The aftermath of Daryl at the Sanctuary through Paul's eyes. There is something simmering underneath, something terrifying and new. After charged exchanges at Hilltop, they find themselves stuck in a cabin in the woods with some tension to resolve.
I don't know how cannon compliant this is, just kind of spitballing off of memory during my Walking Dead rewatch. Rating subject to change.

Like a snake ready to strike. I hate the way he watches us, with a sort of awe. With a calculation. I hate that I truly know nothing about him. I hate that I want to.

Charlie hates Rizo. Absolutely cannot stand him. He can't wrap his head around him, and this all comes to a head when they go off in the woods alone. Punching and perhaps kissing insues.

I've thought briefly, desperately and maybe, that there was a point where this stopped being reality. Like I've died and went to some kind of hell. Like there's something that tries to satiate me with the memory of what once was, but has no understanding of the totality of that warmth, that light. Maybe this is a tube down my throat in some far away world, maybe seeing that demogoron float above me as Will's (apparently) chiseled face watched on was just my brain's last release of oxytocin before it's claws ripped the blood from my body. His white eyes have bored their way into the back of my skull every night in my dreams since. For more than a year now, I've kept these thoughts secret. Life moves on, and I am grieving people both alive and gone.
What if, after the fight at the MAC Z, Mike was taken with the children, and what we saw in the show is Vecna's trance? Otherwise known as I never believed in conformitygate so I'm just going to write it, because why the fuck not. Mike Wheeler is depressed as fuck and realizing the holes in his reality. Is he going crazy or is he finally sane? Major work in progress but I'd love if you'd stick around :) Set (sort of) a year after the epilogue.

He’s smiling up at me, the grass sticking into his hair, his head resting so gently on the ground. He’s searching for something in my face. I don’t know what there is to find. I want to know who this person is that he likes, for some reason I immediately distrust him. How couldn’t you like Will? Even fall in love with him? He, if anyone deserves it so wholly. He’s got a mole about the far end of his lip. His hair is darker and he lets it lie messier than when we were kids. It suits him well. It’s nice to look at so I look.
After the final battle, Mike is still confused about one thing... who did Will have a crush on? Byler finally has a heart to heart and it goes exactly as you think it does. Mike is oblivious and a little dumb, and honestly I think that's the only way his character works. Robin Buckley stays guarding Will with her life. A lot of this is speculative of the finale, so my bad if this ages terribly.
Written in the week between Vol.2 and the finale... I have thoughts about Vol.2 but that doesn't matter now, in theory this could be cannon right guys :) right?
