Summary
2001.
Sam Winchester left for Stanford.
Since then, Dean has been hunting alone.
While investigating a series of brutal attacks in a small Midwestern town, Dean stumbles across repeated references to a forgotten angel known as Castiel, the Angel of Thursday.
He thinks nothing of it.
Until a joke, a church clock striking midnight, and a desperate prayer summon something that answers.
What begins as an unlikely partnership turns into four years of lonely highways, cheap motels, monster hunts, and the slow, inevitable process of learning how to trust someone again.

Summary
Dean Winchester knows exactly who he is: a tool for his father, a spare part left behind by his brother, and a hunter destined to die in a nameless ditch. He doesn't get choices, and he definitely doesn't get happy endings.
But a fatal car crash on an empty Iowa highway doesn't bring a funeral. Instead, it drops Dean headfirst into a world that runs on a completely different set of rules. An Omegaverse universe straight out of a cheap paperback romance novel.
Stranded in a decade that isn't his, Dean is ready to fight his way out of the hallucination. But the story's main protagonist, an alpha angel named Castiel, isn't following the plotlines anymore. He doesn't want the original heroine. He wants the defensive, sarcastic male hunter who just crashed into his reality. Connected by an undeniable bond of fate, Dean is forced to navigate a broken narrative, a fiercely protective angel, and a horrifying reality:
He’s the omega who took the heroine's place.

Summary
Dean's never had faith. That's always been Sammy. But he thinks if there were ever a time for divine intervention, it would be now. Gazing up at the few stars that aren't occluded by the haze and light pollution, he feels fucking stupid when he opens his mouth to speak.
"God, if you're out there," he says, "I don't know what to do. I... I don't have anybody left. I need some help. God, man, just give me a sign."
Closing his eyes, he sits there. He can hear far off sounds of traffic and the whistle of the wind, but not much else. He thinks he catches a distant fluttering of wings, but there's no reply. Not that he really expected one.
(S1/S2 Rewrite) After Sam refuses to help Dean find their father, Dean prays for guidance. He doesn't expect to find it in an awkward, amnesiac angel, but at least he's easy on the eyes.

Summary
Dean Winchester wasn't expecting much of anything for his twenty-first birthday. Maybe a cheap bottle of whiskey from Bobby or a new hunting knife from Sam, you know, something small. So imagine his surprise when he gets a whole stalker. And an angelic one at that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Or: Castiel falls in love with Dean at first sight and can't be normal about it so he starts stalking him.
