Yoonchae crosses her arms. “Well, the last time I did that, you got the cherry blossom tattooed.”
Megan rolls onto her side. “I liked it too much, it was exactly my type. But I kinda want another one now.” She blinks up at Yoonchae with wide eyes, cranking her pout up to full power as she tugs at the fabric in her hand.

Then, of course, I'll let you break my heart again.The concept of infinity had never really made sense to Megan. I mean how can you know it really exists, if it’s unmeasurable? Do we just trust it goes on and on? How do we know the universe is limitless if we can’t ever check?
And then there’s zero. Nothing. Can you imagine zero? Picture it? It’s impossible, much like trying to picture infinity. Impossible.
And then there’s the two together.
Infinity times nothing. It’ll always be nothing, won’t it?
Such an odd concept, one Megan never thought she’d truly grasp.
But she gets it now.

Yoonchae finished the rest of her nightly skincare routine on autopilot.
Cleanser rinsed away, foam swirling down the drain; toner tapped into her skin, a slightly tacky feeling left behind; moisturizer smoothed over her cheeks until the air conditioning cools the product on her skin. The bathroom mirror had fogged up just enough with the leftover heat of her shower that her reflection had gone soft around the edges, blurrier, too.
She pads into her bedroom, bare feet sinking into the white plush of the rug, and reaches for her phone on her bedside table. It’s Friday night, finally. There’s no homework looming over her, no basketball practice for her body to dread. It’s just her, her bed, and the K-Drama she’s been saving for when she actually has both the time and energy to sit still for a few hours, pay attention, and get to fully enjoy it.
She’s nearly in her bed, can nearly taste the warmth of her comforter, when—
HOOOOOOOOOONK.
Yoonchae jolts, hand flying to her chest.

“You met who?” Manon says, staring at her like she’s lost her mind.
Megan pokes at the ice in her matcha latte with her straw.
“I don’t even know,” she says. “Some random girl joined my Minecraft world and just — started building a mansion. Like. Who does that?”
She takes a sip, sucks a little too hard, and immediately winces when a shard of ice pokes the back of her throat.
“Ow — fuck.”
Manon doesn’t look impressed.
“I’m not even convinced she’s a girl,” Megan adds.
Manon gives her a look.
“Dude. You know how Minecraft works, right? You have to be pretty close to join someone’s world, and on the same Wi-Fi.”
Megan pauses.
Manon continues, smug now.
“So yeah. She’s a girl. And she’s probably somewhere in your dorm.”
