    Summary

    It's the... what the fuck?

    The toxin's never been like this before. It creates hallucinations and triggers the fear receptors in your brain but it doesn't shove you into your worst memories and makes you feel like you are actually in there. Like you're actually living through it again.

    The pain, the fear... they were as sharp as when he actually suffered it.

    That was... way more than what he signed up for.

    He looks for Bruce, but the man isn't there. Tim is next to the Batcomputer, talking into a recording device.

    "- much stronger than previous strains."

    ---

    Tim thinks Jason is immune to fear toxin, so the best (and only) plan they have to combat Scarecrow's new formula is to test it on him and get an antidote ASAP.

    Jason might've been bluffing when he said that the poison didn't affect him - but he'll be damned if he lets Barman see him scared. Again.

    So he accepts.

    Unfortunately, the Lazarus Pit effects force his family to live through his most painful, terrifying memories with him.

    And none of them know what to do.

    Bookmarker's Notes

    { He doesn’t know if he can forget what they saw. If he can forgive Bruce, or even himself. He doesn’t know if he’ll ever feel normal again.

    But he can try.

    He thinks maybe that’s enough.;

    The movie plays on.

    The storm inside him still rages, but the eye of it — right here, right now — is calm.

    And for the first time in what feels like years… Jason doesn’t feel alone. }

    SUCH A GOOD FANFIC. I WAS SOBBING THE WHOLE TIME.

    Summary

    Mistakes on missions happen all the time, but one in particular binds Bruce and Hal together in a way neither of them were anticipating. Though, sometimes all it takes is one stupid snafu to realise that maybe the colleague you’re supposed to dislike isn’t actually all that bad.

    { “Damn, you’re a pain in my ass,” Hal said, because he couldn’t be normal about anything. “I’m still gonna blame you for everything.”

    “That’s okay. You could probably use the win.”

    “There comes a line where you’re just deliberately trying to be a dick and I think we just crossed it.”

    “And?”

    “Douchebag. I’m gonna kiss you now.”

    “Alright.”

    “And it’s gonna be sappy as hell.”

    “Alright.”

    “Seriously, brace yourself.”

    “Alri—mmph!” }

    The colony of seals didn’t usually bother Hal whenever he was working, so he paid them no mind unless he was trying to get one to move out his way.

    How was he supposed to know that finding one of their pelts would trigger a whole-ass situation he was totally unqualified to deal with?

    { “That your way of saying goodbye?”

    “I didn’t say goodbye,” Bruce replied. “I’ve still got some time before I have to go back.”

    At that, Hal grinned. “That’s right, you get seven days of legs,” he said.

    “Seven days,” Bruce confirmed. “For now, at least.”

    “For now?”

    Bruce smiled secretly. “There are ways around the limitations,” he reminded him.

    “Well,” he said, setting his coffee down and pushing himself into Bruce’s space. “I guess seven days are good enough for now.” }

    What does he do? Goes to the smartest person he knows: Tim Drake

    There's only one problem: Tim Drake is...seven?

    Things just got really complicated.

    Or,

    Jason Todd is transported to a universe where Bruce is a good dad, Dick is a good brother, and Tim is seven years old—and needs a babysitter.

    Bookmarker's Notes

    { C.S. Lewis said that love is never wasted because its value does not rest upon reciprocity, that it is more than an emotion—it is a decision. Alexandre Dumas wrote that all human wisdom is contained in these two words: wait and hope. And Leonard Cohen sang about ringing bells and forgetting perfect offerings because there is a crack in everything; it’s how the light gets in.

    So, given this logic, there is a possibility that the universe is not as indifferent as we are led to believe.

    Or maybe that’s just the bizarre nature of second chances. }

    Summary

    *This story is a stand-alone story, all stories in this series are stand-alones*

    He was three steps away when he heard it.

    "—and how is that even POSSIBLE?" He recognized the voice immediately. Tim. And he sounded... not good.

    Jason should have left. Should have just aborted the mission and come back another time when Tim wasn't around. That was the smart play. The tactical play. But curiosity was a bitch, and Jason found himself moving toward the sound instead of away from it. He peered around the doorframe and saw Tim in his office, pacing like a caged animal with at least five empty coffee cups scattered across his desk. The kid looked like he hadn't slept in a week. Maybe longer.

    Oh, for fuck's sake.

    Bookmarker's Notes

    { They've surrounded me. They've coordinated an interception. This is a family ambush.

    I'm going to kill Tim. }

    LMFAO I CAN'T BREATHE-

    { "It's co-op," Tim interrupted, already setting up the console. "We'd play together. Against the computer. No competition. Just... teamwork."

    Jason was quiet for a long moment. "You're really bad at having a normal social life, you know that?"

    "I'm trying." Tim looked up from the cables he was untangling. "I'm really trying, okay? I don't actually know how to do this. I just- I don’t want us to be nothing more than coworkers or people who trained under the same mentor… I'm making it up as I go."

    The confession hung in the air between them.

    Jason's expression softened. "Okay. Fine. Let's try your stupid co-op game."

    They were terrible at it.

    But they started playing every Friday because they had to beat Dick’s record. }

    BROTHERS, YOUR HONOR, BROTHERS!!! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!
