Summary
Steve Harrington hasn't been able to sleep in he doesn't even know how long. His dreams are plagued by memories of the Russians, nearly dying alone in the Upside Down, and Eddie's own close encounter. Not to mention the ringing and fuzzy hearing in his left ear isn't helping his jumpiness.
Needing to see Eddie's okay and in a fit of sleep deprivation, Steve turns up at Eddie's home who can't help but bring him in and sees how bad Steve really has been. And of course he'll find any way to help him no matter how much he says he doesn't need it.

Dennis bit the quick of his thumbnail, nibbling until he drags the skin to a hangnail. Until his tongue blooms with the taste of salty copper. He stops briefly, pulls away to inspect his thumb before ripping off the piece of skin once and for all. A piercing cry snaps his attention and his heart lurches forward, body moving on autopilot. Still, he's drowning.
_ _ _Dennis is a single dad and no one in the Pitt knows. Actually, no one knows he (and his daughter) are unhoused either. That all changes when his baby gets sick and only gets worse, forcing him to show up in the ED distraught.

Summary
Whitaker hates the rain. It makes everything feel clammy, damp, and humid, so humid that he feels like he can’t breathe. His shoes have no grip so he constantly slipping and ruining his dry clothes. He hates the feeling of wet clothes clinging to his body, he hates having damp hair. He hates the rain.
Today was rainy.
He shared this hatred of the rain with someone, someone who he wanted to forget about. But this person kept finding their way back into his life, to ruin it. He hated them more than the rain.
Whitaker had seen the rain many times, so seeing the rain today wasn’t anything surprising. But what was surprising… was seeing the person he hated more than the rain, walking through the Er doors. Damp, clammy and his clothes clinging to his body.

He sticks out like a sore thumb and something in Robby clenches at the sight of Dennis, his Dennis, surrounded by the debauchery of the place Robby used to go to make bad decisions."
