But then Eggsy noticed how, when Merlin called him Galahad, Harry would sometimes react. Noticed how sometimes at HQ when Eggsy was suited and booted, just sometimes, Merlin would call him Harry by mistake. And then one night, when Merlin was reading head bent at the kitchen table, Harry walked behind him and placed his hands on Merlin’s shoulders and placed a jokey kiss - a neutral peck, nothing more, to the top of his head and Merlin, engrossed in paperwork had reached a hand up to his shoulder and murmured ‘Eggsy’ before realising.
And Harry had laughed and clipped his head and told him to put the paperwork away dinner was almost ready, and Merlin had laughed and folded away his notes saying he must be overdoing it if he could mistake Harry’s no-good self for the love of his life and Eggsy had laughed and realised that perhaps, just maybe, he was a substitute all along.

Summary
Eggsy doesn’t think he has ever seen Harry speechless before. Even when in the midst of memory loss and confusion he had a civilised answer and response to everything. Hell, even when Ginger and Merlin almost drowned him, he’d responded with manners and politeness.
When the Statesman lout had talked of sucking dick Harry had responded with a horrified look and a polite but dismayed ‘I hardly think that will be necessary’. The man had an answer for everything. So, watching him stammer at Merlin is an unsettling experience.
“What do you mean, no?”
Merlin looks pointedly at Harry before answering. “Exactly what I say Harry. No.”
“But…”
Harry needs assistance but Merlin can't (or won't) help him. Until that is, he suggests Eggsy steps into the breach.
And Eggsy will do anything for Harry, so...

Summary
In hindsight all that can be said is that Robson’s plot was more ambitious than his delivery. In the end nothing happened but a car bomb taking out a handful of victims with its brutal shrapnel and debris. The chemicals failed to react, due to the ineptitude of the build. So, the Borough of Greenwich is saved from the fall out of a dirty bomb, a handful of slaves are rescued from the warehouse where they were supposed to be building more of the devices and Robson gets to provide Percival with names and numbers and plenty of tears before…disappearing.
Oh... and a respected agent is killed due to the ineptitude of his colleague.
Eggsy sees this from his vantage point at the window. Sees and understands immediately. He knows what he’s done.
He knows protocol and he speaks into the silence.
“Merlin, I… I’ll go to the extraction point. I’ll wait. No fuss. You know that.” He hesitates. “Merlin…have Harry do it yeah?”
Eggsy knows the protocol.

So for a while that’s the routine the house settles into: Junior has his own room, Steve and Danny share one, and Eddie has all the luxury a dog could ever wish for in having the couch all to himself.
And then Junior moves out.
Or: Obviously Danny is very happy when there’s suddenly nothing forcing Steve and him to sleep in the same bed anymore. So happy! Just so, so happy.
