After the battle against Voleth Meir, Yennefer is overwhelmed by guilt and self-loathing. She walks unnoticed into the snow to end the pain forever.But Jaskier finds her at the last moment, and Yennefer wakes reluctantly to the chill of Kaer Morhen and a bleak determination to atone for her mistakes and train Ciri. She refuses to speak to anyone about what happened, assuming the role of the Sorceress again—a mask that grows increasingly heavy as the tide of despair rises again.
In the aftermath of Ciri’s possession and Yennefer’s near-death, Geralt struggles to understand his feelings and retreats into stony denial. But that can’t survive Ciri’s determination, Jaskier’s reproach, or the evidence of his own senses. Yennefer is slipping away from him, again. As a snowstorm howls outside the keep, witcher and sorceress must fight grief, regret, and all the mistakes of their past. To reach not just reconciliation, but a true and painful honesty.

"...Uh, alright." He closed his eyes and lowered his head back to the pillow—as though getting into character, or just psyching himself up, he wasn't sure—before he looked back up at her, trying to look at least a little sexy. With his hand on her moving hip, he rumbled, "Good girl."
Yennefer released a punched-out breath. As she leaned back with a sigh, she said with awe and a bit of surprise, "Oh, I do quite like that."

so let's spend an afternoon in a...When Yennefer comes up and says 'get dressed, we're going to Skellige,' there's not much you can do. Didn't matter he was in the middle of afternoon tea, didn't matter he had a windowframe half-repainted, didn't matter that he didn't particularly want to be in Skellige. Yen said they were going, so go they did.
Or: Yennefer has a date idea, and Geralt will enjoy it whether he wants to or not.

And then there was that look the blonde always seemed to give her afterwards. It was the same look she received from everyone lately when she left her former mentor's office. Compassion. Like she´s the only one who mourned Tissaia.
As if they didn't also notice how Aretuzas former rectoress, seemed to be missing everywhere. Because that's exactly what she did.
She was missing when one of the students made a new advance. She was absent in the hallways, as well as in class. She was missing, next to Triss in the lab, to help her with some potions or when Sabrina was being a bitch. She was missing during the search for Ciri and she would be missing during the training of the young princess, because no one was as capable of teaching her as she was. Even now four weeks later she was still missing when Yennefer entered the office and nothing but emptiness and a dead flower were waiting for her there.
In every corner, in every minute of every single damn day, she was missing. And Yennefer seemed like the only one who seemed to notice.
- Or just a little look in Yennefer´s thoughts after Tissaia died and Ciri´s return.
