Even Joel's little brother Tommy showing up to the settlement of Jackson, which you consider home, doesn't rekindle the belief that you'll ever see him again.
It's not until the spring of 2024, when Joel waltzes back into your life with a sarcastic teenage girl in tow, that you allow yourself to think that maybe, just maybe things can go back to the way they used to be.
