Summary
It’s 1986, senior year and Eddie Munson joins the Hawkins High Baseball team in order to secure his extra curricular for graduation. In just one season he manages to secure a lot more than his walk across the stage. He becomes their Ace starting pitcher, forms unexpected friendships all the while unintentionally securing Steve Harrington’s heart, the popular jock who’s he’s had a crush on since freshman year.
“Will you go out with me?” Steve says breathlessly and suddenly as he holds Eddie’s face in his. “Fuck the friend rule,” he says as he shakes his head, “I want to take you out on a date. Let me take you out, please.” He asks exasperatedly.
Eddie's eyes widen as he looks to Steve dumbfounded before nodding his head.
“Yes.” He says breathlessly as his hands come up to Steve’s shoulders.
“Yes?” Steve repeats.
Eddie nods and smiles from ear to ear, “Yes."
Or baseball au where Steve realizes he has a crush on Eddie but fucks it up making Eddie create a no dick touching no lips kissing rule between them. Strap in it's full on angst and love confession central.
