crying and trying to stop, when a knock at her window made her jump halfway out of her skin.
Turning to the window, uselessly wiping at her eyes, she saw Dr. Ellis leaning down to her driver side window, eyebrows scrunched together and concern in her dark eyes.
___
Dr. Al-Hashimi is sad and Dr. Ellis notices.

Summary
The screams of the crowd don't faze the go-go girl. Trixie holds her gaze as she downs her drink, and pays for another after the woman peels off the kaftan and lets it drift down her arms into those of the security guard standing at attention below the cage, in case the worst happens. Trixie wonders darkly if it has before, given the high heels of her boots and the low mindfulness she seems to possess.

Summary
Trixie stared out to the horizon, the last of the sun's rapidly disappearing rays casting golden shadows over his face. He stretched out lazily, full and long like a cat, warmth of the day seeped into his bones and sore thighs. They’d been riding all day. He looked over at Katya, shoulders slumped, smoking slowly, a small smile pulling at his mouth as they made eye contact. The smoke from Katya’s cigarettes always burned his eyes. He never showed it.
